  1. 50 runs

for Sam Hainpublished at 11:19 BST 9 September

    Glamorgan 69 v Warks 206-4

Sam Hain plays it late, running the ball down past second slip for a couple to bring up his 50 from 87 balls.

Little trouble for the experienced Warwickshire batter who - if selected - will play his 150th first-class game in the final week of the season.

It's now going to be spin from both ends, with Ben Kellaway called up to bowl by Glamorgan.

  2. Postpublished at 11:17 BST 9 September

    Yorkshire 275-6 v Essex

A confident appeal for caught behind from Jamie Porter, who runs off the square in celebration - but the umpire has not moved a muscle.

Dom Bess survives a probing over, near immaculate in line and length.

  3. Grey and chilly morning in CLSpublished at 11:17 BST 9 September

    Durham 252 v Middlesex 95-2

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

It was nice and sunny earlier but quite a lot of gloom has moved in over the banks of the Wear and I wouldn't be surprised if the lights come on soon.

It's a chilly morning today too and feels like we are on the fringes of autumn.

From the look of it, these are good bowling conditions, but in the 40 minutes of play we have seen, there's been little to worry the batsmen.

Max Holden has 31 and Nathan Fernandes has 16. They have put on 44 so far.

  4. 200 runs

200 up for Warwickshirepublished at 11:16 BST 9 September

    Glamorgan 69 v Warks 200-4

Poor ball from Mason Crane, but Sam Hain settles for playing it away through cover for a single as Warwickshire's total reaches 200.

The lead is 131 and they are, despite the loss of Vansh Jani this morning, in total control of the game at this point.

  5. Postpublished at 11:15 BST 9 September

    Sussex 41-1 v Surrey

Surrey bring Tom Lawes into the attack for the first time - and he's too wide of off stump first up.

A short and wide ball barely gets up off the surface at all, which may be an ominous sign for later in the match.

  6. Postpublished at 11:13 BST 9 September

    Yorkshire 274-6 v Essex

A bit full Jamie Porter and George Hill is forward, steering the ball to deep third for four. Soft hands there.

Shane Snater hits a testing length straight away and Dom Bess survives an LBW shout, hit on the pad while half forward.

Keeper George Bell is standing up and there are two slips.

Bess safely withdraws his bat inside the line of the last ball of the over.

    Patel c Rew b Gregory 12 (Leics 22-2 v Somerset 363)

    A second for Lewis Gregory.

He gets one to bounce a touch and move away from Rishi Patel who gets a healthy edge behind.

    Smart piece of bowling.

  8. Division Two updatepublished at 11:10 BST 9 September

Gloucestershire have lost their eighth wicket at Old Trafford with Lancashire old boy Will Williams caught superbly at slip by a diving James Anderson off Mitch Stanley for four. Not bad for a 44-year-old.

The visitors are 182-8 in the 71st over, but Daz Ahmed is 43 not out.

Luke Procter has picked up the first boundary of his innings, clipped to square leg off Tom Taylor, and Northants are 39-1 at New Road, replaying to Worcestershire's 200 all out.

  9. wicket

    Thomas c Sibley b Worrall 29 - Sussex 40-1 v Surrey

Sussex are close to guaranteed Division One status next year and have looked largely at ease in this game so far.

    Commentator's curse alert!

George Thomas is drawn forward by Dan Worrall, edging from a defensive blade low to Dom Sibley first slip.

Surrey have a breakthrough and here comes Charlie Tear.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:06 BST 9 September

    Northeast lbw b Randell 4 (Derbys 300 v Kent 34-3)

Big blow for Kent as Sam Northeast falls.

Trapped in the crease by one from Brett Randell that nips back, he’s palpably lbw.

Great start to day two for Derbyshire.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:05 BST 9 September

    Jani b van der Gugten 28 (Glamorgan 69 v Warks 193-4)

Relief for Glamorgan as Timm van der Gugten nips one back to bowl Vansh Jani as he attempts an expansive drive and they have their first wicket of the day.

Jani added 64 with Sam Hain, who has now been joined by captain Ed Barnard.

  12. Postpublished at 11:05 BST 9 September

    Durham 252 v Middlesex 88-2

Max Holden squeezes Brydon Carse away for four to move to 25 from 52 balls.

Nathan Fernandes is alongside Holden on 14 from 64 and the duo have added 18 so far this morning.

  13. Postpublished at 11:04 BST 9 September

    Glamorgan 69 v Warks 192-3

He's not going to miss out on that.

Timm van der Gugten fires one down outside leg stump and Sam Hain tickles it down to fine leg for four and moves into the 40s.

  14. new ball

New ball taken by Essex at Headingleypublished at 11:04 BST 9 September

    Yorkshire 266-6 v Essex

Essex captain Tom Westley has brought himself on to bowl some off spin ahead of the new ball, conceding just a couple of singles.

Matt Critchley bowls the 80th over of the innings and Dom Bess is forward to the leg spinner, blocking into the off side.

He trades singles with George Hill, adding four runs in all for the over.

The new ball is taken straight away - and Jamie Porter has first dibs.

Here comes more sawdust for the footmarks.

  15. Postpublished at 11:00 BST 9 September

    Notts 377 v Hampshire 30-1

After losing Felix Organ with the first ball of the morning, Hampshire have managed to negotiate the following half-an-hour without any further loss.

Just about, as Olly Stone flashes another delivery a whisker away from the edge of Nick Gubbins' bat.

With the following ball, Stone does find the edge but it flies away to the boundary rather than into the hands of a Notts fielder.

Hampshire under pressure but handling it for the moment.

  16. Postpublished at 10:57 BST 9 September

    Glamorgan 69 v Warks 185-3

An early tactical change by Glamorgan as Mason Crane's leg-spin is introduced for the sixth over of the morning.

One piece of good news is that Asa Tribe is out in the field after 'wearing one' full on the helmet while stationed at short leg yesterday.

Unsurprisingly, he's been positioned a bit further away from the bat.

    Gumbs lbw b Gregory 0 (Leics 1-1 v Somerset 363

Third ball of the Leicestershrie reply and Lewis Gregory strikes!

Full ball from round the wicket to the left-handed Sheridon Gumbs, he nips one in to beat the inside edge for an easy lbw decision.

  18. Postpublished at 10:56 BST 9 September

    Sussex 22-0 v Surrey

Four runs to Tom Haines, driving with a thick edge wide of the slips to deep third.

A head in hands moment for bowler Matt Fisher, who responds by beating Haines outside off stump.

Haines hasn't quite found his rhythm yet, ending the over with a drive and miss outside off.

  19. Postpublished at 10:55 BST 9 September

    Worcs 200 v Northants 30-1

Far too much width on offer from Tom Taylor as Calvin Harrison helps himself to two successive fours to extra cover.

Harrison has already overtaken skipper Luke Procter, who has faced 33 balls for his six not out.

  20. Postpublished at 10:53 BST 9 September

    Yorkshire 255-6 v Essex

Essex have kept Yorkshire honest this morning with just 13 runs added since last night.

Plus the new ball is available shortly.

George Hill is forward and across to drive Zaman Akhter but he hasn't timed it and again there's no run.

There's a run here though as a leg side ball is nudged fine for one.

New ball due in three overs.
