Birmingham return to home comforts at St Andrew's where they have lost only three of their past 46 league games.

Blues drew 0-0 at Sheffield United on the opening weekend and will hope to avoid going goalless in their opening two games to start the season since 2002.

Hopes will be high of doing so as only champions Coventry recorded more shots (397) and shots on target (130) in home matches than Birmingham last season.

Bristol City started life under Michael Skubala with a 2-0 home loss to Millwall and, coupled with their Carabao Cup exit to Walsall, are yet to score this season.

It’s not been a happy hunting ground for the Robins either, Blues have taken 10 points from their past four visits to St Andrew’s, conceding only once in that run, and have earned 26 points from the past 13 encounters at home.

You have to go back to 29 April 1961 for Lincoln's last home game in the second division of English football.

The Imps claimed a 2-0 win over Leyton Orient that day so a success today would see them make it back-to-back home wins at this level, 65 years apart.

Tom Shaw and Chris Cohen's men started the campaign with a heartbreaking late 2-1 defeat at promotion-chasing Middlesbrough last week but there was plenty of positives from a performance that nearly saw them leave Teesside with a share of the points.

Portsmouth also started the new Championship season with a defeat, albeit one that wasn't quite so well received.

Pompey slipped to a 3-1 home reverse by QPR after letting in three first-half goals that left boss John Mousinho reflecting his side had "fallen apart".

Coincidentally, Portsmouth also suffered relegation from the second tier when Lincoln went down in 1961.

There are two changes for Millwall with no place for Femi Azeez who remains the subject of transfer speculation while Ryan Leonard misses out.

Kyrell Lisbie and Mark Sykes make their first starts for the Lions.

Norwich bring in Sam Field and Oscar Schwartau for Pelle Mattsson, who is on the bench while Paris Maghoma is missing from the squad.

Another chance for Alex Neil to put one over a side he previously led to promotion to the Premier League.

The Canaries were one of seven sides to leave The Den with three points last season - had it been the other way around the Lions would have been preparing to face Nottingham Forest or Newcastle rather than Norwich.

Opening the season with a win at Bristol City showed there was no hangover for Millwall while Norwich were beaten 2-1 at home by West Brom which included a goal scored by the hand of West Brom striker Aune Heggebo.

Such has been the anger that incident sparked in boss Philippe Clement he spent part of his pre-match news conference listing the 70 countries who use VAR while the Championship does not.

Any more of those sorts of occurences and maybe he will be off to manage in Albania, whose top flight does use the technology!
