    When you're not super comfortable with your car you end up pushing more than you should. I don't think many drivers would have had that much confidence going into that final corner. It looks like it was an uncharacteristic Max Verstappen error.

    Possible race stategy is a one-stop or a two-stop. All the drivers on the mediums looking for that switchover from the mediums to the hards. Everyone that is starting on the softs are looking for that two-stop with two sets of mediums strapped to the car.

    F1 teams are exceptionally good at dealing with chaos when it happens. I think there'll be a lot of people up and down the grid that see this as a real opportunity now.

    The race will resume at 15:33 local time. That's 14:33 BST, folks.

  7. So three drivers have been assessed for overtakes in the aftermath of Max Verstappen's crash - Arvid Lindblad, Esteban Ocon and Franco Colapinto.

    There's no further action on Ocon as he overtook Alex Albon after the yellow sector.

    Meanwhile Lindblad and Colapinto overtook after the crash, but during double waved yellows.

    So watch this space on those two.

    Watching Nico Hullkenberg's on board, that looked like a scene out of the F1 movie. You come through the smoke and there's a car in pieces. I don't know how Hulkenberg made it through that.

    Having just seen a replay of Max Verstappen's crash again, here's what's even more scary.

    Gabriel Bortoleto comes into the corner and spins at virtually exactly the same point at Max.

    But what happens next is bonkers. Bortoleto's Audi team-mate Nico Hulkenberg can't slow down as he spins, and he narrowly goes through a cloud of tyre smoke without colliding into him.

    Very dramatic. Verstappen got too close to the inside of the track which is more slippy and that's where he lost control.

    Before the start of the race, one would have voted for Verstappen and Hamilton to do better in the wet race. Hamilton dropped a place and Max is out. That's how unpredictable the race is.

    Now Lando has Antonelli behind him, Russell will get the cleaner start if they go for the standing start again which I suspect they will.

    So to go back to the start of the race, it was a pretty unfortunate start for Lewis Hamilton who was beaten to the punch into turn one by Charles Leclerc and then Oscar Piastri takes advantage and goes in though his right.

    Likewise, just behind him, Max Verstappen had briefly drifted onto the grass at the left of the straight before he kept control of his car headed into the first corner.

    That explains Liam Lawson's move shortly after, then.
