300 up for Somersetpublished at 11:59 BST 10 September

    Somerset 310-5 & 363 v Leicestershire 157

Somerset have not hung around this morning, which was perhaps to be expected.

Even now, with a handsome lead of 516, they are still looking to score off every ball.

They have added 144 runs from 22 overs this morning.

    Cullen c Harrison b Sanderson 19 (Worcs 200 & 112-5 v Northants 289)

Danger signals now for Worcestershire as Henry Cullen drives at a ball from Ben Sanderson and is caught by Calvin Harrison at second slip.

The Pears are just 23 ahead with half of their wickets gone.

  3. Postpublished at 11:57 BST 10 September

    Sussex 393 v Surrey 46-2

A silly mid on is in play for Tom Haines, bowling to Ryan Patel - who carefully steers the ball defensively into the on side.

Just a couple of runs from that over as Surrey look to rebuild after losing both openers inside 19 overs this morning.

Jaydev Unadkat is back in the Sussex attack at the other end.

Our dog intruder really summed up the experience we've had so far. If you missed it - a wonderful husky came on to the field, ran around for a while before being collared by a steward after a vain attempt by Ben Mike.

Leicestershire have bowled some pretty unthreatening stuff, sticking with spinners for most of the morning and allowing Tom Abell, James Rew and most notably, Henry Nicholls to plunder runs.

They have been running the ball to the boundary, with the Foxes unable to get a grip on the game (see what I did there?).

You imagine Somerset will bat until maybe half an hour before lunch, and then get at the Foxes, who are on the ropes.

  5. Postpublished at 11:55 BST 10 September

    Yorkshire 390 v Essex 171 & 0-0 f/o

Great ball from Jack White, nipping away from Dean Elgar on an immaculate line and length.

    Maiden over.

  6. Postpublished at 11:53 BST 10 September

    Worcs 200 & 109-4 v Northants 289

Too full from James Sales and Henry Cullen punches it away past mid-off for four runs.

Worcestershire now21 ahead and Cullen has 18 from 14 balls. A positive start by him.

    Burns c Leaning b Hunt 24 - Sussex 393 v Surrey 44-2

Two slips in for Sean Hunt - but they can't do anything about this shot from Rory Burns who leans into a crunching drive through cover for four runs.

The Surrey captain is on 24.

24 and out! Squared up and edging low to second slip!

Great low catch by a tumbling Jack Leaning.

Ollie Pope - who replaced Josh Blake in this game, will bat next.

GLOUCESTERSHIRE ALL OUT FOR 169published at 11:52 BST 10 September

    Lancashire 134 v Glos 212 & 169 all out

    Mitch StanleyImage source, Shutterstock

Last pair JT Langridge and Matt Taylor looked set for a bit of fun as Langridge lofted Noman Ali for four and then Taylor edged Mitch Stanley between wicketkeeper and a wide first slip for another boundary.

But Stanley ends the innings with a sharp bouncing delivery that takes Taylor's edge, but it is well caught diving forward by Harry Singh at a wide third-slip area.

Taylor departs for a super 31 off 93 balls and he has helped add 83 for the last two wickets, both of which have fallen to Stanley who ends with 3-31.

Lancashire will need 248 in the final innings to win - it would be the highest score of the match.

  9. Onions umpiring in CLSpublished at 11:51 BST 10 September

    Durham 252 & 284-4 v Middlesex 203

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

We have just been treated to the sight of Graham Onions doing a spot of square leg umpiring, while Sue Redfern left the field for a quick break.

She's back now and he's received a standing ovation following his one over of officialdom.

Durham continue to build a big lead here, knowing victory this week will see them promoted.

Ben McKinney has 164 from 212 balls. Earlier this year he made 244 at Bristol and became the youngest double centurion at the club - at the age of 21 and 188 days.

I magine Durham will declare either around lunchtime, or early afternoon and back themselves to run through Middlesex today.

