    Walkden c Bracey b Kishore 24 (Lancashire 116-6 v Glos - target 248)

We said Lancashire were inching themselves back into things through Rocky Flintoff and Ben Walkden, but Gloucestershire strike back!

Sai Kishore is bowling into the footmarks on Ben Walkden's legs and he gets one to spit and there is a sharp edge which James Bracey snaffles behind the stumps.

More good work from the spinner and 'keeper in tandem and it ends a battling stand of 52.

In comes George Balderson to try to help Flintoff.

WICKETpublished at 15:18 BST 10 September

    Foakes c Simpson b Karvelas 54 - Sussex 393 v Surrey 166-5

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

"Foakes is livid there because it was the same as the previous delivery.

This time he gets a nibble on it. Great catch."

"Now Surrey have to start again."

  3. Back underway at Derbypublished at 15:18 BST 10 September

    Derbys 288-6 & 300 v Kent 219

We are back playing at the County Ground in Derby.

Taking tea when the rain shower came seems a sensible decision as Derbyshire and Kent can now resume on time after the interval.

Derbyshire lead by 369 runs with Brooke Guest unbeaten on 42.

  4. Postpublished at 15:17 BST 10 September

    Northants 32-0 v Worcs - target 94

Looking like plain sailing for Northants now as Ricardo Vasconcelos helps himself to boundaries in successive overs.

He picks up a leg-stump delivery from Ben Allison over backward square, then dabs Tom Taylor down past the slips.

Vasconcelos is 19 not out and another 62 are needed.

  5. wicket

DURHAM ALL OUT FOR 374published at 15:14 BST 10 September

    Ackermann c Duke b Morgan 48 (Durham 252 & 374 all out v Middlesex 203)

The stoppage for bad light at Chester-le-Street was a brief one!

And so is the end of the Durham innings.

Colin Ackermann adds one more, then goes for a big drive and edges behind off Seb Morgan to fall two short of a half-century.

Durham have advanced their advantage to 423, leaving Middlesex the nigh-on impossible target of 424.

  6. 100 runs

100 up for Leicestershirepublished at 15:14 BST 10 September

    Leicestershire 101-7 v Somerset, target 523

Leicestershire have, at least, brought up three figures.

Ajaz Patel has clipped one down the legs for four and then played a far more convincing shot down the pitch for another boundary.

Ben Cox is 23 not out and is offering some resistance at the other end.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:13 BST 10 September

    Foakes c Simpson b Karvelas 54 - Sussex 393 v Surrey 166-5

Sussex are back on top with both of Surrey's top run scorers in the innings now gone.

Ben Foakes tries to pull his bat inside the line facing Ari Karvelas but gets a thin edge to keeper John Simpson.

Here comes Adam Thomas. 227 behind.

  8. YORKSHIRE BEAT ESSEX BY AN INNINGS AND 106 RUNSpublished at 15:12 BST 10 September

    Yorkshire 390 v Essex 171 & 113 f/o

    Jonathan Doidge
    BBC Radio Leeds cricket commentator

"They will want to back up this performance with another good one. That is now the challenge for Yorkshire going forward."

  9. 50 runs

    50 partnershippublished at 15:11 BST 10 September

    Lancashire 116-5 v Glos - target 248

Rocky Flintoff's four to bring up his 50 also coincided with the 50 partnership between him and Ben Walkden and it is now worth 52.

Lancashire desperately needed a partnership and this one is drawing them back into the contest.

  10. YORKSHIRE BEAT ESSEX BY AN INNINGS AND 106 RUNSpublished at 15:09 BST 10 September
    Breaking

    Yorkshire 390 v Essex 171 & 113 f/o

    Here comes Kuldeep Yadav.

Mitch Killeen drives into the off side for no run.

He switches to the leg side and runs one to mid-wicket.

Kuldeep is round the wicket to Sam Cook - who defends from the crease.

Four close catchers in now. Bowled him! That's it!

Cook tries to defend and the ball clips the top of off stump.

