  1. Another ball swimmingpublished at 10:31 BST 11 September

    2UP Stark/Grant v Zhang/Kupcho (14)

Wow. Just wow. There is a lot of water at Bernardus but I'm not sure I expected to see so many balls disappear!

Rose Zhang is the latest to err off the 15th tee. Her ball drifting left as she chases the flag.

Maja Stark takes the sensible option, and plays 20 feet right of the hole.

  2. Big break for Europepublished at 10:27 BST 11 September

    Koerstz Madsen/Boutier v Coughlin/Lee 2UP (15)

Lots of discussions down the right of the 16th. Nanna's tee shot is dry but the ball is in a penalty area.

A rules official is called in. Celine Boutier's line of sight is being impeded by a bridge that has been built to ferry people across the water, so she is entitled to a free drop on the fairway side of the water.

But she still has to drop in the penalty area. However, as she drops the ball, it heads to the water, which means she gets to place the ball. A big break.

Boutier now has a flatter stance and a ball that's much easier to hit. All about knowing the rules.

  3. 'Nice to see some red on the leaderboard'published at 10:25 BST 11 September

    Hull/Woad v Corpuz/Korda 4&3 (F)

USA's Nelly Korda, speaking to Sky Sports: "She [Corpuz] is just so solid. I enjoy playing with her so much.

"She is just such a solid player, and it is really good to rely on her. Still a lot of work to do, but going to go out and support the rest of the girls.

"It is nice to see some red on the leaderboard."

No point for Charley Hull or Lottie Woad this morning and Hull in particular looked a bit off - so who do you think will now be Anna Nordqvist's top scorer this week?

  5. Europe in command in bottom matchpublished at 10:20 BST 11 September

    2UP Stark/Grant v Zhang/Kupcho (14)

This bottom match, that was all Europe on the front nine, is a little more nervy than anyone wearing blue would have wanted. They missed a putt to go 5UP after eight remember.

Maja Stark is now lining up a six-footer for a half on the 14th. The cheers tell you everything. Huge.

  6. Postpublished at 10:17 BST 11 September

    Koerstz Madsen/Boutier v Coughlin/Lee 2UP (15)

We're all peering into the gloom as the rain teems down at Bernardus Golf club.

Nanna Koerstz Madsen's drive is heading right and there's water over there. We wait to see.

The US drive is tugged left. The ball misses a bunker but is in light rough.

  7. Europe double leadpublished at 10:16 BST 11 September

    2UP Henseleit/Maguire v Lee/Duncan (14)

The USA have a bit of a nightmare on the 14th and leave Leona Maguire having two putts to win the hole. They should probably just concede but they don't and of course Ireland's finest just rolls it in at the first attempt.

That not only restores Europe's two-hole lead but also allows Maguire to pump up the crowd and build her confidence back up - not that she's looked short of any all day.

  8. Europe claw hole backpublished at 10:14 BST 11 September

    Koerstz Madsen/Boutier v Coughlin/Lee 2UP (15)

And they've done it with a bogey four on the 15th.

Alison Lee was first to putt but her effort up the hill was lacking in pace.

That left Celine Boutier with a 10-footer to win the hole. She drained it to huge cheers. This match is far from over.

Awful match play from most of the Europeans. Simply not keeping their ball in play most of the time and handing momentum to the US every hole. And they don't have the pace of the greens at all.

    Koerstz Madsen/Boutier v Coughlin/Lee 3UP (14)

Everyone heads to the drop zone. It's 99 yards from the yellow circle to the hole.

Lauren Coughlin is first up and fires at the flag, but the ball zips back a few feet and ends up 25 feet short.

Here's Nanna Koertsz Madsen from the same circle. She's pin high and crucially has left Celine Boutier with a flat putt, while Alison Lee will have a slope to negotiate.

  11. Splish, splash!published at 10:06 BST 11 September

    Koerstz Madsen/Boutier v Coughlin/Lee 3UP (14)

...drama on the short par-three 15th.