  10. Essex begin the follow onpublished at 11:48 BST 10 September

    Yorkshire 390 v Essex 171 & 0-0 f/o

George Hill continues his purple patch in form - and he'll bowl the first over of the Essex second innings to Paul Walter - with three slips.

Walter's opening partner Dean Elgar is at the non-striker's end.

Walter immediately plays and misses outside off in defence mode.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:47 BST 10 September

    Rew c Kelly b Gilchrist 21 (Somerset 292-5 & 363 v Leicestershire 157)

James Rew's fun is over. Of his 21 runs, 16 came in boundaries and sixes but, seeking another maximum, he is expertly held in the deep by Nick Kelly.

Craig Overton takes a single from his first ball at the crease, Henry Nicholls quickly adds a couple more to his own knock and, just like that, Somerset's lead passes 500.

  12. Postpublished at 11:47 BST 10 September

    Sussex 393 v Surrey 40-1

Tom Haines is full and straight to Ryan Patel, who defends into the off side.

    Maiden over.

    Lumsden b Stone 4 (Notts 377 v Hants 304)

Manny Lumsden scores his first runs in first-class cricket by pulling an attempted bouncer from Olly Stone for four.

Stone takes his revenge two balls late with a beauty which rips the off stump out of the turf.

Notts lead by 73 on first innings and Jake Lehmann finishes on 133 not out - a 247-ball innings featuring 14 fours.

  14. wicket

    Came c Compton b Foreman 51 (Derbys 146-4 & 300 v Kent 219)

Harry Came had just brought up a hard-earned half-century, having batted attentively this morning.

    Now, he has to go.

Kent turn to spin and Bertie Foreman gets his man. Came plays a forward defensive shot, but it pops up to short leg and Ben Compton takes the catch at the second attempt after popping it up in the air initially.

    Sibley c Simpson b Hunt 14 - Sussex 393 v Surrey 39-1

A beauty from Sewan Hunt that Dom Sibley had to play.

Good length, pitching on middle and nipping away to brush the outside edge.

Easy catch for keeper John Simpson.

Ryan Patel is Surrey's number three.

Some Yorkshire supporters seem quite upset with Jonny Bairstow's captaincy decisions etc. Not worth getting worked up about - win or draw you're safe from relegation, surely !

3 for 12 for George "Grange" Hill but nobody tell the ECB, he's Yorkshire's!

    Durham 252 & 280-4 v Middlesex 203

    Stop it, Ben McKinney!

Ryan Higgins is a bit full but McKinney produces a gorgeous on-drive that is still on the popping crease. Lovely.

The lead is 329 and McKinney now has 162.

    Notts 377 v Hants 300-9

    Jake LehmannImage source, Shutterstock

A rare show of aggression from Jake Lehmann, who flashes Olly Stone to backward point for four.

He whips the next on to backward square for a single as the Hampshire total raches 300 - but it's five overs too late for the second batting point.

    Lehmann is 133 not out.

    Somerset 281-4 & 363 v Leicestershire 157

Henry Nicholls is really having some fun this morning in Leicester.

He has just reverse swept Ajaz Patel, who has now gone for more than 100 from his 23 overs, for four having agriculturally powered another six - his third of the morning - over the leg-side boundary rope. Suddenly, Nicholls is on 80.

At the other end, James Rew has decided to join in - he has just nailed another maximum, sending Josh Hull into the stands.

WICKET AND ESSEX ALL OUT AND FOLLOW ONpublished at 11:37 BST 10 September

    Cook b Hill 0 - Yorkshire 390 v Essex 171

It has not been the best start for Sam Cook since arriving at Headingley to replace Jamie Porter. A first baller here.

Full with a hint of movement from George Hill and the ball has beaten the forward defensive stroke to rip out off stump.

The ground announcer confirms the follow on has been enforced.

Good resistance first up from George Bell (64*) and Zaman Akhter (29) - followed by the last three wickets tumbling in 16 balls.

Kuldeep finishes with 4-70. Hill has 3-12.
