Fleetwood and Gillingham had to settle for a share of the points following an entertaining League Two stalemate at Highbury.

The visitors twice struck the woodwork through Ronan Hale and Will Goodwin, with Lewis McCann hitting a post for the hosts.

The Cod Army started the brighter but came up against a stubborn Gills defence, with Mark Helm denied by a number of last-ditch blocks which kept the scores level.

Gillingham grew into the game with Hale's early shot striking a post and Goodwin's close-range header saved by Jay Lynch before Gills' Kadeem Harris was carried off on a stretcher with a serious looking injury.

Goodwin then struck the upright and the visitors appeared the most likely to win it, with sub Sheldon Kendall's late effort running inches past the post before Danny Andrew headed over in the final seconds for the hosts.
