  1. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 21:29 BST 1 September

    Stoke 1-0 Norwich

Stoke defender Luke Graham goes down on the edge of the box as he runs to try and get onto a free-kick swung in from deep.

It's right on the edge of the box but nothing doing. He didn't make too much of it at the time, but replays suggest he had a good case.

No VAR in the Championship still. Enjoy it, folks.

  2. goal

GOAL: Preston 1-3 Bristol Citypublished at 21:27 BST 1 September

    Dom Ballard (86 mins)

    Game over?

Dom Ballard has his second goal of the season and Bristol City have their third of the night.

The former Leyton Orient man makes the most of defensive indecision to nip in and go round the keeper before sliding a shot into an empty net.

Looks like a fourth straight loss to start the season for Preston.

  3. Postpublished at 21:26 BST 1 September

    Sheff Utd 2-2 Bolton

The away side are pushing for a winner here.

Michael Cooper has to be alert to keep out efforts from Josh Sheehan and Sam Dalby in quick succession.

  4. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:25 BST 1 September

    Swansea 2-0 Watford

What a stop from Watford goalkeeper Federico Ravaglia, diving low to his right to turn a powerful drive from Swansea sub Melker Widell around the post.

He needed a strong right hand there.

Widell has looked lively since coming on.

  5. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:25 BST 1 September

    Stoke 1-0 Norwich

Jose Cordoba is a lucky boy.

The big Colombian defender loses possession and dives in on debutant Luca Bombino, who is off the bench for the Potters, in a frustrated attempt to win it back.

It's only a yellow card, but having gone airborne and with a slightly high boot, he can count himself lucky.

It's getting tetchy in this second half with Ethan Galbraith of Stoke and Norwich's Kenny McLean also having their name taken, in addition to Bosun Lawal of the hosts.

  6. 'Blues looking sharp'published at 21:23 BST 1 September

    Birmingham 1-1 Southampton

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

Chris Davies is not looking to make a change because he's enjoying what he's seeing.

It's been a good second half from Blues, they have looked very sharp.

  7. goal

GOAL: Preston 1-2 Bristol Citypublished at 21:21 BST 1 September

    Lisav Eissat (79 mins)

The away side back in front!

Lisav Eissat has his first goal in English football with a header from Rio Cardines' clipped free-kick.

  8. Postpublished at 21:20 BST 1 September

    Lincoln 0-0 Blackburn

BIG chance for the home side but Tanto Olaofe drags his effort wide.

Blackburn need a striker and a central defender and quick

    Anthony, Blackburn

We have known for a long time that our defence needs improving. Fosun promised a reaction. Nothing has come. No signings. After three and a bit games, Wolves have conceded eight and counting.

    Jon, West Malling

  10. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:19 BST 1 September

    Sheff Utd 2-2 Bolton

How on earth has this not gone in?!

John McAtee's header is tipped on to the bar by Michael Cooper in the home goal and the ball then bounces down and hits the keeper on the head and bounces away.

  11. Pompey fans boo Bishop for Milovanovic changepublished at 21:19 BST 1 September

    Portsmouth 0-2 Derby

    Dan George
BBC Sport England at Fratton Park

The Portsmouth fans are growing really frustrated inside Fratton Park, on their feet as defender Madiodio Dia just lashed an effort high over the bar and into the Fratton End.

Colby Bishop was brought on for Marko Milovanovic moments ago, a change that was loudly booed by a large section of the home support.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:18 BST 1 September

    Portsmouth 0-2 Derby

John Mousinho wasted little time in ringing the changes after Lars-Jorgen Salvesen's second goal for Derby, bringing on Brooke-Smith and Bishop.

The Pompey boss will be scratching his head wondering how this one has got away from him.

Portsmouth have had 17 shots to Derby's five, albeit only two have hit the target.

Derby boss John Eustace won't be complaining though, after his side's heavy defeat at home by Swansea they have responded well here and been pretty clinical in front of goal.

  13. Postpublished at 21:17 BST 1 September

    Lincoln 0-0 Blackburn

Lincoln haven't been involved in a 0-0 league game since 28 October last year.

Ryoya Morishita forces George Wickens in the home goal into a decent stop as the 10-man visitors push for the opener.

  14. 'Still time left for Wolves'published at 21:15 BST 1 September

    West Ham 4-2 Wolves

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

At 4-2, there's still a lot of time left for Wolves. It's a nice feeling but a fleeting one unless someone puts a seed of doubt into the mind.

  15. goal

GOAL: Birmingham 1-1 Southamptonpublished at 21:14 BST 1 September

    August Priske (55 mins)

August Priske celebrates equalising for Birmingham against SouthamptonImage source, PA Media

    This is definitely game on.

Patrick Roberts has been excellent tonight and almost scored the leveller after a mazy run not long ago, only being denied by Daniel Peretz.

He's now turned provider, however, curling in a cross from the right which is thumped into the net by the head of August Priske.

Next 35 minutes should be something...

  16. goal

GOAL: West Ham 4-2 Wolvespublished at 21:12 BST 1 September

    Konstantinos Mavropanos (70 mins)

    Game on?

New arrival Jordan James darts to the near post to meet a cross from the right from Jackson Tchatchoua and tries to get a toe on the ball, which eventually finds the net off the unfortunate Konstaninos Mavropanos, who has now scored at both ends in the space of six minutes.

This game is living up to the billing.

  17. goal

GOAL: Sheff Utd 2-2 Boltonpublished at 21:12 BST 1 September

    Patrick Bamford (68 mins)

Bolton's lead this half lasts even less time than their one in the first half did!

One-time England man Patrick Bamford has his first league goal of the season from Sam McCallum's pass across goal.

  18. CLOSE!published at 21:12 BST 1 September

    Stoke 1-0 Norwich

Bosun Lawal has gone into the book for the hosts after a red-mist shove following a coming together.

Down the other end George Hirst has been denied a second for the hosts by a superb sliding block from Ruari McConville.

  19. RED CARD: Tom Atcheson (Blackburn)published at 21:11 BST 1 September

    Lincoln 0-0 Blackburn

The away side are going to have to do this the hard way now.

Two yellows makes one red for Rovers defender Tom Atcheson.

  20. 'Perfection from West Ham'published at 21:10 BST 1 September

    West Ham 4-1 Wolves

    Paul Parker
Ex-QPR and Manchester United defender on BBC Radio London

West Ham have just been clinical.

They started the second half positive and they took the game to Wolves. They didn't let them get their passes together.

It's been perfection from West Ham in this half.
