    Ghori lbw b Tongue 4 (Pak 64-6)

    Yep, that's plumb.

Josh Tongue gets his man this time and, while he hit a boundary first ball, Ghazi Ghori's first Test innings is a short one.

Another quick delivery, full and beats Ghori for pace. It hits him on the back leg and was going on to hit the top of middle, according to ball-tracking.

That's going to be out. Trapped in his crease. He's asking his partner about whether he can review it but all I can say is please don't. It's knocking all three out.

Oh, he's reviewed it. This looked absolutely plumb.

  3. Pakistan reviewpublished at 16.5 overs

    Pak 64-6

That one might be out though!

Josh Tongue hits Ghazi Ghori on the pad again and this time umpire Gaffaney raises the finger.

Reviewed but this just looks out.

  4. Not outpublished at 16.3 overs

    Pak 64-5

Aggers is spot on, as is umpire Gaffaney. Nipping down leg.

Ghazi Ghori survives and England lose a review.

My inclination is that is missing leg but we'll see.

  6. England reviewpublished at 16.3 overs

    Pak 64-5

Four first ball but is Ghazi Ghori gone after his third?

England think so as Josh Tongue raps him on the front pad. Given not out but reviewed.

Pakistan have done something that no team has ever done in a Test match in England before - not in a good way - their top five all out for single figures.

It's the 12th time a team's top five have been out for single figures but it's always been in the second innings. It's the first time it's happened in the first innings.

  8. Pak 64-5published at 16.1 overs

Too short and a little wide from Josh Tongue... and Ghazi Ghori uppercuts his first ball in Test cricket for four!

    That'll settle the nerves.

  9. Pak 60-5published at 16 overs

Another glorious cover drive from Saud Shakeel, just easing through ball through extra cover.

There have been a few such shots and, if anything, it makes the situation Pakistan find themselves in look even worse because this is clearly a pretty decent pitch.

Saud goes again next ball, much looser this time, and he's fortunate that the inside edge whistles just past leg stump. Four more, though.

A third boundary follows later in the over and this is another lovely shot, middled through the covers.

Babar Azam didn't look comfortable at all right from the start but he has had a lot on his mind, I guess.

That was fast and furious from Josh Tongue. He's cleaned up the Pakistan captain.

They have no answers to England's bowlers today and it's looking like a procession.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 15 overs

    Babar b Tongue 7 (Pak 48-5)

    Comprehensively bowled!

Superb from Josh Tongue and he ends his first over with a wicket.

Full, fast and angling in to cannon into the top of off. Quite what Babar Azam is doing, I'm not sure.

The Pakistan seamer seems to be playing back to it, is beaten for pace and gets nowhere near it.

  13. Pak 47-4published at 14.2 overs

    Top shot.

Saud Shakeel gets up on top of the bounce to drill the ball, just in front of square, through the off side for four.

As a Pakistan fan, I would have to say the downfall of Pakistan cricket is only beginning especially under the current PCB being run by a man with no time to actually follow and take care of the sport in the country itself. Sad sad times.

Another catch goes down - and Gus Atkinson's luck hasn't turned yet.

A hint of width from the seamer, Saud Shakeel throws his bat at it and gets a healthy nick.

It goes quickly and high, Ben Duckett gets a hand to it at first slip but it doesn't stick.

A second drop of the morning for Duckett. That was a tougher chance than the first, though.

With the growing trend of keepers standing up to seamers, and hence the risk of more byes vs potential of more wickets, will "minimise byes" cease to be a measure of a keeper's performance?

  17. Pak 37-4published at 13 overs

A rare short ball from Ollie Robinson but he's not got the pace to trouble Saud Shakeel, who pulls it through square leg.

Good fielding in the deep prevents the boundary and Robinson goes back to the fuller balls that have served him so well. A couple of nice away swingers to end the over.

  18. Pak 35-4published at 12.1 overs

Ollie Robinson continues and immediately challenges Saud Shakeel's front pad. It was ever thus...

The rain got heavier during the drinks break, the covers were called on... but got only halfway on before it stopped and the umpires sent them back.

Good news. Play will continue as scheduled.

Pakistan could use the breather. England have been all over them.