Kuldeep finishes with a second innings 6-50!

Two wickets for Bess who also contributed a vital 80 not out.

Yorkshire's first innings win on this ground v Essex since 1992. They've been dominant for most of the game and have earned a huge chance of staying in the first division next summer.

A second innings 48 from Paul Walter and a first innings 50 from Lancashire loanee George Bell, but really not a lot for Essex to shout about.

They need a win or two to stay up in the last three championship rounds.

  11. Postpublished at 15:08 BST 10 September

    Northants 23-0 v Worcs - target 94

That's more like it from Luke Procter, who drives Ben Allison through the covers for four runs. Another 71 needed.

    Lancshire 114-5 v Glos - target 248

Rocky Flintoff tickles one fine from Will Williams and it runs away to the fine leg boundary for four.

It is a maiden first-class 50 for the son of ex-England captain Andrew Flintoff.

It's taken him 59 deliveries, and there have been the Flintoff mix of glorious strokes and a bit of heart-in-mouth stuff, but he is keeping his side in this game.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:06 BST 10 September

Mike lbw Ball 9 (Leicestershire 89-7 v Somerset, target 523)

Somerset have an eighth - and Jake Ball has his first of the innings!

He raps Ben Mike on the front pad and, upon viewing replays...yep, looks good.

Somerset well and truly into the tail now - three wickets away from returning to the top of the table.

  14. dropped catch

Sam Cook dropped on onepublished at 15:00 BST 10 September

    Yorkshire 390 v Essex 171 & 112-9 f/o

Mitch Killeen pulls Dom Bess round the corner for one.

Sam Cook faces... pushed sharply to Adam Lyth at forward short leg.

    Dropped. A tough chance mind.

  15. Bad light stops play at Chester-le-Streetpublished at 15:00 BST 10 September

    Durham 252 & 373-9 v Middlesex 203

Perhaps this is why Alex Lees has not called his players in yet.

Colin Ackermann adds a single to the total before the umpires convene and decide the light is not good enough to carry on.

Durham lead by 422 so surely Middlesex will be batting at some point today but we don't know when yet.

  16. Postpublished at 14:59 BST 10 September

    Yorkshire 390 v Essex 171 & 111-9 f/o

Sam Cook blocks Kuldeep Yadav watchfully and a drive into the off side is stopped at mid off.

The spotlight switches to Dom Bess and Mitch Killeen.

  17. Postpublished at 14:56 BST 10 September

    Yorkshire 390 v Essex 171 & 110-9 f/o

A single to Mitch Killen in the off side.

Dom Bess floats one up to Sam Cook who nearly lobs a catch to Will Luxton at leg slip but survives the over.

  18. Five-wicket haul for Manny Lumsdenpublished at 14:55 BST 10 September

    Notts 377 & 104 v Hants 304

Just 17 years old and making his first-class debut, Manny Lumsden marks it with figures of 5-36 as Hampshire bowl out the defending champions in just 31.5 overs.

The visitors will need 178 to win after tea, having turned the match on its head after Jake Lehmann's 133 not out kept the first-innings deficit to 73 earlier in the day.

Eddie Jack took the first three wickets either side of lunch before Lumsden took centre stage and he ended the Notts innings when Dillion Pennington skied a catch to Felix Organ.

Hampshire keeper Ben Brown finishes with 10 wickets in the match, while Joe Clarke's 37 was the only score of note in the Notts second innings.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:54 BST 10 September

    Raine c Hollman b Higgins 2 (Durham 252 & 372-9 v Middlesex 203)

A fourth wicket for Ryan Higgins towards the end of this Durham innings.

Ben Raine goes for a big shot off the Middlesex seamer, but doesn't time it and it is caught at point.

Will this be the moment for Durham to declare?

No, here comes last man Callum Parkinson.

  20. Postpublished at 14:54 BST 10 September

    Northants 12-0 v Worcs - target 94-0

    Ben Allison cannot believe it.

Luke Procter gets a big edge and the ball just eludes the diving third slip and runs away for four.
