  1. Eng 12-0published at 3.5 overs

Ben Duckett is offering a mixed bag early on.

First he gets an inside edge for four through the leg side and then he has another swipe outside off. "Duckett's definitely trying to hit the ball too hard," Aggers muses.

He follows by cutting for four.

Three times this over Emilio Gay has looked a bit ungainly.

  3. Eng 3-0published at 3 overs

Emilio Gay takes one on the body and is still searching for his first run after 10 deliveries. We have seen previously he doesn't mind grinding it out.

After driving two, Ben Duckett has a big swing at a wider ball from Mohammad Ali. He gets away with it as the ball reaches Ghazi Ghori by his bootlaces without taking an edge.

I wonder whether Emilio Gay is feeling nervous at the other end. He's the batter most in need of a score in his final Test of his first international summer.

You can only beat what's in front of you and whilst stiffer challenges await, England are being utterly ruthless. As for Pakistan, a rebuild doesn't come close to covering what they need.

  6. Eng 1-0published at 1 over

Pakistan's new wicketkeeper Ghazi Ghori is stood back early on here. How long until he comes up to the stumps? Not long, I hope.

  7. Eng 1-0published at 0.2 overs

Ben Duckett is away with a nudge into the off side as the Hollies mumbles its way through Jerusalem. They're yet to get revved up.

  8. Eng 0-0published at 14:50 BST 9 September

Here come Ben Duckett and Emilio Gay.

Skies are still grey and pitch has offered a little bit.

Muhammad Abbas is going to open up.

You know if you can nullify Muhammad Abbas then there's the chance for a big score because the rest of the bowlers are inexperienced.

The series is already won, and this Test probably will be too, but there are still England batters with things to play for here. Plenty of them need runs for different reasons.

Ben Duckett has been on a quiet run, Emilio Gay needs to prove himself and Jordan Cox could force the selectors' hands with a big score.

Then there's Joe Root on his run of lbw dismissals and Dan Lawrence - another who is trying to lock down a place for the tour of South Africa. Jamie Smith hasn't made a Test century for more than 12 months either.

When the highest partnership is your last partnership you know you're in trouble. England have been excellent and you expect that from this quartet in these conditions against this kind of line-up.

Being ruthless is so important, so now it's all about the batters. It's a good pitch and there should be plenty of runs out there.

Can they be ruthless with the bat and go and get a big score? They will be thinking about batting once. If they want to be an outstanding side they have to train their brain to go get over 450. Don't just get 300/350 which will be enough to win this game. That's the challenge for this England side.

Never did I think we’d get to a point where haircuts depended on Pakistan getting to 150 or Man United winning five games in a row.

Pakistan lasted three hours of cricket. Just 33.4 overs. They lost seven wickets in the morning session and then three after lunch.

Now attention turns to England's batters.

That's the Pakistan innings over. Jofra Archer cleans up but not before Muhammad Abbas provided us with some entertainment.

Complete disarray for Pakistan. They have capitulated in this innings and it's now over to their bowlers.

All over. Muhammad Abbas put up a bit of a fight in the end but he falls backing away and edging to slip. It means Jofra Archer finishes with three wickets.

For Pakistan it concludes their misery.

  16. Pak 130-9published at 33 overs

I did not expect to be talking about James II today.

    Pakistan have survived another over.

Chris (14:21), you seem to be ignoring the touring Dutch in 1688 when the English skipper, James II couldn't raise a side.

Runs! Two boundaries in a row to Muhammad Abbas who is up to 21. This 10th-wicket partnership is now the highest of the innings as well as the longest.

There's a man in the crowd who has a sign that reads 'If Pakistan make 150 I'll shave my head'.

    They're edging closer.
