    Leicestershire 244 v Hampshire 214 & 222-2

Leicestershire's spin duo of Rehan Ahmed and Ajaz Patel have restored a bit of control to this innings without quite finding the breakthrough.

Now Nathan Gilchrist will have a bowl. The seamer goes full and Nick Gubbins drives for a single. He's on 111, which would be most inconvenient for the superstitious.

Jake Lehmann almost plays on as the ball is jammed between boot and inside edge.

He gets a single to backward point. Eight overs left here tonight.

    Hurst c Bell-Drummond b Dudgeon 27 (Kent 214 v Lancashire 161 & 192-9)

Matty Hurst has tried to go for it for Lancashire but it proves to be his undoing.

A two, a four and a six from Keith Dudgeon's over... and then out.

Hurst takes a big swing across the line and skies it to Daniel Bell-Drummond in the covers who makes no mistake.

And now 44-year-old Jimmy Anderson gets a round of applause from the Canterbury crowd as he comes to the crease. Who doesn't love Sir Jimmy?

    Kent 214 v Lancashire 161 & 192-8

Keith Dudgeon with the full toss on leg stump... dispatched by Matty Hurst.

He smashes it over deep square leg for six. Lancashire need a few more of those.

  4. Postpublished at 16:58 BST 16 September

    Yorkshire 212 & 72-6 v Somerset 201

Another fine delivery from Craig Overton, drawing Dom Bess forward into a late leave as the ball nips away off the seam.

A push into the on side brings a tight but manageable single.

    83 ahead.

  5. Postpublished at 16:57 BST 16 September

    Kent 214 v Lancashire 161 & 184-8

Matty Hurst sends one very high into the Canterbury sky from Keith Dudgeon and it goes for a one-bounce four.

Is that a sign that Hurst is going to go for it for Lancashire now?

  6. Postpublished at 16:56 BST 16 September

    Kent 214 v Lancashire 161 & 180-8

Brilliant yorker by Matt Milnes to Mitch Stanley and there's a huge appeal for lbw from the Kent field.

But Stanley just about got some bat on it and the not out decision is the correct one.

  7. Postpublished at 16:55 BST 16 September

    Yorkshire 212 & 71-6 v Somerset 201

LBW shout for Migael Pretorius as George Hill misses an attempted scoop to leg. Not out. Too leg side and probably an inside edge.

  8. Postpublished at 16:53 BST 16 September

    Leicestershire 244 v Hampshire 214 & 218-2

10 runs come off the latest Rehan Ahmed over.

  9. Postpublished at 16:53 BST 16 September

    Sussex 238-5 v Notts 240

Tom Price sweeps Liam Patterson-White for four.

And now Joe Clarke is having trouble finding the ball after it rolled under the fence on the boundary...

We might need a new ball in a minute... we do indeed need a new ball.

How did nobody see where it went? Gotta laugh.

  10. Postpublished at 16:51 BST 16 September

    Yorkshire 212 & 69-6 v Somerset 201

George Hill gets four runs off Lewis Gregory, swivel-pulling the Somerset captain over square leg.

Craig Overton continues to ask questions with nearly every ball at the other end, getting one to bounce and nip away from Dom Bess - who does well to keep the ball down.

    Maiden over.

Now Migael Pretorius replaces Gregory from the Howard Stand End.

  11. Division Two updatepublished at 16:51 BST 16 September

Ben Stokes is into his 17th over of the day at the Riverside, but the partnership between Adam Hose and Brett D'Oliveira is now worth 142 as Worcestershire progress to 232-3 - still 233 behind.

  12. Postpublished at 16:50 BST 16 September

    Sussex 233-5 v Notts 240

Nice shot by Tom Price to pounce on the half-volley by Tom Giles.

Price punches straight down the ground, evading the fielder at mid-on who tries to cut it off, and it zooms away to the rope.

And now the Notts lead is cut to only seven runs.

Brett Randell, with curiously the number 00 on the back of his shirt, pins Calvin Harrison lbw for 20 before getting on to angle in and take out the stumps of James Sales for nine.

Northants still a fair way short of a batting point and once again have two new batters at the crease.

    Kellaway c Thomas b Lawes 43 (Surrey 115 v Glamorgan 132 & 290-4)

Adam Thomas has shown himself in this match to be a very dependable slip fielder - although he needed two grabs at that one.

Ben Kellaway plays away from his body, gets the edge and Thomas does the rest - just - to give Tom Lawes his second wicket of the day.

Glamorgan lead by 307 as Billy Root comes out to join Asa Tribe, who put on 80 with Kellaway.

First up, he receives a full toss which he steers square for four.

A period of calm for Yorkshire in a game full of drama.
