  5. 'Preston switched off'published at 16:35 BST 22 August

    Preston 0-2 Wolves

    Alan Kelly
Former Preston keeper on BBC Radio Lancashire

Wolves just walked through the Preston back line.

A lovely one-two from Armstrong and Jimenez which was weighted perfectly and tucked away.

    Preston switched off defensively.

  6. Postpublished at 16:35 BST 22 August

    Southampton 1-1 Stoke

Another Southampton chance comes and goes as Viktor Johansson in the Potters goal makes a good stop from Cyle Larin's effort.

  7. goal

GOAL: Preston 0-2 Wolvespublished at 16:33 BST 22 August

    Adam Armstrong (71 mins)

More Premier League quality does the trick.

Raul Jimenez and Adam Armstrong link up really well and the substitute provides the finish.

Wolves are looking good for their first away win since April 2025 when they won at Manchester United!

  8. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:32 BST 22 August

    Wrexham 1-1 Watford

George Thomason comes charging forward to get on the end of Oliver Rathbone's cross but his shot is a touch too high and clips the top of the crossbar.

The second time today Wrexham have struck the white stuff - they did it three times at Cardiff on Monday.

  9. goal

    GAME ON.

It's a debut goal for Joel Piroe, and it's set up a grandstand finish at the London Stadium.

The Leeds loanee fires into the roof of the net after Arthur Okonkwo had parried an effort from Valentin Castellanos.

    Should be some finale...

  13. 'What a 0-0'published at 16:30 BST 22 August

    QPR 0-0 Bolton

    Lee Blakeman
Commentator on BBC Radio 5 Live

QPR with all the chances in the first half they continue to pile on the pressure in the second.

Harvey Vale heading straight at Bonham, on another day Vale could’ve had a hat-trick.

As could Kone who’s just seen another kept out by Bonham. What a 0-0!

  14. Postpublished at 16:29 BST 22 August

    Wrexham 1-1 Watford

Watford substitute Martín Payero has a crack from more than 30 yards but Anthony Patterson is equal to it.

The vistiors cannot afford to just try to soak up pressure and Payero takes things into his own hands.

  15. Postpublished at 16:28 BST 22 August

    QPR 0-0 Bolton

Crucial intervention from Bolton's Ethan Erhanon in the box as the ball fell to Ilias Chair who was poised to get a shot away.

  16. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:27 BST 22 August

    QPR 0-0 Bolton

QPR don't do anything by halves.

Julien Stephan has made a quadruple change, among them is Rumarn Burrell coming on for Richard Kone, who might have had a hat-full, while Denis Cirkin makes his debut and Tariq Lamptey, another new arrival, is making his first appearance in 234 days after being injured at former club Fiorentina.

Stoke bring on Svante Ingelsson for Sam Gallagher.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:26 BST 22 August

    Swansea 0-0 Sheff Utd

Can't accuse Vitor Matos of not shaking things up to try and get a winner.

The Swansea gaffer makes a second double change as Josh Key and Melker Widell enter the action.

  19. Postpublished at 16:25 BST 22 August

    Wrexham 1-1 Watford

    Chris Wathan
BBC Sport Wales at the Racecourse Ground

You have to feel sorry for Watford's Kevin Keben.

The defender has gone down under pressure from Kieffer Moore. There didn't look to have been much contact - cue plenty of stick from the Wrexham fans closest to the touchline.

But on second viewing, he's been caught by an accidental stray boot and has got a mouthful of blood. No sympathy from the home support, mind.

He's been patched up and plays on, unsurprisingly with Watford already losing one at the back.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:25 BST 22 August

    West Ham 0-2 Charlton

First change for the Addicks as Sonny Carey is withdrawn with Alan Mwamba coming on to try and see out what would be a famous win.

24 minutes and added time remain.
