    Leics 303-7 v Notts 38-0

    Bang, bang and bang again.

Ben Martindale looks in good touch with three fours with the first three balls from Ben Green.

He is up to 31 from 21 balls already and this is concerning Foxes skipper Stephen Eskinazi who needs to keep the brakes on during the powerplay.

    It's 15 from the over.

Seven from the over with Ben Martindale nudging a four from the fifth ball which just makes the rope.

Notts have made a decent start here and with the target as near as damn a run a ball, but it is the wickets you feel they need to keep in hand.

Leics were three down for a long period in their innings and while Hamza Shaikh and Nick Kelly were in they looked in control.

And now Middlesex's target of 255 suddenly looks a long way off...

Ben Geddes flashes outside off stump at Luke Robinson and namesake Ollie claims his second catch of the innings.

The Middlesex captain is on his way and Joe Cracknell strides out to replace him, with the home side under real pressure.

  4. Postpublished at 3 overs

    Middlesex 11-1 (target 255) v Durham

Durham tails are up for now after that early Ben Stokes wicket, with Luke Robinson bowling very nicely at the other end.

The young paceman spears in a couple that Ben Geddes does well to dig out, then finds the edge of his bat and is unlucky to concede a boundary as the ball speeds to deep third.

    Leics 303-7 v Notts 12-0

Nervy opening from Freddie McCann who attempts three late cuts off Ian Holland... and misses them all.

Undaunted he gets good contact on the last delivery to punch the ball through between cover and point for four.

Ben Stokes strikes early for Durham!

It's an absolute snorter from the ex-England all-rounder, fizzing off the pitch and taking the edge of Josh de Caires' bat.

    Just the start Durham needed...

  7. Under way at Uptonsteel Grace Roadpublished at 0.3 overs

    Leic 304 v Notts 8-0

Ben Green to Ben Martindale to open the chase and the first ball whistles past the Notts opener's bat.

Second ball cut away through point for four. Third ball a beautifully timed punch through cover to the rope.

    Lively start.

    Middlesex 4-0 (target 255) v Durham

Josh de Caires gets the scoreboard moving for Middlesex as he crashes Luke Robinson through the covers to the fence.

Opening partner Nathan Fernandes will get to face Ben Stokes, who is sharing the new ball for the visitors.

    Middlesex 0-0 v Durham (target 255)

The players are back out in the middle at Radlett, with the second innings about to get under way.

Middlesex need 255 - will it be they or Durham who book a place in next month's final?

  10. Time for a breakpublished at 14:39 BST 16 August

    #bbccricket

Well this should be a very interesting afternoon indeed.

Both semi-finals are finely poised at the mid-way point, can Middlesex make a modest chase on the tricky deck at sun-scorched Radlett? Can Notts keep wickets in hand to go at better than a run a ball at Leicester?

All will be revealed when play resumes shortly after 3pm. We'll take a break while the players do and will return before the bell sounds...

  11. NOTTS NEED 304 TO WINpublished at 50 overs

    Leics 303-7 v Notts

Ian Holland edges Olly Stone over short third man to get the total up above 300 as the final over goes for 12 runs.

That is a very solid looking effort from the Foxes. Despite a steady start and a slightly turgid middle, a century from Hamza Shaikh (104) in a partnership of 117 with Nick Kelly (53) gave impetus.

Contributions from Ben Cox (22) and Ian Holland (29) as the pair threw the bat late on gave them a nudge.

Notts will not be too fazed however with the run rate still only 6.06. They have plenty of batting.

With the ball Dillon Pennington (3-65) was just about the pick but Liam Patterson-White (2-52) emerged with credit.

  12. DURHAM SET MIDDLESEX 255 TO WINpublished at 14:33 BST 16 August

    Middlesex v Durham 254-7

Textbook final over from Naavya Sharma.

The young Middlesex seamer mixes up pace, length and line superbly and Durham can only manage three singles at the death.

Sharma ends with 2-40 from his 10 overs, while Colin Ackermann remains unbeaten on 71 for Durham.

Middlesex will need 255 to make the final.

  13. Postpublished at 49 overs

    Leics 291-7 v Notts

Last ball of Dillon Pennington's over is ramped for four by Tom Scriven so a wicket and 11 runs from it.

Final over of the innings to be bowled by Olly Stone. Can they make 300?

  14. Postpublished at 49 overs

    Middlesex v Durham 251-7

Colin Ackermann lifts the first ball of the penultimate over for a boundary, but Durham can only manage three more from the remaining five as Tom Helm finishes with figures of with 0-57.

    One over to go...

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 48.2 overs

    Ben Green c McCann b Pennington 11 (Leics 281-7 v Notts)

Pumped down the ground and right down the throat of Freddie McCann who takes a well-judged and unruffled catch at long on.

That is a third wicket of the day for Dillon Pennington (3-55) who seems to be nursing either a cut lip from that attempted catch or a nose bleed.

He doesn't seem too bothered about it but there is a bit of claret.

  16. dropped catch

Holland dropped on 11published at 48 overs

    Leics 280-6 v Notts

Nine off the over and a drop to boot as a big swing takes a leading edge to mid on. Liam Patterson-White makes the ground and will be disappointed he has not held on.

He looked to get there with two hands but had made a lot of ground from mid on.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 48 overs

    Aldridge c Cornwell b Sharma 5 (Middlesex v Durham 244-7)

Naavya Sharma strikes again as Kasey Aldridge paddles to short fine leg and Noah Cornwell leans forward to take a well-judged diving catch.

Shaf Ghafari is Aldridge's replacement for these final 13 deliveries of the innings.

  18. Postpublished at 47 overs

    Leics 271-6 v Notts

The run rate is still less than a run a ball (5.77) which you would think is probably always in the favour of the chasing side who know how hard they have to go.

Ben Green and Ian Holland are going for the big shots but are seeing their hits cut off. Four twos in the over but nothing which reaches or clears the ropes.

Liam Patterson-White has bowled out his 10 overs and took 2-52.

Three overs to go and 300 is still in reach.

  19. 50 runs

50 for Colin Ackermannpublished at 46.1 overs

    Middlesex v Durham (230-6)

    Durham's Colin AckermannImage source, Shutterstock

Colin Ackermann goes to his second 50 of the tournament, squeezing Tom Helm through point for a boundary.

It's taken Ackermann 51 balls to get there following a slow start and Durham could do with him batting right through now.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 45.5 overs

    Cox c McCann b Pennington 22 (Leics 260-6 v Notts)

    And another one goes.

Ben Cox pulls a flat shot towards midwicket where Freddie McCann bags it five yards inside the rope.

The innings is faltering slightly but Leics will still be fairly confident and they already have enough to make it a good day's cricket.
