  2. Euro stars in troublepublished at 08:26 BST 11 September

    Hull/Woad v Corpuz/Korda 3UP (8)

    Solheim CupImage source, Getty Images

Charley Hull and Lottie Woad are both in the top 10 in the world and looked Europe's star pairing, but foursomes is a tough format and they find themselves three down after eight.

    Work to do from here.

  3. US miss chancepublished at 08:26 BST 11 September

    2UP Grant/Stark v Zhang/Kupcho (5)

A chink of light for the Americans after Maja Stark misses a birdie putt from 12 feet on the fifth.

That leaves Jennifer Kupcho with a good look from 10 feet to halve the deficit. But she pushes the putt right. Big chance missed.

  4. USA hat-trick!published at 08:25 BST 11 September

    Hull/Woad v Corpuz/Korda 3UP (8)

Despite Lottie Woad's short game magic Europe still lose the hole as Charley Hull misses the birdie putt to cap a pretty disappointing hole for her.

Nelly Korda just taps in a tiddler for birdie and a third straight hole for the USA team as they go three up and take total control of this top match.

  5. Splash!published at 08:23 BST 11 September

    1UP Henseleit/Maguire v Lee/Duncan (5)

Lindy Duncan comes up short on the par-three sixth to open the door for Europe. Esther Henseleit stays dry but goes over the back of the green down the run-off area, still a great chance for Europe to win the hole though as the USA head to the drop zone.

  6. Postpublished at 08:22 BST 11 September

    Koerstz Madsen/Boutier v Coughlin/Lee A/S (7)

After the horror shot on six, Nanna Koerstz Madsen has some making up to do on the par-four seventh.

Celine Boutier has put her in prime spot off the tee and from 120 yards, she fires their second shot into around eight feet.

Lauren Coughlin was not as accurate and has given her playing partner Alison Lee a 25-footer for birdie. It's a great try but stays above ground.

Boutier for the win... no! Halved in pars

  7. Magic!published at 08:19 BST 11 September

    Hull/Woad v Corpuz/Korda 2UP (7)

Charley Hull hits a bad pull off the eight tee when trying to drive the green, leaving Lottie Woad in the worst place possible - jammed in the heather short sided with a bunker to carry before the flag.

Anyone who has played on a heathland course with heather knows how tough it is to play out of, but Woad plays a stunner and lands the ball perfectly just a yard or so over the bunker.

Allisen Corpuz also plays a magic shot out of the bunker from the opposite side to pile the pressure back on Hull though...

  8. USA double leadpublished at 08:11 BST 11 September

    Hull/Woad v Corpuz/Korda 2UP (7)

    One of those matchplay moments...

Charley Hull almost matched Nelly Korda's approach shot, but crucially she was just a touch further way while almost on the same line - so when Lottie Woad hit her putt Allisen Corpuz got a great read - and you can't give players as good as her a read like that.

Naturally she drains it to double the USA lead in the top match.

  9. Europe miss chance in bottom matchpublished at 08:09 BST 11 September

    Stark/Grant 2UP v Zhang/Kupcho (4)

Maja Stark has another look at birdie as the Swedes continue to fire in the anchor match. But she doesn't give her 20-footer enough juice. That would have been to win the hole.

Jennifer Kupcho's three-footer for par needs knocking in for a half. Which she does.

  10. US back level in match twopublished at 08:06 BST 11 September

    Koerstz Madsen/Boutier v Coughlin/Lee A/S (6)

Celine Boutier from the drop zone on the sixth, knocks Europe's third shot in to around six feet.

US have two putts for the hole. Alison Lee is out with the broom and sweeps the birdie try right at the hole and it lips out to six inches. That's a concession and a hole-winner. Match tied.

  11. Europe swimmingpublished at 08:03 BST 11 September

    Koerstz Madsen/Boutier 1UP v Coughlin/Lee (5)

Oof. There's no other way to say this other than that's a dreadful tee shot by Nanna Koerstz Madsen on the short par-three sixth.

It's all over water and NKM chunks her shot straight into the drink.

Lauren Coughlin taking no chances off the tee. She just finds the front of the green. Odds are this match is going back all square in a few minutes.

  12. USA pull one backpublished at 08:02 BST 11 September

    1UP Henseleit/Maguire v Lee/Duncan (4)

More in-roads being made by the USA as Andrea Lee and Lindy Duncan have won the fourth hole to pull one back on Leona Maguire and Esther Henseleit and reduce the European lead to just a hole.

  13. Red on the board!published at 08:01 BST 11 September

    Hull/Woad v Corpuz/Korda 1UP (6)

    Solheim CupImage source, Getty Images

It's been something of a blue wave early this morning but the Americans get a sliver of red on the scoreboard in the top match after Charley Hull misses the green with her tee shot on the par-three sixth before Lottie Woad is loose with her short game recovery shot.

Nelly Korda and Allisen Corpuz make a par which is enough to take the hole and nudge ahead in the lead-off match.

  14. Swedes edge further aheadpublished at 07:59 BST 11 September

    Stark/Grant 2UP v Zhang/Kupcho (3)

Linn Grant applies a bit of pressure with her second shot into the third hole from the rough knocking her ball in to around eight feet.

From the fairway Jennifer Kupcho is a little left and missed the green. We saw Celine Boutier hole one from a similar place a few minutes ago. But Rose Zhang can't replicate that.

Over to Maja Stark for the win... a fist pump speaks volumes. Three holes, three birdies for the Swedes. Solid.

  15. Postpublished at 07:58 BST 11 September

    Koerstz Madsen/Boutier 1UP v Coughlin/Lee (5)

Lauren Coughlin misses a birdie putt on the fifth, leaving the door slightly ajar for Europe but Nanna Koerstz Madsen can't kick it down. Her 25-footer for birdie pulls up short. Hole halved.

  16. No gimmespublished at 07:49 BST 11 September

    2UP Henseleit/Maguire v Lee/Duncan (3)

One player not conceding putts right now is Leona Maguire, who sees Andrea Lee tickle her effort just a couple of feet beyond the hole, but she makes Lindy Duncan pop that one in coming back.

As one of the best putters on the team Duncan makes no mistake, but that just shows that Maguire's not out here to make friends today.

    She means business...

  17. Burned the edgepublished at 07:46 BST 11 September

    Hull/Woad v Corpuz/Korda A/S (5)

Charley Hull has the chance to win the hole on the fifth from about 15 feet but her attempt just burns the right edge of the hole.

The ball races on a couple of feet but that's conceded by the Americans and it's another half.

  18. Europe lead in three matchespublished at 07:44 BST 11 September

    Stark/Grant 1UP v Zhang/Kupcho (2)

On the long second we find Jennifer Kupcho in a bunker short of the green. It's the American pairing's third shot and she's pretty unhappy with her effort.

It was one of those tricky 50 yarders from the sand and her ball has barely crept on to the putting surface.

Rose Zhang is not knocking in a birdie putt from Amsterdam and that leaves Maja Stark a chance to win the hole from four feet. Boom. Europe ahead.

  20. Postpublished at 07:42 BST 11 September

    Koerstz Madsen/Boutier 1UP v Coughlin/Lee (4)

Alison Lee is chipping from greenside rough on the par-three fourth and she zips her ball a good five feet past the hole.

Will Celine Boutier take advantage from about 15 feet? No. A timid putt pulls up short.

Lauren Coughlin needs to knock her par putt in for a half. She does.
