  1. Derbys v Durham 134-3

    Brett Randell hits Ben Stokes on his pads and a half-hearted shout goes up from the bowler and a three-quarters-hearted one from the men behind the stumps.

    A shake of the head from the umpire and, again, another reaction from Stokes who steps forward and lifts a lovely lofted drive over the bowler's head for four.

    Lovely shot.

    Middleton b Swanepoel 13 (Glos 132-7 v Worcs)

    Not sure this is the sight a batter wants to see on the second morning of a game as Ed Middleton looks suspiciously down at the pitch.

    He thinks Beyers Swanepoel's delivery has kept lower than expected and has made a real mess of the stumps.

    The bowler is delighted and Worcestershire continue on their merry way.

    Bears absolutely rampant as another one goes!

    Ethan Bamber again.

    Full length to Jack Carson who drives too lustily at a full ball and loses his off stump.

    Another duck - this one in four balls - and Sussex are in all sorts.

    Another for Chris Woakes!

    Fynn Hudson-Prentice looking to work to leg but again Woakes finds movement away from the right-hander and takes a thick outside edge to second slip.

    He walks off for a five-ball duck and this is a shocking start to day two for Sussex.

  5. Derbys v Durham 130-3

    Ben Aitchison angles one back in flight at Ben Stokes and beats the Durham man all ends up.

    That was a pearl and Stokes looks back at his wicket as if to check again that nothing has moved.

    His response is good, clipping one off his legs next ball to send the ball to the boundary.

    This is a good battle.

    A fine wicketless start to the day for Northants. Luke Procter and Nathan McSweeney have taken the score to 80-2 against Lancashire.

    Kent are being watchful against the new-ball bowling of Middlesex pair Toby Roland-Jones and Ryan Higgins with them now 331-7.

  7. Leics 128-8 v Glamorgan

    First really good attacking shot of the morning comes from Leicestershire's New Zealander Ajaz Patel.

    A glorious drive through long-off to the boundary.

  8. Derbys v Durham 122-3

    There is quite a green tinge on the strip for all the dry weather and Ben Aitchison is getting the ball to nip off the seam.

    He has already seen an edge put down behind the stumps by Brooke Guest from Alex Lees and now he gets one to nip back into the Durham opener's pads.

    He looks a handful.

    A third wicket in the opening half-hour for Warwickshire, what a start this is to day two.

    Ethan Bamber this time, round the wicket to the left-handed John Simpson, squares him up and draws an edge to first slip for a simple catch.

    I'm not taking any credit or blame but just as I've written Leicestershire are surviving, they lose a wicket next ball.

    Andy Gorvin gets one to nip back and knock over the bails of Ian Holland who's bowled for 23, the home side's highest score so far.

    Derbyshire v Durham 120-3

    If you are wondering how Ben Stokes feels playing at a slightly sleepy Derby when the Test action is going on at Leeds, scene of some of his greatest moments, here is the answer.

    In the white of Durham, with the 38 on his back, the former Test skipper announces himself into the game with a lovely, lofted drive over mid-on for four off Brett Randell.

    For good measure he adds another two balls later as he moves to eight from eight balls.

    Another for Chris Woakes as he again straightens one off a good length and Charlie Tear edges to second slip.

    Good low catch from Rob Yates diving forward to his left.

  13. No easier for Leicestershire

    Leicestershire 123-7 v Glamorgan

    Leicestershire continue to find it a struggle with the bat at Grace Road but they've survived so far on Day Two.

    Timm van der Gugten has threatened with the ball but the home side have eked out 10 more runs from the first six overs of the morning.

    First wicket of the morning at Cheltenham College and it's an emphatic one.

    Daz Ahmed's middle stump is in a sorry heap on the floor after being castled by Matthew Waite.

    A third wicket for Waite as Worcestershire resume their grip on the Glosters.

    Brooke Guest dives across Wayne Madsen at first slip and gets gloves to this edge but he spills the catch and Alex Lees, on 58 at the time, survives.

    Coles lbw b Woakes 1 (Warks v Sussex 103-4)

    Early strike for Warwickshire and James Coles is gone.

    Chris Woakes nips one in off a good length, beats the inside edge and catches Coles top of the knee roll.

    Height is probably the only consideration. It looks good enough but maybe one Coles would have liked a review for.

    Matt Milnes takes advantage of the old ball by racing to 14 from nine balls with three fours.

    That sees off the old cherry and it's time for a new one as Middlesex try to polish off this Kent innings.

    Confident start by Surrey's new batter.

    Adam Thomas turns one from Olly Stone round his pads for four.

    And next over an even better delivery from Jamie Porter cleans up Archie Vaughan for a third-ball duck.

    Great length, it straightens enough to beat the outside edge and flick the top of off-stump.
