If I'm going to be critical, England have let the pressure off Papua New Guinea one too many times for Brian McDermott's liking.

  2. England 22-0 Papua New Guinea

Junior Nsemba nearly rips the shirt off a PNG player, and is penalised for a high tackle.

A little bit of frustration seeping in for England.

Doing well but just need to calm down a little.

  4. England 22-0 Papua New Guinea

George Williams tries to find Matty Ashton with a chip kick, but it is caught by the PNG player and Ashton is penalised for a tackle in the air.

  5. Robbie Hunter-Paul
Former New Zealand international on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

England's three-man tackles have really controlled Papua New Guinea's play of the balls.

  6. England 22-0 Papua New Guinea

An absolute spiraler of a kick from PNG, AJ Brimson allows it to bounce out of play.

The kind of kicks receiving full backs have nightmares about.

  7. Robbie Hunter-Paul
Former New Zealand international on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Dom Young got up, walking back like he'd got it down. But he was about four inches short of the tryline.

That's a get out of jail free card for Papua New Guinea.

  8. England 22-0 Papua New Guinea

Junior Nsemba shows why he is so highly rated with a thundering line break, he is held back just before the line.

England try again down the right, Dom Young thinks he has grounded - but it is just short of the line.

Another near miss, they are adding up for England.

  9. England 22-0 Papua New Guinea

Morgan Knowles tries a reverse pass that deceived everyone, including his own team mates.

Bemusement all round in the England ranks.

  10. England 22-0 Papua New Guinea

Urgh, Max King tries to offload too quickly under the posts and the ball flops away.

    Another good England chance lost.

The forwards have been so strong for England. Max King and Luke Thompson had an incredible opening 25 minutes. They've done their job and kept the Papua New Guinea pack having to make more and more tackles.

  12. England 22-0 Papua New Guinea

AJ Brimson with another great take under pressure, launching another England attack.

Brimson is taken down with a rather high looking tackle, to roars from the crowd.

England continue, and get a penalty for a PNG offside.

Don't we all love a player with initials. Go AJ!

  14. England 22-0 Papua New Guinea

PNG with a rare foray forwards, held up just short of the England line.

England will need to defend well to give themselves the best chance of racking up a big winning margin.

  15. England 22-0 Papua New Guinea

Where was this England performance against Tonga?

That is the frustrating thing. A Samoa win on Sunday and all this is for naught.

  16. Robbie Hunter-Paul
Former New Zealand international on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Kai Pearce-Paul running through time and time again. He gets a one-on-one with the opposition. You stay alive as a half-back as Harry Smith does, and right-foot side-step and he's in under the posts.

Where England are going really well, they're carrying the ball and not going to ground, keeping it alive and bouncing out of tackles.

  17. Matt Newsum
Commentator on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Pearce-Paul just flicks passes out for fun! England profit and it's another try in the bank. 20 up with 20 gone.

CONVERTED TRY - England 22-0 Papua New Guinea

    Harry Smith (22 mins)

    Lovely stuff!

This time England dodge through the middle and Harry Smith scores under the posts with a lovely jink inside following a good offload by Kai Pearce-Paul.

    Hugo Savala adds two.

  19. England 16-0 Papua New Guinea

16 points scored in the first quarter. If they keep this pace up, they will score 64 points tonight.

    Pretty much on target, then.

A beautifully worked try! Three tries to the good in the first quarter.
