Brett Randell's innings is short-lived - he goes having made just 2 when looking to go big at the end of this Derbyshire innings.

It is a rare wicket for Tawanda Muyeye, who has raced through this spell at a remarkable rate. Khaled Ahmed is the man who takes the catch in the deep.

    Derbyshire's innings continues...

  2. Tea at Grace Roadpublished at 15:45 BST 10 September

    Leicestershire 135-8 v Somerset, target 523

That is tea at Leicester, where Somerset need just two more wickets for victory inside three days.

Ben Cox is still there on 39, while Josh Hull joins him on 8, but they still need a little under 400 runs for victory.

  3. Postpublished at 15:44 BST 10 September

    Durham v Middlesex 5-0 - target 424

Brydon Carse has the ball at the other end to Ben Raine and the England bowler gives up a boundary to Luke Hollman with an offside punch through the covers.

WICKETpublished at 15:41 BST 10 September

    Aitchison c & b Foreman 29 (Derbys 328-7 & 300 v Kent 219)

Ben Aitchison now departs at the County Ground, having made a very useful 29.

He sweeps Bertie Foreman up in the air and the bowler takes the catch at the other end with minimal fuss.

The lead for Derbyshire is now more than 400, but any thoughts that the hosts might declare following that wicket were mistaken as Brett Randell strides to the crease.

  5. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 15:40 BST 10 September

    Durham v Middlesex 0-0 - target 424

And Ben Raine should have a wicket with the third ball of the innings!

Opener Luke Hollman goes for a back foot drive but smacks it straight to backward point where Graham Clark puts it down.

What a start that would have been!

It was only a brief rain delay at Trent Bridge and it did Nick Gubbins no favours.

He throws his head back and yells in disappointment after edging Dillon Pennington to the keeper.

"If he was a wolf, he'd be howling at the moon," says BBC commentator Mel Farrell.

Jake Lehmann comes out for his second innings of the day.

Dear Hampshire, Don't. Mess. This . Up. Sincerely, Somerset

    Bernard, York

  7. Tea at Worcesterpublished at 15:39 BST 10 September

    Worcestershire 200 & 182 v Northamptonshire 289 & 44-0

Plenty to hew on at New Road as Worcestershire followers contemplate the prospect of their fifth defeat of the season.

Brett D'Oliveira's 64 was the only significant score in another disappointing batting effort by the Pears, leaving Northants to score just 94 for victory.

Only 50 are now needed, with their openers still together - Ricardo Vasconcelos is 21 not out and Luke Procter has 16.

Victory will put them second in the table - at least until tomorrow, with Kent's game likely to go to a final day.

  8. Middlesex begin pursuit of 424published at 15:38 BST 10 September

    Durham v Middlesex 0-0 - target 424

Right, the real business of today can begin.

Ben Raine has the ball in hand. Play...!

  9. Tea at Hovepublished at 15:32 BST 10 September

    Sussex 393 v Surrey 190-5

Mahipal Lomror and Adam Thomas have calmed the choppy waters for Surrey here.

Lomror plays Jack Carson carefully into the off side - and that's teatime.

    110-2 in the session.

Encouragement for Sussex though - who have bowled with discipline throughout and ended a stubborn 4th wicket stand of 111 between Ryan Patel (55) and Ben Foakes (54).

Both were dismissed within seven overs of each other by Jack Carson and Ari Karvelas this afternoon.

    Hants 8-1 v Notts - target 178

There is rain in the air at Trent Bridge and the umpires lead the players back to the changing room.

Commentator Mel Farrell doesn't expect this to be a long break, though.

  11. 50 runs

50 for Brooke Guestpublished at 15:31 BST 10 September

    Derbys 313-6 & 300 v Kent 219

Brooke Guest becomes the latest Derbyshire batter to bring up 50, as he flicks Grant Stewart down to the fine leg boundary.

    A Patel c Thomas b Leach 18 (Leicestershire 118-8 v Somerset, target 523)

    Somerset have an eighth!

Very sharp catch by Josh Thomas at short leg, who is like a cat in grabbing the ball to his left.

Jack Leach takes the wicket of Ajaz Patel, who glances a defensive shot around the corner where Thomas waits to snare the grab.

  14. 6 runs

Lomror moves up a gearpublished at 15:28 BST 10 September

    Sussex 393 v Surrey 188-5

Too much width from James Coles and Mahipal Lomror hammers a rare boundary through cover.

    Rare in recent times anyway.

Coles goes fuller. Lomror is down the track to drive and that ball is over the sightscreen for six.

Great footwork and a beautifully straight bat.

Lomror gets a single into the off side and now he's on 16.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:26 BST 10 September

    Organ c Pennington b Stone 3 (Hants 8-1 v Notts - target 178)

    Another twist at Trent Bridge.

An ungainly second-grab catch by Dillion Pennington at mid-on brings an end to Felix Organ's brief innings as Olly Stone strikes an early blow for Notts.

"He made a meal of that," says BBC Radio Nottingham's Dave Bracegirdle.

Get Involvedpublished at 15:24 BST 10 September

Delighted for Manny Lumsden especially after being expensive yesterday, and very proud of Hampshire hanging on in there despite being adrift at the foot of the table

    Sam, Liss

Wild that Yorks are now up to fourth. If they'd got that win over the line at Surrey last week, they'd still have an outside chance of the title!!

  17. Postpublished at 15:24 BST 10 September

    Sussex 393 v Surrey 173-5

Mahipal Lomror is forward to off spinner Jack Carson to block into the on side.

Around the wicket and Lomror cuts the ball away for one.

Adam Thomas sees out the over.

  18. Postpublished at 15:23 BST 10 September

    Hants 7-0 v Notts - target 178

A situation at Trent Bridge that perhaps even the most optimistic Hampshire supporters never expected.

Felix Organ and Nick Gubbins open up for the visitors and if they pull this off, it could be pretty much curtains for Notts' title ambitions.

Gubbins helps himself to four runs off Dillon Pennington - a stroke greeted by near total silence in the ground.

  19. Tea at Old Traffordpublished at 15:23 BST 10 September

    Lancashire 120-6 v Glos - target 248

The sensible decision is made that with the covers on the Old Trafford pitch, this is going to be the tea interval.

When play resumes, Lancashire will need 128 runs, Gloucestershire require four wickets.

  20. rain stops play

Rocky Flintoff adds four to his tally with an excellent back foot punch off the returning JT Langridge.

And no more runs arrive before rain sweeps over the ground and the umpires direct the players off the field.
