    Durham 465 v Worcestershire 31-0

Durham skipper Alex Lees summons Ben Stokes for a pre-lunch burst.

Stokes looks to the heavens. You can perhaps imagine what he is thinking.

  2. 50 runs

50 up for Essexpublished at 12:19 BST 16 September

    Essex 134 & 53-0 v Warwickshire 191

Paul Walter (33*) and Dean Elgar (15*) have seen Essex through to 53 without loss.

The hosts have almost wiped out the first-innings deficit already.

  5. Postpublished at 12:18 BST 16 September

    Yorkshire 212 v Somerset 168-8

Who ever would've thought Migael Pretorius would beat Craig Overton to a 50?

Overton, two places higher in the order and in supreme form, is on 42 and sees out a maiden over from Kuldeep Yadav.

  6. Division Two updatepublished at 12:17 BST 16 September

Durham have made their first bowling change but have still not achieved a breakthrough against Worcestershire, who are 27-0 after 10 overs in reply to the home side's 465 all out.

Gloucestershire have moved on to 63-1 in the 20th over against Middlesex after bowling the visitors out for 326.

  7. Postpublished at 12:16 BST 16 September

    Sussex 71-2 v Notts 240

Ever so slightly over-pitched by Tom Giles and Tom Clark makes the most of it with a wonderful cover drive.

It flies to the boundary and Clark is on 29 from 37 balls.

Sussex now trail by 169 runs.

  8. Hampshire on second innings at Grace Roadpublished at 12:16 BST 16 September

    Leicestershire 235-8 v Hampshire 214 & 0-0

Here come Felix Organ and Nick Gubbins to open the Hampshire innings.

Leicestershire captain Ian Holland, very much Hampshire destroyer-in-chief on first innings, will bowl first up to Organ.

  9. Postpublished at 12:14 BST 16 September

    Yorkshire 212 v Somerset 164-8

Four more to Migael Pretorius, driving neatly down the ground from the crease off the bowling of Ben Cliff.

The Yorkshire lead is down to 44.

    The partnership is worth 82.

Driven through the off side! Four! 50!

His highest score in first class cricket this season and how timely is that?

All 3 title contenders have been at 150-8 in their respective batting innings. But Notts made the best score of their mid/lower order… here’s hoping Somerset get close or surpass Yorkshire's score as their first ever title is there for the taking!

    Michael, Taunton

It's all very tight and nervy, isn't it Michael?

  12. Postpublished at 12:11 BST 16 September

    Surrey 115 v Glamorgan 132 & 100-2

When you are on a pair, a low full toss is a generous gift from the bowler and Kiran Carlson punches it away for four runs as Glamorgan's total reaches 100. They lead by 117.

  13. Postpublished at 12:10 BST 16 September

    Kent 214 v Lancashire 161 & 17-1

Not a convincing way for Josh Bohannon to get off the mark for Lancashire as it takes a thick edge down to third man for four off Matt Milnes.

But they all count and the visitors will take what they can get.

Kent's lead is reduced to 36 runs.

  14. Postpublished at 12:07 BST 16 September

    Kent 214 v Lancashire 161 & 13-1

Michael Jones tries to flick one down the leg-side from Khaled Ahmed but it brushes off his thigh pad.

It still has the desired effect though and runs away for four leg byes to fine leg.

Pretty much every boundary in this low-scoring match feels vital.

    Hope-Bell c Thomas b Taylor 5 (Surrey 115 v Glamorgan 132 & 96-2)

Second wicket for James Taylor as Jack Hope-Bell edges an attempted cover drive to first slip, where Adam Thomas takes the catch.

Glamorgan skipper Kiran Carlson walks to the middle on a pair.

Dan Lawrence is brought in at leg slip and Carlson is fortunate when the first ball he faces comes off the inside edge but strikes his rear pad - not the stumps.

  16. wicket

    Gilchrist b Organ 5 - Leicestershire 244 v Hampshire 214

But he's gone now, playing back to the spin of Felix Organ.

tom Scriven is left on 53 not out. A very useful innings.

    Leicestershire lead by 30.

  19. Postpublished at 12:01 BST 16 September

    Surrey 115 v Glamorgan 132 & 93-1

He had to deal with a fox yesterday and now Ollie Pope finds himself fielding next to a flock of pigeons at mid-wicket.

They are all of a flutter as Asa Tribe plays the ball in his direction but he is able to prevent a run.
