    Ciganda/Ramirez v Korda/Coughlin A/S (6)

Well played Carlota Ciganda. The veteran Spaniard plays one of the best shots of the day on the sixth and rolls in the putt for a two to take the hole and level up the match.

    1UP Hull/Woad v Noh/Yin (9)

Yealimi Noh and Charley Hull both find the ninth green with their partners out of position.

Charley goes aggresive with her putt but it's tracking right and hurries past the cup. Thankfully for the world number eight, Noh's effort drifts left.

Has that stemmed the tide a little?

  3. Boutier hanging toughpublished at 14:41 BST 11 September

    Koerstz Madsen/Boutier v Khang/Lee A/S (8)

A nice settler for Europe after recent shenanigans as Celine Boutier makes a nice putt to ensure a half and stop the bleeding a bit.

The Frenchwoman is doing a lot of heavy lifting in this match though with her partner struggling badly, she'll need Nanna Koerstz Madsen to show up soon.

  4. Rhodes helps Europe bounce backpublished at 14:40 BST 11 September

    Nadaud/Rhodes v Corpuz/Kim A/S (7)

It's like throwing darts on the seventh green. Allisen Corpuz zips a superb iron shot in to birdie range only to see her shot matched and bettered by European rookies Nastasia Nadaud and Mimi Rhodes.

But Auston Kim, now gets in close. Will that prevent an immediate European bounce back?

Rhodes drains her putt from six feet and Auston Kim, who has been looking good on the greens watches her effort squirm right after Corpuz misses. All square.

    Nadaud/Rhodes v Corpuz/Kim 1UP (6)

Auston Kim flips this match to red as she holes a huge birdie putt from downtown.

That European duo will feel that. They had not done a lot wrong there at all.

We have seen dominant world number ones in the American Ryder Cup teams struggle in the Ryder Cup team environment, Tiger Woods most notably, Scottie Scheffler as well. Nelly Korda is the exact opposite.

Nelly Korda misses but Lauren Coughlin doesn't and the American duo take the lead on the fifth hole of this bottom match, in what's becoming a big momentum shift in favour of the visitors.

  10. Yin wins another hole for USpublished at 14:25 BST 11 September

    1UP Hull/Woad v Noh/Yin (8)

The eighth is very much short enough to tempt all four to get their drivers out but only Angel Yin finds the front edge, with Yealimi Noh and Lottie Woad drifting left and Charley Hull splashing into the sand.

Woad and her playing partner both flip into between eight and six feet but when they both slide their birdie efforts past, the hole is gifted to the US, with Yin doing the honours after chipping to three feet and cutting the margin to just one.

  11. USA level it uppublished at 14:24 BST 11 September

    Koerstz Madsen/Boutier v Khang/Lee A/S (7)

Megan Khang has woken up now and in the space of two holes this American pair have gone from down and out to all square - and they've not really had to do too much to get there either.

Thanks to frequent visits to the water team Europe has left the door wide open and Khang has basically just had to keep her ball dry to win the hole.

  12. More water!published at 14:19 BST 11 September

    1UP Koerstz Madsen/Boutier v Khang/Lee (6)

Nanna Koerstz Madsen has found the water again! The Dane should've brought her snorkel with her today she's been in the drink so much.

She looks absolutely disgusted with herself after that huge error on the seventh.

This morning Charley Hull looked like she was struggling with her back. Playing foursomes, there are alternative shots, there is some time between golf shots, but this afternoon she can go and play her own ball.

I think anyone would like to play with Hull. Lottie Woad has stormed onto the scene as a young professional, and it looks like she has the full package. This is a good partnership.

  14. Yin reduces US arrearspublished at 14:12 BST 11 September

    2UP Hull/Woad v Noh/Yin (7)

Angel Yin gives a little shuffle as she reduces the American arrears on the seventh green. She enjoyed that one and it's a reward for several good holes now from the 27-year-old.

  15. USA Cut leadpublished at 14:10 BST 11 September

    1UP Koerstz Madsen/Boutier v Khang/Lee (6)

Megan Khang has two putts for the hole and takes them with ease to cut the gap to one after the hapless European effort on the sixth - these two will have nightmares about this hole tonight.

Still, they lead the American pair so need to stay menatlly strong and erase that hole quickly from the memory banks. Good golfers have short memories they say.

    Nadaud/Rhodes v Corpuz/Kim A/S (5)

These rookies are putting a fire into the belly of the home side.

  17. Postpublished at 14:09 BST 11 September

    Nadaud/Rhodes v Corpuz/Kim A/S (5)

Mimi Rhodes plays a stunning wedge into the fifth and that lifts any pressure off Nastasia Nadaud, who then pours in a putt from 25 feet or so.

The momentum feels like it is swinging towards Europe's rookies as Allisen Corpuz is unable to respond in kind.

Auston Kim does not falter though and saves the day for the US pairing, from eight feet.

  18. Postpublished at 14:04 BST 11 September

    3UP Hull/Woad v Noh/Yin (6)

Lottie Woad is playing out of the rough down the left but still finds the heart of the seventh green. She looks inspired this afternoon.

Although Angel Yin is up next and zings her shot inside the Englishwoman's ball. The American has played several decent approaches and does not look that rusty at all.

  19. Vamos!published at 14:00 BST 11 September

    Ciganda/Ramirez v Korda/Coughlin A/S (4)

There's a decent shout of vamos from this group as Julia Lopez Ramirez matches Nelly Korda to halve the fourth hole and keep the match all square.

It's not for a win, but Ramirez had to make her putt under all sorts of pressure when Korda dropped hers in, and the young Spaniard responded superbly.

  20. Two in the water!published at 13:57 BST 11 September

    2UP Koerstz Madsen/Boutier v Khang/Lee (5)

That's just awful from the Europeans on the sixth - as they both hit their balls into the water on the par three.

Both found the drink this morning and they've done it again. Nanna Koerstz Madsen goes first and gets wet, so Celine Boutier just simply has to hit the green, anywhere on the green.

But she comes up woefully short to all-but hand the hole to the USA. And what's worse Boutier did the same thing this morning in the foursomes, as when the USA hit the water first she needed to just find anywhere on the green but followed them in again.

    Criminal.
