  1. Advantage USApublished at 18:07 BST 11 September

The American pair have been far more consistent off the tee all match long, and they put themselves firmly in the driving seat as both Nelly Korda and Lauren Coughlin find the fairway.

They'll have two clear shots into the 18th green while Europe are blocked out to the right and will struggle to even have a shot at the dancefloor. USA are big favourites now to close out this match.

  2. Missed fairwaypublished at 18:05 BST 11 September

    Ciganda/Ramirez v Korda/Coughlin A/S (17)

Julia Lopez Ramirez finds the bunker down the right, so she can't get home in two more than likely. Carlota Ciganda then lines up her drive into the setting sun and swipes right across it, carving it off to the right and even further right than her partner.

Door wide open for the USA.

  3. Final holepublished at 18:03 BST 11 September

    Ciganda/Ramirez v Korda/Coughlin A/S (17)

Right then, here we go, the final hole in the final match of the day - the match is all square and the Solheim Cup is all square at 3½-3½.

It literally could not be closer. Vital hole coming up - two good swings to be the hero. Who are you backing?

  4. No good - we're going down 18...published at 18:00 BST 11 September

    Ciganda/Ramirez v Korda/Coughlin A/S (17)

Carlota Ciganda gives it a really good roll but not enough break and it slides by the side of the hole.

The USA give Europe their short putts but Ciganda makes Lauren Coughlin tap it in for the half! Niggly, I like that, that's exactly what Ian Poulter would've done.

    Down the last we go!

  5. Final birdie puttpublished at 17:57 BST 11 September

    Ciganda/Ramirez v Korda/Coughlin A/S (16)

Three players take their birdie putts, none of them can land, it's Carlota Ciganda to go last, from a good 15 feet away. She couldn't, could she?

  6. Last match outpublished at 17:53 BST 11 September

    Ciganda/Ramirez v Korda/Coughlin A/S (16)

A lot of the stands are empty now and there's probably more players, support staff and family inside the ropes following this match than there are fans watching it!

These can be vital matches though, darkness is creeping in, it's the last match out there, all square, this could be a big point swing either way if one team can pinch it.

And all your team-mates have turned up to watch. No pressure then.

  7. Putting contestpublished at 17:51 BST 11 September

    Ciganda/Ramirez v Korda/Coughlin A/S (16)

They've got the flag surrounded but not that closely - all four are on the dancefloor but only Nelly Korda is in what you'd call makeable distance.

So slight advantage USA but it's all down to the putters, time for someone to pull out something special with the flat stick.

  8. Heading down 17published at 17:47 BST 11 September

    Ciganda/Ramirez v Korda/Coughlin A/S (16)

Our four competitors all get away off the 17th tee. A pair of three woods for the Spaniards and both shots are muy bueno as they find the middle of the fairway - and they've got decent distance on them too with the adrenaline no doubt flowing now.

This is going to be a nervy finish folks.

  9. European rookies deliverpublished at 17:46 BST 11 September

    Rhodes/Nadaud beat Corpuz/Kim 2&1

    Leaderboard

Frenchwoman Nastasia Nadaud wastes no time with her birdie putt from 40+ feet and hits a great lag putt to gimme distance.

Mimi Rhodes has already played and went similarly close.

Allisen Corpuz from the front edge of the green with an outside chance to win the hole. Awful putt. No other words for it. A complete mis-read that pulls up several feet short and wide.

So it's down to US rookie Auston Kim to keep the match alive. From 15 feet, up the hill. No. Misses left. Europe's rookies rule!

  10. Ciganda strikes with an eagle!published at 17:40 BST 11 September

    Ciganda/Ramirez v Korda/Coughlin A/S (16)

Hello! Carlota Ciganda belts out her loudest 'Vamos' of the day as she rolls in her eagle put on 16 to get back to all square in what's turning out to be a titanic struggle in this final match.

  11. Europe leave door ajarpublished at 17:39 BST 11 September

    2UP Rhodes/Nadaud v Corpuz/Kim (16)

Mimi Rhodes playing with all the poise of a seasoned Solheim Cupper pings her drive down the middle of the 17th. And from 156 yards, doesn't like it. It's on the green but a long way from the hole

Allisen Corpuz is also on the short stuff, 173 yards to the hole. Her radar is also a little awry.

Auston Kim is next to play, from 137 yards. Pin-high, 15 feet right of the flag. Americans need to win this hole to extend the match.

