WICKETpublished at 11:35 BST 10 September

    Killen b Kuldeep 1 - Yorkshire 390 v Essex 168-9

Mitch Killeen drives expansively and nicks the ball into his stumps.

The off peg is knocked out of the ground and here comes Sam Cook.

Big turn for the wrist spin of Kuldeep Yadav and a big miscue.

  2. Postpublished at 11:34 BST 10 September

    Derbys 138-3 & 300 v Kent 219

Hasan Mahmud has bowled brilliantly here. His figures this morning are 2-9 from six overs - and he might have had more wickets to his name.

Mahmud, in that most recent over, dislodged Martin Andersson's bails - but not before they had deflected off Chris Benjamin's keeping gloves - and then he forced the same batter to almost chop on.

Andersson, at the beginning of the next over, nails successive fours from the bowling of Khaled Ahmed.

  3. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:34 BST 10 September

    Dhariwal c Anderson b Stanley 66 (Lancashire 134 v Glos 212 & 156-9)

The extra pace of Mitch Stanley finally ends the rearguard of Kamran Dhariwal.

He is well caught by Jimmy Anderson at first slip as the pace from Stanley means it's more edge than guide behind the stumps.

An excellent maiden half-century on debut though, with this 146-ball knock rescuing an innings that was in peril and putting Gloucestershire in a fine position.

  4. Postpublished at 11:32 BST 10 September

    Sussex 393 v Surrey 38-0

Tom Haines is in the Sussex attack for Ari Karvelas and Rory Burns defends on his toes into the off side.

Burns faces Sean Hunt in the next over and survives a caught behind appeal. Didn't look like any contact there.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:32 BST 10 September

    Hose c Vasconcelos b Procter 18 (Worcs 200 & 88-4 v Northants 289)

Great ball from Luke Procter which nips away off the seam and Ricardo Vasconcelos takes a good low catch at first slip.

Adam Hose didn't do much wrong there but has to go. Henry Cullen replaces him at the crease.

  6. 50 runs

50 partnership for Worcestershirepublished at 11:30 BST 10 September

    Worcs 200 & 87-3 v Northants 289

The boundaries are starting to come at New Road and Brett D'Oliveira adds four to mid-wicket off Luke Procter as he and Adam Hose bring up a half-century stand. Worcestershire just two runs behind now.

  7. Rain forecast in the land of Prince Bishopspublished at 11:28 BST 10 September

    Durham 268-4 v Middlesex - lead by 317

The BBC weather app has showers forecast for much of the afternoon at Chester-le-Street.

With the lead 317 at the moment, could the weather be the thing to hold up Durham's march to Division One?

Despite that recent wicket, Leicestershire are very much having to take the woof with the smooth at Grace Road this morning.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:27 BST 10 September

    Akhter c Bairstow b Hill 29 - Yorkshire 390 v Essex 165-8

Excellent bowling from George Hill, generating life and movement to take the outside edge.

Zaman Akhter is comfortably caught behind at waist height by keeper-captain Jonny Bairstow.

Mitch Killeen joins George Bell in the middle with 76 still needed to avoid the follow on.

  10. Postpublished at 11:26 BST 10 September

    Sussex 393 v Surrey 36-0

Runs have not been flowing at Hove this morning where we've seen movement off the seam.

Grit, nous and patience on show from the Surrey openers.

A bit of width for Rory Burns here off Sean Hunt though - and Burns rocks back to cut through cover for four.

  11. Postpublished at 11:24 BST 10 September

    Notts 377 v Hants 293-9

A breather for Dillon Pennington, who has taken the two wickets to fall this morning, as Notts summon left-arm spinner Liam Patterson-White to bowl the next over at Trent Bridge.

LPW is right on the money from the off - just a single from it.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:23 BST 10 September

    Abell c R Patel b A Patel 58 (Somerset 256-4 & 363 v Leicestershire 157)

    Leicestershire break the fourth-wicket partnership!

Tom Abell had just coolly lifted Ajaz Patel over extra cover for four, but the very next ball he clips straight to silly mid-wicket, where Patel's namesake Rishi takes a very sharp catch.

Rishi was almost man-marking non-striker Henry Nicholls, how close he was stood to the strip, but he was certainly in the right place.

  13. Postpublished at 11:23 BST 10 September

    Yorkshire 390 v Essex 165-7

Full and straight from George Hill. Maiden over.

Back to Kuldeep, bowling to George Bell.

Bell tries to scoop a ball to fine leg but there's no run.

Runs this time - driving to mid off without quite timing it for one.

Zaman Akhter unleashes a reverse sweep - and that's four in front of square to the Western Terrace.

A pull round the corner for one and Akhter keeps the strike.

  14. Postpublished at 11:23 BST 10 September

    Lancashire 134 v Glos 212 & 151-8

Matt Taylor added a useful 18 in the first innings and he now has 25 off 78 balls in this innings.

For context, no Lancashire batter survived more than 47 balls in their first innings.

  15. Postpublished at 11:21 BST 10 September

    Worcs 200 & 79-3 v Northants 289

    Unlucky.

Luke Procter sends down a good one which finds the edge of Brett D'Oliveira's bat, but the ball flies wide of third slip and away for four.

The Worcestershire skipper is now 29 not out - and his side are just 10 away from clearing the first-innings deficit.

  16. Postpublished at 11:19 BST 10 September

    Sussex 393 v Surrey 29-0

Sean Hunt is back in the attack and nearly has Rory Burns LBW on 11.

Just outside the line of the off stump. Burns gets a single and keeps the strike.

Width from Ari Karvelas at the other end and Burns shoulders arms.

Four runs crashed through cover as Karvelas overpitches.

  17. 150 runs

150 up for Glospublished at 11:19 BST 10 September

    Lancashire 134 v Glos 212 & 150-8

Left-arm spinner Noman Ali is into the attack and sends down a delivery that beats everyone and runs away for four byes.

A single down the ground from Kamran Dhariwal then brings up the 150 for Gloucestershire.

From 86-8, they have added 64, including 32 this morning.

Barring one or two close shaves, Dhariwal and Matt Taylor have made batting look a bit easier on this third day.

  18. Postpublished at 11:19 BST 10 September

    Somerset 250-3 & 363 v Leicestershire 157

    Dog stops play!

A lovely looking husky has decided to invade the pitch and receive some love from Ben Mike at long-on. He or she has finally been collared by a steward.

  19. Postpublished at 11:17 BST 10 September

    Notts 377 v Hants 291-9

Hampshire settle for a single batting point as Dillon Pennington's 26th over of the innings costs just one run for Jake Lehmann, who is 126 not out.

By the way, Ben Martindale is out there again as a substitute fielder for Notts in Ben Salter's absence. No confirmation yet as to whether Slater will be fit to bat later on.

  20. 250 runs

250 up for Somersetpublished at 11:16 BST 10 September

    Somerset 250-3 & 363 v Leicestershire 157

Henry Nicholls is displaying all of his international class here against compatriot Ajaz Patel.

He firstly reverse sweeps through backward point for four and then, the very next ball, he takes a couple of steps outside of off stump to sweep through mid-wicket.

    Remorseless. He moves onto 66.
