Ijeoma Pauline Eze wey originally come from Imo State, southeast Nigeria tell BBC News Pidgin say evriwia for South Africa dey hot now for foreigners, especially Nigerians.

"Wetin make me come back na di way wey police, individuals dey harass us, in fact evritin don worse now. Most of our brodas I dey cry for dem becos dem dey always intimidate dem. Weda you do anytin or you no do anytin, dem go look for any allegation put for your head just to make sure say dem hurt you. So di way e be now, e too hot, you no go fit go for business now and come back in peace. If we dey go we dey fear, if we dey come back we dey fear," she tok.

As she don land for Nigeria she beliv say anyhow e be tins go work out so far as life dey.

"I know say God get package for us as e make us to dey among di living to come back alive becos most of our brodas, most of our pipo don die, even South Africa dem don cry say dia mortuary don full. So to come back alive I beliv say God get package for us and as Nigerians, we dey hustle, we no dey dull," she conclude.

Anoda returnee John Emeka Onu from Enugu East Local Govment Area for Enugu State, southeast Nigeria.

Im tell BBC News Pidgin say di first time im travel to South Africa na for 1996 and im dey visit Nigeria - so far im don visit Nigeria four times.

Onu bin come marry for Nigeria for 2014 and im wife later join am for South Africa for 2017, na three children dem get now.

Im say di place wey im dey stay for South Africa na for one suburb wey dem dey call di Hills.

"Wen South Africans dey tok say foreigners dey collect dia jobs and dia women, all dose tins na lie. Dem want foreigners to go weda you dey registered or you no dey registered.

"I be South African, I dey legally married for South Africa, I get South African ID, I get all my documents as a South African so I no be illegal immigrant for South Africa, but dem dey continue to tok say we must go we must go, na my reason to come back be dat and as Redeemed Church bring free flight to bring us back I gatz come back."

Onu add say im bin dey work wit developers for South Africa and e dey help developers register properties for di municipality so dat dem go fit sell di property.

Im say as im hear say Redeemed Church wey im dey hear about since bring flight to come carry dem, belle sweet am well-well.

Di day di first deadline of 30 June wey anti-migrants groups for South Africa set expire, thousands of pipo bin take part for di anti-immigration protests around di kontri, wey result in some incidents of violence and looting. Police say about 900 pipo bin chop arrest, mostly for immigration-related offences and looting.

Di latest returnees dey come as diplomatic tensions between Nigeria and South Africa continue to get k-leg sake of reports of violence against Nigerians and oda African migrants.

Nigeria Ministry of Foreign Affairs tok-tok pesin Oluwafemi Adeniyi say: "Nigeria remain deeply concerned about persistent Xenophobic and Afrophobic attacks against Nigerians and oda Africans for South Africa."

E say Nigeria go continue diplomatic efforts wit South African authorities "to decisively address di problem of Xenophobia and Afrophobia, and ensure di safety, security and dignity of Nigerians wey still dey di kontri."

South African authorities say dem dey investigate reported killings and don ask pipo not to attack foreign nationals. Dem also stress say only authorised officials go carry out checks on migrants immigration status.
