Helm has moved on to 38 not out - the best of his career in List A cricket while Luke Hollman squirts another boundary through point to advance to 47.

This has been a remarkable effort by Middlesex's eighth-wicket pair, whatever the outcome.

Jack Haynes and Kyle Verreynne shared a partnership of 154 in the victory over Yorkshire on Friday night and even half of that would presumably put Notts within touching distance of the final.

Haynes gets a tickle on a leg side delivery from Ajaz Patel which just evades the fielder at fine leg and goes for four to bring up the 200 for the chasing side.

Luke Robinson, who set the tone of this innings with two wickets in the powerplay, is recalled to the attack and immediately sends down a short one that strikes Tom Helm, er, amidships.

Helm recovers to jab a single out on the off side and Middlesex take two more from the over, bringing the target down to 63 from 12 overs.

Stephen Eskinazi is feeling his left shoulder and is leaving the field. Ben Cox, who got clocked by Haseeb Hameed, appears to be ready to come back on.

It looks as though that rattled the bowler, who then sends down a no-ball - and the resulting free hit is plinked for another boundary by Luke Hollman.

Middlesex need another 71.

Notts need to settled down here and what better man to come in after that mix-up than Kyle Verreynne.

Few have been in better form in this competition than the South African who has one century (on Friday against Yorkshire) and five half centuries in his 548 runs this campaign.

It puts him 32 runs behind Keaton Jennings and Noah Thain in third place in the runs scored so far.
