    Kent 39-2 - target 140

Kent don't seem too perturbed by the two openers falling early.

Sam Northeast and Tawanda Muyeye are still playing their shots.

Northeast picks up a two and a four from George Balderson, before flicking another boundary around the corner to go to 15 not out.

A good over for Kent who require another 101 runs to win.

  2. Postpublished at 17:48 BST 16 September

    Yorkshire 212 & 115-6 v Somerset 201

George Hill is back and across to Jack Leach, cutting the spinner away for a single.

A single to Dom Bess driving down the ground.

Hill is down the track to drive but the ball is stopped at mid on.

    Kent 29-2 - target 140

Another huge appeal from the Lancashire field... it flicks something on the way past Tawanda Muyeye from Tom Bailey.

It's thigh pad though, so not caught behind, and certainly far too high to be an lbw shout.

The visitors are lively in the field. They still fancy their chances of pulling off something special.

    Kent 29-2 - target 140

Big appeal as Tom Bailey strikes Sam Northeast on the pads and there were some Kent hearts in mouths there.

That looked very close but the umpire says not out.

Northeast then flicks one around the corner for a single before Tawanda Muyeye eases some nerves with a fine drive for four to the point boundary.

  5. Bears need seven to winpublished at 17:46 BST 16 September

    Warwickshire 126-2 – target 133

    They're almost there.

We've just gone over the allocated 20 overs but of course with the game at the stage it is they will carry on.

  6. Postpublished at 17:46 BST 16 September

    Yorkshire 212 & 113-6 v Somerset 201

Lewis Gregory bowls with a bit of width to George Hill - who drives through cover point for four.

He turns a single into the on side to move to 43.

  7. new ball

New ball taken by Nottspublished at 17:45 BST 16 September

    Sussex 276-6 v Notts 240

Nottinghamshire eventually take the new ball, nine overs after it was available.

    Brett Hutton has the honour.

  8. 'Challenging chase' in store for Surreypublished at 17:44 BST 16 September

    Surrey 115 v Glamorgan 132 & 331-5

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales

Surrey managed a couple of strikes in the first hour of the new ball, but they will face a challenging chase whatever the efforts of their bowlers now.

Asa Tribe has shown fine temperament as well as technique, demonstrating enough patience to soak up periods of dot balls and hold the innings together with his century.

Ben Kellaway chipped in with 43 as he added 80 with Tribe before edging Tom Lawes to slip.

Then Adam Thomas was the catcher again as Billy Root edged a decent delivery from Dan Worrall that forced him to play.

After the two first innings lasted less than 20 overs combined, there is just so much time left in the game as Glamorgan bid to free themselves from the relegation struggle.

Get Involvedpublished at 17:43 BST 16 September

Yet another poor batting performance by Lancs. That's now nine consecutive CC innings of less than 200. The end of this season cannot come quick enough. Only avoidance of being bottom of the pile to fight for.

    Paul, Northwich

All the people writing Overton off based on his previous Test average, is a player not allowed to improve? Or improve their record?

    Dave, Chelmsford

Essex looking bereft today, they’ll be fortunate to survive relegation as one of the least worst teams. Significant rebuilding exercise is needed over the winter with Elgar departing and Cox now a probable England mainstay, otherwise the batting looks much too thin for Division One

    Harry, Guildford

Warwickshire don’t fancy staying in Chelmsford tonight. Mousley and Malik really getting on with it

  10. Postpublished at 17:42 BST 16 September

    Yorkshire 212 & 108-6 v Somerset 201

One slip in for Jack Leach, bowling to George Hill.

Hill is back and across to push a single into the off side.

Dom Bess is foxed by one ball that misses his off stump and tries to cut another ball away off the back foot. No run.

    12 overs left tonight.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:40 BST 16 September

    Crawley c Hurst b Balderson 13 (Kent 22-2 - target 140)

That is the wicket Lancashire would have wanted.

Zak Crawley nicks off George Balderson and Matty Hurst takes an excellent catch standing up to the stumps.

Crawley made 84 in the first innings but he's gone for just 13 this time.

It's all a bit nervy now in this run chase for Kent. They still need another 118 to win.

  12. Latest from Bristolpublished at 17:40 BST 16 September

Two quick wickets for Middlesex have left Gloucestershire on 272-9 in the 77th over.

Sai Kishore was caught at long-off from the bowling of Luke Hollman for 71, ending a stand of 144 with Daz Ahmed - and Matt Taylor followed, leg before for a first-ball duck.

Ahmed is still there on 76 not out.

  13. Postpublished at 17:38 BST 16 September

    Warwickshire 118-2 – target 133

Dan Mousley finds the boundary and Warwickshire only need 15 to win.

They are set to take 19 points from the game and will be in the shake-up in the final round of fixtures next week whatever happens with their title rivals Somerset and Notts.

  14. Postpublished at 17:38 BST 16 September

    Kent 22-1 - target 140

Relief for Sam Northeast as he rocks onto the back foot to nicely punch to the point boundary off Tom Bailey.

Northeast is off the mark and off a dreaded pair for Kent.

  15. 6 runs

Hill powers Yorkshire past 100published at 17:38 BST 16 September

    Yorkshire 212 & 105-6 v Somerset 201

The innings century and the 50 partnership for the seventh wicket arrive in style in the 50th over - as George Hill is forward to Jack Leach, sweeping the spinner over mid-wicket for six!

    The lead is 116.

  16. Postpublished at 17:37 BST 16 September

    Sussex 269-6 v Notts 240

Sussex continue to potter along and Notts just haven't been able to take regular wickets.

The home side have opened up a 29-run lead over the defending champions.

We've said it before and we'll say it again... Notts need wickets...

  17. Postpublished at 17:37 BST 16 September

    Surrey 115 v Glamorgan 132 & 324-5

Adam Thomas may have taken seven catches in this match - four of them today - but he really hasn't looked dangerous with the ball.

Three singles from his latest over as Glrmorgan increase their lead to 342.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:36 BST 16 September

    Bartlett c Guest b Potts 8 (Northants 252-8 v Derbyshire 372)

Northants have been losing wickets in twos all afternoon and have done so again as George Bartlett and Liam Guthrie depart in quick succession.

They have collected a first batting point - can they get any more in the bag?

It looks doubtful now but they would have expected better at 97-1.

  19. Postpublished at 17:36 BST 16 September

    Kent 17-1 - target 140

Zak Crawley barely seems to hit this, but it's raced away for four through the leg-side from Tom Bailey.

Wicketkeeper Matty Hurst is now standing up for Lancashire to try and apply a bit of pressure.

  20. Close of play at Grace Roadpublished at 17:35 BST 16 September

    Leicestershire 244 v Hampshire 214 & 255-3

Nathan Gilchrist draws an edge from Manny Lumsden, who takes a hand off the bat and gets the ball to run away through the slips for four.

    Two more to deep third.

He ducks under a bouncer and blocks a fuller ball down the ground.

A thick edge sends the sixth ball to backward point for one.

    Leicestershire want another over.

They won't get it and that's it at 17.30 BST.

The game seems to have drifted away from Leicestershire after running through much of the Hampshire first innings batting on Day One and adding 96 for the last three wickets in their first innings.

The pitch has offered a bit less assistance second time around - but that does not diminish the importance of a fine unbeaten century from Nick Gubbins.

The Hampshire left-hander leaves the field on 124 not out.

Manny Lumsden survives on 10 and the lead is 225.
