    It was the Audi of Gabriel Bortoleto who was caught out in that as well. Huge tank slapper. Scary moment for Max Verstappen.

    Bortoleto wasn't collected by Verstappen. He just went off on his own, possibly distracted by Verstappen.

    Well the conditions are pretty wet out there still.

    Replays show that it would appear Max Verstappen just loses the rear of his Red Bull headed into the final corner at turn 13 and he crashes into the barrier to his left and spins into the starting straight.

    His Red Bull looks pretty gnarly in the aftermath of his crash but fortunately he manages to get out the car, which is good news.

    Meanwhile, Gabriel Bortoleto looks like he spun in the process of catching up to the incident.

    The first lap or two are going to be treacherous with everyone on dry tyres. Strategy is still wide open at this point, I think more people will be swinging towards the one stop strategy

    The safety car is in and we're granted a standing start for the final Dutch Grand Prix before the event drops off the Formula 1 calendar.

    It's still quite wet out there yet softs are the prevailing tyre choice.

    It's a very poor start from George Russell who loses ground and position to Kimi Antonelli into turn one.

    Also, the bottle on Liam Lawson, who attempts to get past Max Verstappen but the Dutchman holds him off.

    Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc edges past Lewis Hamilton and the McLaren of Oscar Piastri.

    So, we begin, albeit with the safety car.

    Seeing as the conditions out there have enforced this sort of start, let's talk tyres!

    As Jennie Gow's just said, the top four have all opted for the medium tyre. Whereas the majority - including the two Ferraris in fifth and sixth and Max Verstappen behind - are going for softs.

    It's a special place. The circuit's in a great location, as a fan it's a great race to go to. This has transformed a generation of fans with Max's success, these fans have come along with him and this is an opportunity for all of them gather in one place and they put on an absolute party, come rain or shine.

    Such a shame we are losing the Dutch grand Prix. Great circuit, variable weather conditions and possibly the best crowd in the F1 calendar (apart from Silverstone, of course!)

    I'm usually pretty sad to lose a European race, but I'm not that fussed about Zandvoort. The sand dune setting is kind of cool, but my main memory is of fans choking the circuit in a fog of orange smoke and I won't miss that at all.

    I've never been a massive fan of Zandvoort for F1 cars, I don't think it makes for great racing however the atmosphere and fans are amazing!
