WICKETpublished at 17:18 BST 21 August

    Luxton b Jack 36 (Hants 197 v Yorks 173 & 69-1)

There is a little puff of dust as the ball lands on a line outside off stump and Will Luxton may have been undone by a bit of uneven bounce here.

He attempts the cut and gets an under-edge off Eddie Jack on to his off-stump.

Lancs once again cannot finish off an innings. Come the end of the season a complete clear out is needed and a top-class coach.

    Tony O'Malley, Cheshire

To the Essex fan from earlier, we said that other fans would contest your assertion about being unable to bowl teams out.

    Glos 150 v Worcs 167-6

Not quite perfect cricket-watching weather at Cheltenham - a little chilly now - but still a lovely atmosphere around the marquees with plenty enjoying their Friday afternoons.

And the hosts trying to battle back with the ball after a poor first-innings effort with the bat.

Brett D'Oliveria, unbeaten on 42, is hoping to use the lower order to push this lead out to something more substantial.

  4. Bad light stops play at Northwoodpublished at 17:16 BST 21 August

    Middlesex 203-9 v Kent 350

Eathan Bosch squirts a Matt Parkinson ball through the gully area where it races across the parched turf away for four.

The Middlesex score ticks past 200 and the follow-on is avoided.

And with the light deteriorating, the umpires take a reading and the players leave the field.

  5. GLAMORGAN ALL OUT FOR 152published at 17:15 BST 21 August

    Crane lbw b Holland 44 (Leics 151 v Glam 152 all out)

Glamorgan's first innings lead is....one, as Mason Crane's resistance is broken by Ian Holland who gets the fourth LBW of the Glamorgan innings.

Holland finishes with 4-30, Ben Mike 4-38.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:15 BST 21 August

    Jewell b Stokes 28 (Derbys 48-2 v Durham 283)

He has only gone and done it again.

Full, almost yorker length and on to his stumps before Caleb Jewell has a chance to jab his bat down.

Stokes has struck with his first ball for the second time and now has 2-11.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:13 BST 21 August

    Cook b Leach 0 (Somerset 469 v Essex 156-9)

Sam Cook with a five-ball duck and Essex are almost done.

    Fourth wicket for Jack Leach.

  8. Glamorgan ahead at Leicesterpublished at 17:11 BST 21 August

    Leicestershire 151 v Glamorgan 152-9

A scampered two followed by a single from Mason Crane allows Glamorgan to take the lead in the first innings.

That didn't look likely when they were 55-6 but Crane, unbeaten on 44, has played the innings of the match.

  9. wicket

NORTHANTS ALL OUT FOR 284published at 17:08 BST 21 August

    Bartlett c Jennings b Balderson 92 (Lancashire v Northants 284 all out)

Some terrific batting here from George Bartlett with last man Yazvendra Chahal.

Bartlett does all the scoring and hits a big six off George Balderson to move to 92.

But he falls, going for another big hit, although his innings has put Northants in a strong position.

It also shows why they are doing so well in all formats this season as they have terrific battling qualities.

Lancashire will have a tough 30-odd overs to face in their reply.

  10. Postpublished at 17:08 BST 21 August

    Hants 197 Yorks 173 & 64-0 (lead by 40 runs)

Adam Lyth (24) and Will Luxton (32) are confounding expectations of an increasingly difficult pitch and are making smooth and decent progress now.

Not sure Hants have bowled very good lengths here.

  11. wicket

Warwickshire all outpublished at 17:07 BST 21 August

    Hannon-Dalby c Crocombe b Unadkat (Warks 161 v Sussex 156)

And indeed it will be a one-innings shootout at Edgbaston as Warwickshire are finished off for 161.

Olly Hannon-Dalby the last man to go as he slices Jadev Unadkat to point.

Could have been a lot worse for the Bears but they take a first-innings lead of just five.

  12. Postpublished at 17:05 BST 21 August

    Derbys 43-1 v Durham 283

How on earth are Derbys just one down here?

First Matthew Potts and Brydon Carse pinned them down to a slow start and now Ben Stokes and Duanne Olivier are giving them a right old working over.

Most of the runs they have scored in the last few overs have come from edges through the slip cordon.

  13. Warwickshire leadpublished at 17:04 BST 21 August

    Warks 161-9 v Sussex 156

Michael Booth’s unbeaten 34 has nudged the Bears into a very slender lead.

But looking like pretty much a scratch game now at Edgbaston.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:03 BST 21 August

    Gorvin lbw b Holland 7 (Leics 151 v Glamorgan 147-9)

It says something about the game so far that Andy Gorvin gets a hearty round of applause from the away fans at Grace Road after scoring seven.

He did share in a ninth wicket stand of 31 with Mason Crane which has got Glamorgan to within four of Leicestershire's total.

The partnership ends as Ian Holland gets one past Gorvin's bat to have him LBW.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:03 BST 21 August

    Cullen c Boorman b Kishore 5 (Glos 150 v Worcs 154-5)

Henry Cullen takes Worcestershire into the lead but not much beyond that.

He pushes forward to Sai Kishore's left-arm spin and is well caught at silly mid-off.

  16. Postpublished at 17:02 BST 21 August

    Derbys 41-1 v Durham 283

Play and a miss against Ben Stokes who rounds off a nice maiden.

The Durham all-rounder looks to be in a good rhythm and is joined at the other end by South Africa international Duanne Olivier.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:01 BST 21 August

    Roland-Jones c Muyeye b Singh 36 (Middlesex 193-9 v Kent 350)

Toby Roland-Jones cannot take Middlesex past the follow-on mark.

Ekansh Singh breaks the run of wickets from the two Matts, as he has the batter easily caught at second slip.

Middlesex need eight more to make Kent definitely bat again.

  18. Postpublished at 17:00 BST 21 August

    Leicestershire 151 v Glamorgan 143-8

Glamorgan are steadily accumulating and moving towards Leicestershire's first innings total.

Mason Crane is leading the way. He's scored 40 off 100 balls and has led the Welsh county to eight runs from parity.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:58 BST 21 August

    Edavalath c Rao b Kishore 63 (Glos 150 v Worcs 148-4)

Rehaan Edavalath has batted very nicely and taken Worcestershire almost to parity.

But he perishes when he tries to drive Sai Kishore and he picks out the man at mid-on.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:57 BST 21 August

    Snater c Rew b Leach 0 (Somerset 469 v Essex 138-8)

Oh goodness, Essex are rolling over now.

Shane Snater latest to go as he tries to cut Jack Leach but gets an edge behind to fall for a duck.
