WICKETpublished at 14:07 BST 9 September

    Mike lbw b Pretorius 2 (Leics 121-8 v Somerset 363)

    Leicestershire are sinking.

Migael Pretorius removes Ben Mike with a full, straight ball that’s he’s played all around.

  2. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:06 BST 9 September

    Kuldeep c & b Critchley 36 - Yorkshire 364-8 v Essex

Kuldeep Yadav is down the track to Matt Critchley trying to belt him down the ground but he's clothed it back to the bowler at waist height.

A very handy stand of 83 is broken and Ben Cliff will bat next.

  3. 50 runs

50 for Charlie Tearpublished at 14:05 BST 9 September

    Sussex 167-3 v Surrey

Four runs to Charlie Tear, driving Matt Fisher compactly into cover just in front of the crease.

    He's on 49...

Width from Fisher and guided into cover for one.

The 50 comes in 124 balls with four fours.

His second 50 of the season and only the third of his career in 10 first class games.

His first came in his first game of the season back in May against Surrey at the Oval.

  4. MIDDLESEX ALL OUT FOR 203 - CARSE TAKES FIVE WICKETSpublished at 14:04 BST 9 September

    Durham 252 v Middlesex 203

    Brydon CarseImage source, Getty Images

    That all ended rather abruptly!

Two wickets in three balls at the end of the 56th over and Brydon Carse finishes with five wickets.

He had Tom Helm caught behind for 15 and last man Naavya Sharma could only last two balls before being trapped lbw.

Ben Raine also bowled well, he took 3-67 to help Durham bowl Middlesex out for 203, giving the hosts a lead of 49 at the halfway stage.

  5. Postpublished at 14:00 BST 9 September

    Yorkshire 359-7 v Essex

110 overs bowled. That's the end as far as batting bonus points are concerned - so now the task for Yorkshire is to try and go big, batting just the once.

Essex captain Tom Westley brings himself on to bowl a bit of off spin and a looping leg side ball is worked away by Kuldeep Yadav for a leg bye.

Dom Bess gets a single into the off side and Kuldeep survives an optimistic LBW appeal. Bowled wide of the crease and pitching on or outside leg.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:59 BST 9 September

    Flintoff b Williams 9 (Lancs 40-5 v Glos 212)

Will Williams continues to torment his former Lancashire team-mates as he pierces Rocky Flintoff's defence to collect his second wicket of the innings - and now has 2-12 from eight overs.

Another body blow in the next over as Matt Taylor bowls Marcus Harris for 19. There may have been a little inside edge on that one.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:58 BST 9 September

    Cox lbw Overton 24 (Leics 121-7 v Somerset 363)

Another for Craig Overton and now both set batsmen are gone!

Ben Cox is beaten for pace pressing forward and gets done by another one that nips in. Plumb lbw.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:56 BST 9 September

    Benjamin b Randell 3 (Derbys 300 v Kent 130-6)

Another for Derbyshire and Kent are in trouble again.

Chris Benjamin leaves an aching gap between bat and pad as he presses forward and Brett Randell rips a full ball into middle and off.

    Third wicket for Randell.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:55 BST 9 September

    Woakes c Cooke b van der Gugten 23 (Glamorgan 69 v Warks 333-7)

The new ball works immediately for Glamorgan.

Chris Woakes pushes defensively forward to Timm van der Gugten's third delivery and a thin edge presents keeper Chris Cooke with an easy catch.

  10. Postpublished at 13:54 BST 9 September

    Sussex 158-3 v Surrey

James Coles to bat next and he nearly lofts a catch to point.

The ball lands just short and he's off the mark second ball.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:54 BST 9 September

    Carter c & b Fisher 59 - Sussex 157-3 v Surrey

    What a catch!

Oli Carter had moved to 59 with a four crunched through cover on the front foot.

Two balls later he's driven a full ball from Matt Fisher, who takes a low catch on his follow through.

That was almost off his bootlaces.

What a grab, tumbling but hanging on.

  12. new ball

New ball at Cardiffpublished at 13:54 BST 9 September

    Glamorgan 69 v Warks 331-6

After two extra overs with the old ball, Glamorgan decide it is now time to take a new one and Timm van der Gugten will return to the attack.

Warwickshire already lead by 264 but will certainly want to add another batting point or two.

Every single point could be priceless in their title battle with Somerset and Nottinghamshire.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:53 BST 9 September

    Weatherley lbw Stone 25 (Notts 377 v Hampshire 141-4)

Joe Weatherley leaves that one from Olly Stone - and it's not the right decision as he's out without playing a shot.

Stone makes the breakthrough and ends the partnership with Jake Lehmann.

Weatherley leaves his bat up in the air and as the ball nips back he, perhaps subconsciously, moves his leg out a little and it hits his pads and he's gone.

There wasn't much bounce there and the Hampshire man might count himself a little unlucky.

  14. Postpublished at 13:50 BST 9 September

    Yorkshire 350-7 v Essex

Yorkshire reach the 350-mark and a third batting point in the 108th over via a leg side ball from Shane Snater, tucked away fine by Dom Bess.

    Bess is on 58.

  15. 50 runs

for Saif Zaibpublished at 13:49 BST 9 September

    Worcs 200 v Northants 135-4

    Saif ZaibImage source, Getty Images

Runs have been harder to come by this summer, compared to last, for Saif Zaib, but he flicks a ball from Tom Taylor for a couple and reaches 50 from 66 balls faced. James Sales, at the other end, is 17 not out.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:48 BST 9 September

    Kelly lbw b Overton 39 (Leics 114-6 v Somerset 363)

A decent little period for Leicestershire since lunch but now they lose Nick Kelly.

Craig Overton nips one in from round the wicket and catches him in the crease.

  17. Postpublished at 13:48 BST 9 September

    Glamorgan 69 v Warks 321-6

Kiran Carlson continues with the old ball and Chris Woakes clips it aerially past a diving mid-wicket for four runs.

The next ball is tossed up outside off stump and Woakes drives to the extra cover bnoundary, this time all along the floor.

  18. 50 runs

50 for Oli Carterpublished at 13:48 BST 9 September

    Sussex 152-2 v Surrey

50 off 52 balls - and what a way to get there.

He gets a leg side ball from Tom Lawes and lofts it with ease over square... for six!

Seven fours in that innings also.

This is his second championship match of the summer and his first 50 of the season.

  19. Division Two updatepublished at 13:46 BST 9 September

We are back in business at Old Trafford following that brief rain interruption and Lancashire have moved on to 34-3 following a boundary to square leg by Marcus Harris off Matt Taylor.

The Aussie is 18 not out against Gloucestershire, who were earlier bowled out for 212.

Saif Zaib is just two runs short of 50 for Northants, who are 131-4 in the 44th over against Worcestershire at New Road.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:46 BST 9 September

    Muyeye lbw b Randell 34 (Derbys 300 v Kent 120-5)

Big wicket for Derbyshire after lunch as Tawenda Muyeye falls.

He plays all around a straight, full delivery from Brett Randell and almost walks before seeing the finger raised for lbw.
