The sting has gone from England. We've seen 10 minutes of the Kumuls throwing everything they've got at England.

It will be interesting to see when Brian McDermott thinks about getting that starting front row of Luke Thompson and Max King back on.

The Kumuls are always going to have their say. The passion they play with, they will never go away. England wanted them to come out and throw the towel in. It's not what Papua New Guinea are about.

They're playing with intensity, doing good numbers, Voro gets the opportunity, sniffs half a gap and takes it on.

During the build up to that try, England's Kai Pearce-Paul inadvertently tackled his own captain, George Williams.

That sums up England's World Cup so far.

England don't need to pass their way out of trouble. They've got powerful enough players to cause havoc in the middle of the park with strong carries. That's what we talk about with earning the right. You do the tough stuff first before passing the ball.

PNG have the blow torch on England! Gairo Voro steams through and scores.

The Kumuls are wide awake and causing England plenty of problems.

    Gairo Voro (50 mins)

    PNG smell blood.

Robbie Darby nearly jinks through on the right, but while England get away with that one they concede another set to the Kumuls.

And PNG take full advantage as they go back the other way and Gairo Voro powers through.

Converted, and England's half time lead has been cut in half.

Psychologically, Papua New Guinea they don't stop. They live and die for this sport. What England need to do is return it to being an energy battle.

England have lost momentum since coming out after half-time.

Kai Pearce-Paul brilliantly drives forward, the ball goes to the left - and Junior Nsemba fumbles.

England are rushing, flustered and so error-prone.

Will that jolt England back into life?

An excellent first 20 minutes has given way to nerves and mistakes.

Hangs that kick up. Dom Young stands there and he's been robbed by Dudley Dotoi. Young almost looked at the opposition and thought this is mine. Dotoi had other ideas! PNG are in.

This is what happens if you allow the opposition to come back in.

Dotoi does a great job in the air, climbs above him and catches it in two hands.

    Dudley Dotoi (47 mins)

    Big setback for England.

High kick from Gairo Voro, Dudley Dotoi sneaks the ball ahead of the England player and thinks he has grounded.

Did Hugo Savala get a boot under the ball? Was Dotoi offside?

    No, and no. Try confirmed.

And it is superbly converted by captain Rhyse Martin.

A chance for England as PNG knock on after a high kick, but they use their captain's challenge on that decision.

And it is successful, as Herbie Farnworth is adjudged to have interfered from an offside position.

A word for the England fans, many of who have travelled across the world to support their team in Australia. They have been great throughout the World Cup and there is a buzzing atmosphere in Wollongong.

Can they roar England to the big win they need?

It's a really good take but I can't see that ball being grounded. That should be held up. Robert Derby got up well.

PNG are the first ones on the attack in this second half.

A great cross pitch ball for Robert Derby who catches, but cannot ground the ball.