Nastasia Nadaud with a chance to go closer from almost exactly the same spot as Kim. Leaked right. Game still very much on.

  12. Korda in the waterpublished at 17:33 BST 11 September

    Ciganda/Ramirez v Korda/Coughlin 1UP (15)

Lauren Coughlin goes for the green on 16 in two and her ball just about creeps over the water and ends up creeping up the green and in great shape.

Carlota Ciganda answers with a great shot of her own, closer than Coughlin and that forces an error from Nelly Korda who hit a stunner of a drive but then dumps her approach in the water.

  13. European rookies go dormiepublished at 17:31 BST 11 September

    2UP Rhodes/Nadaud v Corpuz/Kim (16)

The European rookies are the only ones with blue on the board at the moment. But they are struggling a bit on the par-five 16th.

Mimi Rhodes chunks her bunker shot and it ends up in a sprinkler head. She'll be playing four from off the green once she's had a free drop. It's a great putt that sets up a tap-in par.

Allisen Corpuz has chipped up to around four feet. She has this for the win. No! Wow. Big error by the American.

Europe are guaranteed at least a half point.

  14. Music spoils finale to top matchpublished at 17:30 BST 11 September

    Hull/Woad v Noh/Yin A/S

Lottie Woad is first to putt for her birdie three on the 18th. Across the green. Woad backs away. This is a little ridiculous, the DJ has chosen this moment to blast out some Europop.

Woad resets. The putt is on the way. On line. No! Shaves the left edge.

Yealimi Noh has a putt to win it. This would be a hard defeat to take for Europe's highest ranked pair.

The music is still booming out.

The ball is on its way... never looked in. Hole and match halved.

    Leaderboard
  15. Postpublished at 17:22 BST 11 September

    Hull/Woad v Noh/Yin (17)

Lottie Woad from 143 yards. It's pin-high but 20-feet left of the hole.

Door ajar for Yealimi Noh. A last look at the yardage book for the American, who has 122 yards to the hole. The sun is straight into her eyes so she might well be the last to know where this ends up.

It's good. It's 12 feet from the hole.

  16. Hole halvedpublished at 17:19 BST 11 September

    Ciganda/Ramirez v Korda/Coughlin 1UP (15)

Carlota Ciganda of Team Europe looks onImage source, Getty Images

Carlota Ciganda is about a roll away from landing an absolute bomb on the 15th holes right across the green, but it leaves the door open for Nelly Korda from only about 10 feet to win the hole.

This one just flashes by the left edge and Europe survive and move on just a hole down.

  17. Postpublished at 17:19 BST 11 September

    Hull/Woad v Noh/Yin (17)

Angel Yin is up against the face of a bunker and will just be advancing this as far down the fairway as she can.

Charley Hull is indeed in the water and seemingly out of the hole.

This looks like a straight shootout between Lottie Woad and Yealimi Noh.

  18. Drama on the 16thpublished at 17:16 BST 11 September

    2UP Rhodes/Nadaud v Corpuz/Kim (15)

Auston Kim and Nastasia Nadaud both find water with their second shots.

Allisen Corpuz leaks her second to the right of the green and has a small hummock to negotiate between her and the flag.

Mimi Rhodes looks to have hit best shot but her ball skips through the green and into a bunker.

  19. All on the last holepublished at 17:14 BST 11 September

    Hull/Woad v Noh/Yin A/S (17)

Lottie Woad of Team Europe reactsImage source, Getty Images

English duo Charley Hull and Lottie Woad have twice held a three-hole lead in this contest. I certainly didn't envisage it reaching the 18th hole but here we are after a terrific fightback on the back nine.

Water to the right off the tee as this quartet drive off into the setting sun.

Yealimi Noh finds the fairway, Angel Yin is either in a bunker or the heathland.

Lottie Woad down the middle. Charley Hull's ball wanders down the left and possibly into a penalty area.

  20. Good response from Ramirezpublished at 17:07 BST 11 September

    Ciganda/Ramirez v Korda/Coughlin 1UP (14)

Europe stop the rot as Julia Lopez Ramirez responds nicely to missing a short one on the last by rolling in a six footer to halve the hole and stay just one behind.

Carlota Ciganda loves that one and she tries to get the crowd going, while Anna Nordqvist has turned up to try and lift the Spanish duo's spirits and get back into this contest.
