  1. Maguire at it againpublished at 07:38 BST 11 September

    2UP Henseleit/Maguire v Lee/Duncan (2)

Leona Maguire is rock solid from about seven feet away to drain her putt and move Europe two ahead in this third match.

Maguire and Esther Henseleit are playing beautifully having won the opening two holes.

  2. Europe ahead in match twopublished at 07:35 BST 11 September

    Koerstz Madsen/Boutier 1UP v Coughlin/Lee (3)

Celine Boutier is eyeing up a birdie putt from just off the left of the third green and the Frenchwoman nervelessly rolls in a 25-footer.

That means Alison Lee needs to match that from around 15 feet. Great camera angle and her ball is right on line but she's not hit it. Criminal to leave a birdie putt short.

    Hole to Europe!

    Hull/Woad v Corpuz/Korda A/S (4)

Charley Hull hits a nice tee shot on the par-three fourth hole to give Lottie Woad the chance to win it. It's a tough putt from about 20 feet with plenty of break left to right, and Woad just doesn't quite give it enough juice as it runs out of steam

We remain all square in this one.

  4. Postpublished at 07:29 BST 11 September

    Stark/Grant v Zhang/Kupcho A/S (1)

A great start for both teams in the final match, with the hole indeed halved in birdies.

  5. Postpublished at 07:24 BST 11 September

    Stark/Grant v Kupcho/Zhang (07:16)

Linn Grant firing into the first green with a wedge from around 90 yards and her ball dances around the hole to leave her playing partner a four footer for birdie.

Over to Jennifer Kupcho... and she is equal to the challenge, floating her wedge in even closer.

  6. Tree troublepublished at 07:24 BST 11 September

    Hull/Woad v Corpuz/Korda A/S (3)

Charley Hull is stuck behind a tree on the third but plays a nice escape before Lottie Woad hits a fine chip to give her partner the chance to halve the hole as Nelly Korda stuck one in tight.

It's only about four feet but a bit slippery so a bit of a nervy one, but Hull is up to the task to keep the match level.

  7. Postpublished at 07:23 BST 11 September

    Koerstz Madsen/Boutier v Coughlin/Lee A/S (2)

Given all the fun and games on the first tee we've not seen anything of the second match going down the par-five second hole.

Both pairs on the green in three but both fail to land lengthy birdie putts. Hole halved in fives

  8. Blue on the boardpublished at 07:21 BST 11 September

    1UP Henseleit/Maguire v Lee/Duncan (1)

Andrea Lee had a good go at holing a monster putt but it's not to be, so Leona Maguire has the simple task of tapping in a short one to put Europe ahead in match three.

    Great start.

  9. Final match heads outpublished at 07:19 BST 11 September

    Stark & Grant v Kupcho & Zhang (07:16)

Maja Stark and Linn Grant come bouncing on to the first tee like Zebedee in his prime as Abba's Dancing Queen blares out.

And it's Rose Zhang to hit the opening shot in this final match of the morning. We learn she went sky diving last week. I wonder what gave her more nerves?

Oof.. certainly nerves on the first for Zhang as her ball sets off way right. But this fairway is almost as generous as the Old Course at St Andrews! Her ball is in the fairway.

Maja Stark hitting for Europe - and she wins the straightest drive competition.

  10. Match fourpublished at 07:15 BST 11 September

    Stark & Grant v Kupcho & Zhang (07:16)

Swedish sensations Maja Stark and Linn Grant anchor the European challenge this morning.

Stark won the 2025 US Open and played both foursomes matches in 2023 at Finca Cortesin in Spain with her good friend Grant, winning one and losing one.

Jennifer Kupcho is one of three major winners in the US team, while Rose Zhang is a former world number one amateur who is making her third appearance.

  12. Advantage Europepublished at 07:13 BST 11 September

    Henseleit/Maguire v Lee/Duncan

Leona Maguire finds a fairway at last off the first tee for Europe before Esther Henseleit finds a stunner of an approach to knock it almost stone dead.

Lindy Duncan feels the pressure as she tries to respond but catches her wedge shot pretty thin and it skips well beyond the flag. Andrea Lee may have to drain that from long range to avoid losing the opener.

  13. USA levelpublished at 07:10 BST 11 September

    Hull/Woad A/S Corpuz/Korda (2)

It's all square in the top match as Nelly Korda wins a short game battle with Charley Hull to knock the USA's third shot much closer on the par five second.

Lottie Woad this time can't find the hole with her putt from range so Allisen Corpuz can roll in a tiddler to level the match.

    Koerstz Madsen/Boutier v Coughlin/Lee A/S (1)

Alison Lee, with a long-handled putter, leaves her birdie putt on the green which gives Nanna Koerstz Madsen the chance to escape with a half.

And she does just that, rolling in from three feet.

  15. Postpublished at 07:06 BST 11 September

    Koerstz Madsen/Boutier v Coughlin/Lee (06:52)

And Celine Boutier does exactly that! She atones for her errant drive by knocking a wedge into about three feet.

You fancy Alison Lee will have to knock her birdie putt in the hole to win this hole now.

  16. Match threepublished at 07:06 BST 11 September

    Esther Henseleit/Leona Maguire v Andrea Lee/Lindy Duncan

Esther Henseleit came so close to winning the AIG Women's Open at Royal Lytham & St Annes this year, so she's in great form heading into the Solheim Cup.

Ireland's Leona Maguie is about as tough a matchplay golfer as you could want and holds an 8-3-1 record in the Solheim Cup.

Andrea Lee is taking part in her third Solheim Cup so is an experienced pair of hands to partner rookie Lindy Duncan for the USA.

  17. Postpublished at 07:02 BST 11 September

    Koerstz Madsen/Boutier v Coughlin/Lee (06:52)

Lauren Coughlin has just 93 yards to the flag after Alison Lee's perfect drive.

And her shot is almost a carbon copy of Nelly Korda's approach to the first, tracking the flag but coming to a stop a good 15-18 feet beyond the cup.

Can Celine Boutier knock Europe's third in close to put pressure on the putt?

  18. Postpublished at 07:00 BST 11 September

    Koerstz Madsen/Boutier v Coughlin/Lee (06:52)

Nanna Koerstz Madsen is hunkered under a tree, her ball barely visible in the rough, so this is going to be a bunt up the fairway. The backswing is hampered too.

She's now concerned that she's knocked a twig off the tree while taking a practice backswing. Rules official called... he says all is fine so NKM punches the ball back into the short stuff.

    1UP Hull/Woad v Corpuz/Korda (1)

    Solheim Cup

Charley Hull and Nelly Korda are the two big stars of their teams so it's great to see them going head-to-head this morning, we'd love to see them clash in the singles on Sunday again, just as they did last time when the Englishwoman ran out a rampant 6&4 winner.

Since then, though, Korda got the better of Hull in the final round of this year’s US Women’s Open when battling it out down the stretch. The American is now a four-time major champion.

Hull still hasn’t won her first major, but if she won another singles battle with the world number one then maybe that can add that final piece in the puzzle to get her over the line. She's surely too good not to win one?

    Koerstz Madsen/Boutier v Coughlin/Lee (06:52)

Warm hugs between the players on the first tee as the Euro disco pop continues to boom out of the speakers on the first hole.

Alison Lee gets the honour and pings her drive down the middle of the fairway.

Celine Boutier, wearing a European blue and yellow snood on what looks like a chilly start, is away for Europe and that's a nervy tug down the left. It's worse than Lottie Woad's though and her ball disappears into the deep stuff.

    Advantage US.