Alison Lee is up first and her ball is wet. It hits dry land but hops back into the pond that separates the tee from the green.

Big chance for Celine Boutier. But no! Her ball is short. It also hits land but bounces back to a watery grave. When you are three down with four to play that's a huge error.

  12. Postpublished at 10:03 BST 11 September

    2UP Stark/Grant v Zhang/Kupcho (13)

It's hole halved on the 13th. We don't see much of it but we cut to the 15th, which could be going the way of the Europeans...

  13. Europe scrambling wellpublished at 10:01 BST 11 September

    Koerstz Madsen/Boutier v Coughlin/Lee 3UP (14)

The Europeans are scrapping hard in match two. Nanna Koerstz Madsen plays a super pitch shot stone dead from the heather on the 14th.

But Lauren Coughlin responds with a chip to two feet that allows Alison Lee to halve the hole. Three up, four to play for the US duo.

  14. Stunner from Leepublished at 10:00 BST 11 September

    1UP Henseleit/Maguire v Lee/Duncan (13)

It was going to take something special for the USA to get back into this match and Andrea Lee produced just that by landing a huge putt on the 13th.

Even she looked a bit shocked when the ball rattled into the back of the cup and dropped into the hole, but you need that bit of luck sometimes and foursomes matches can often turn on those moments.

Could that be one of them?

  15. First blood USA!published at 09:58 BST 11 September

    Hull/Woad v Corpuz/Korda 4&3 (F)

Nelly Korda of Team United States looks onImage source, Getty Images

Allisen Corpuz and Nelly Korda take down Europe's top pairing of Charley Hull and Lottie Woad to get the first point on the board for the USA.

And it wasn't a particularly close contest either with the Americans solid and largely mistake free while Europe looked out of sorts with some sloppy play all around.

It would have ended sooner but for some great pressure putts made by Woad on the back nine.

Interesting body language in the top game. Lottie looks to be keeping her distance from Charley.

  17. Postpublished at 09:49 BST 11 September

    2UP Stark/Grant v Zhang/Kupcho (12)

Rose Zhang pulls her approach to the 12th green, the ball tumbling off down a slope, while Maja Stark's effort ends up back edge, 25 feet away.

Jen Kupcho's chip is short by four feet. Door slightly ajar.

Linn Grant's birdie try is also shy of pace though.

    Hole halved.

  18. Solheim Cup points spreadpublished at 09:48 BST 11 September

    Solheim Cup

We've had 500 individual matches played in Solheim Cup history ahead of the 2026 event, which is a nice round number to take a look at where these teams historically win their points.

And as you'd probably expect, the USA have been much better in the singles, winning 123 of their 259 points from Sunday's individual matches - although they've not been so good of late.

The USA haven't won the Sunday singles sessions since 2019, but they have been getting better in team play so we are seeing things level out a touch. Still, though, Europe just about have the edge in the fourballs and foursomes.

After 19 Solheim Cups though it's fair to say there's not that much between the two sides these days.

  19. Europe get one back!published at 09:47 BST 11 September

    Hull/Woad v Corpuz/Korda 4UP (14)

Charley Hull of Team Europe and Lottie WoadImage source, Getty Images

    So you're telling me there's a chance?

A supreme approach from Lottie Woad sets up Charley Hull for the birdie and the win to delay the USA celebrations, or start an epic comeback depending on whether you're a glass half full type of person.

Europe have to win all four remaining holes to steal half a point. No chance surely but at the very least it gives the crowd a lift and even gives Woad and Hull some positive vibes after a difficult morning.

The longer it goes the better for them for the rest of the Solheim Cup.

  20. US closing in on match two winpublished at 09:45 BST 11 September

    Koerstz Madsen/Boutier v Coughlin/Lee 3UP (13)

Alison Lee is aggressive with a putt on the 13th from about 14 feet. So aggressive that it races four feet past. No concession there.

But Lauren Coughlin makes the return and that's enough to win the hole and take complete control of match two.
