    Up the chimney... and caught.

Will Jacks is furious with himself after he skies an Eshan Malinga delivery into the dark Leeds sky.

The ball drops for Janith Liyanage, who completes the catch.

Tell you what, that delivery looks very close to a no ball.

Brilliant to see from Jos Buttler and England.

England have dominated white-ball cricket this summer.

    In comes Jos Buttler.

It will be interesting to see how he goes about it.

We know that Buttler is one of the best ball strikers to have ever played the game.

At this ground, it only takes two or three deliveries and you're right back up there.

    Good catch!

Jamie Overton tries to club Asitha Fernando's full toss the ground and doesn't hit the ball cleanly, with Charith Asalanka taking the catch over his shoulder from mid-off.

The umpires check both the delivery - it is just about OK - and the catch, ensuring Asalanka hasn't run the ball on the ground.

He hasn't, Overton has to go.

Asitha Fernando going for the yorker, and Will Jacks too good on this occasion.

He managed to get a good piece of that. Landed on the long square and it skips along for four.

I don’t think this is very good batting from us right now, yes they are bowling well, but nothing we shouldn’t be able to deal with. I feel like we haven’t been good in situations like this in ODIs for a while.

Jamie Overton has become a valuable cricketer for England.

His bowling has been brilliant since he came back in, and they have defined a role for him.

  19. Eng 289-6published at 47 overs

    Here's Jamie Overton then.

Eshan Malinga's final ball is a high-ish full toss and Overton can only push the ball out to mid-off.

Sri Lanka have been too good in this little period.

Gus Atkinson finally gets a bit of length, a slower ball at a good length.

He got a good piece of it, but he didn't get the elevation.

Sri Lanka have fought back brilliantly. It has been a great game of 50-over cricket.
