WICKET - Sussex all out and close of playpublished at 18:05 BST 9 September

    Sussex 393 v Surrey

Jaydev Unadkat gets a boundary away off Mahipal Lomror, hanging back in the crease to chop the spinner past first slip and through deep third.

But he's out in the next over and that's it for the day.

Lightening reflexes from keeper Ben Foakes to complete the stumping off the bowling of Rahul Chahar as Unadkat is out of his crease to block down the ground.

An entertaining day's cricket ends and Surrey will bat first thing tomorrow.

    Edavalath c Zaib b Conway 6 (Worcs 200 & 27-2 v Northants 289)

Rehaan Edavalath cannot believe what he has just done and stares at the ground, leaning on his bat, before walking off.

It was a full length ball on his pads from Harry Conway, but the right-hander failed to keep on top of it and picked out Saif Zaib at mid-wicket.

There are still 14 overs to go after this one and Worcestershire are 62 away from clearing the first-innings deficit.

    Lammonby c R Patel b A Patel 69 (Leics v Somerset 137-3 lead by 343)

A third wicket to spin and a little rally here from Leicestershire.

WICKETpublished at 17:59 BST 9 September

    Snater b Bess 10 - Yorkshire 390 v Essex 97-7

Dom Bess strikes again. That's his third.

A swivel pull goes horribly wrong to a ball that keeps low.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:54 BST 9 September

    Lategan c sub b Conway 13 (Worcs 200 & 19-1 v Northants 289)

Good ball from Harry Conway leaves Dan Lategan off the pitch and sub keeper Stuart van der Merwe gratefully accepts the chance.

Odd that SVDM is out there are Lewis McManus was fit enough to bat during the Northants first innings despite a sore finger.

  17. Close of play at Trent Bridgepublished at 17:54 BST 9 September

    Notts 377 v Hampshire 267-7 - Hampshire trail by 110 runs

A good day for Hampshire who started on 12-0 and promptly lost Felix Organ to the first ball of the day from Olly Stone.

Jake Lehmann has been the star of the show, finishing the day on 115 not out, and his partnership with Scott Currie (35 from 143) ensured Hampshire avoided the follow-on and got themselves a batting point.

For Notts, Fraser Sheat took 3-61 and Stone 2-58.

A slightly frustrating day for the hosts but there's still two days to go in this one and they have time to secure what really needs to be a win to stay in the title hunt after Warks' win inside two days over Glamorgan.

Glamorgan's performance over the last 2 days, has made Pakistan look like 'world beaters' - surely one of the most pathetic performances in the history of the CCC.

    Sean, Aldershot

Embarrassing from Glamorgan. Demote them straight into the Minor Counties!

    Odin, Cardiff

If Warwickshire miss the title by 5 or 6 points this season, they only have very careless batting to blame. Our first innings performances have been infuriating.

    Mike, Birmingham

The win is surely the thing, Mike? But failing to reach 400 in their innings at Cardiff was a bit careless.

  20. Postpublished at 17:48 BST 9 September

    Yorkshire 390 v Essex 90-6

Shane Snater miscues an attempted cut from the crease off Dom Bess and is saved from LBW by an inside edge.

Kuldeep Yadav is into his 16th over with three fielders around the bat.

George Bell is forward to block and the ball spins past the outside edge pf the bat.

He gets into line to block after that - then goes back and across to push a single through wide mid off.
