  1. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:47 BST 1 September

    Birmingham 1-1 Southampton

James Ward-Prowse taking free-kicks for Southampton.

    What year is it again?

The returning midfielder lines-up a trademark 20-yard curler and whips his effort past the wall but it's a good save from Blues keeper James Beadle, who shovels the ball away to his right, with James Bree's ambitious follow-up from an acute angle only hitting the side-netting.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:46 BST 1 September

    Stoke 1-0 Norwich

Jacob Wright is on for Norwich in place of Pelle Mattsson for the final five minutes of normal time and extra-time.

  3. Boos at Fratton Parkpublished at 21:44 BST 1 September

    FT: Portsmouth 0-2 Derby

    Dan George
BBC Sport England at Fratton Park

Boos ring out from the home support as the referee blows for full-time.

The Derby fans to my right have absolutely loved this performance and are making a great noise as the players head over to celebrate with them.

  4. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:44 BST 1 September

    Portsmouth 0-2 Derby

Derby County punished a wasteful Portsmouth performance with a clinical display of their own to claim a first win of the season.

Pompey enjoyed almost 65% of possession and had 21 shots on goal but only found the target with two of them.

John Eustace's Derby side, meanwhile, put five of their eight shots on target and scored twice.

Sam Szmodics managed to squeeze a first-half effort past unfortunate Pompey keeper Daniel Bielica - who was given a surprise start. And second-half sub Lars-Jorgen Salvesen produced a stunning strike for his first goal of the season to settle it.

Victory hauls pre-season play-off hopefuls Derby up to 15th, while Pompey slip to 19th after a third defeat of the campaign and second in as many games at Fratton Park.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 21:43 BST 1 September

    Birmingham 1-1 Southampton

Lewis Dobbin has come on in place of Leo Scienza for the visitors as they seek to conjure up a winner.

The impressive Patrick Roberts made way for Demarai Gray not long ago for the hosts.

  6. CLOSE!published at 21:42 BST 1 September

    Birmingham 1-1 Southampton

It might be September now but it's still August at St Andrew's.

Priske drops deep to collect a low pass from the left and turns on a sixpence before lashing a curling shot inches over Daniel Peretz's bar from the edge of the box.

  7. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 21:39 BST 1 September

    Birmingham 1-1 Southampton

Kuryu Matsuki thought he had put the Saints back ahead with a fine left-footed finish from an angle following a free-kick but the goal is disallowed as he had strayed offside.

  8. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:38 BST 1 September

    West Ham 4-2 Wolves

West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo applauds during their game against WolvesImage source, PA Media

It's not too often a game lives up to the billing. This one did.

West Ham are up and running, Wolves taste defeat for the first time this season.

Divine Mukasa's thunderbolt put them ahead on 33 minutes and Jarrod Bowen slotted home a penalty, before Marshall Munetsi halved the deficit before the break.

Mukasa's deflected second after the break and Konstantinos Mavropanos' thunderous finish off the bar looked to have made the game safe, though the defender also turned in a low cross to give Wolves hope in the closing stages,

  9. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:38 BST 1 September

    Sheff Utd 3-2 Bolton

Romelle Donovan is the hero as Sheffield United steal the points in the final minute.

GREAT game at Bramall Lane under the lights.

The home side fell behind in the first 30 seconds before equalising after four minutes.

Wanderers retook the lead after the break through Sam Dalby but that last all of about 90 seconds before Patrick Bamford made it 2-2.

The away side had much the better of it thereafter but in the final moments Brentford loanee Donovan hammered a winning goal.

First league win of the season for the unbeaten Blades after three draws.

  10. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:37 BST 1 September

    Lincoln 0-0 Blackburn

A first 0-0 draw for Lincoln City in the league since 28 October last year.

Tom Atcheson saw red for the visitors with just over 20 minutes to go but the visitors justly held out.

  11. FULL-TIME - Swans go toppublished at 21:37 BST 1 September

    Swansea 2-0 Watford

A classy performance from Swansea has sent them top, until tomorrow at least, when second-placed Charlton Athletic play their game in hand.

First-half goals from the impressive Eom Ji-Sung - his second in as many games - and Swans striker Adam Idah proved enough for Vitor Matos's side to register a third win in four games and remain unbeaten.

Watford had their chances to put the home side under more pressure, but they leave their own unbeaten record behind in south Wales.

  12. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:36 BST 1 September

    Preston 1-3 Bristol City

Four defeats from four to start the league season for struggling Preston.

Bristol City make it back-to-back wins.

  13. goal

GOAL: Sheff Utd 3-2 Boltonpublished at 21:36 BST 1 September

    Romelle Donovan (90+2 mins)

    WOW!!!

The home side went behind in the first minute and now they look to have won it in the last!

Romelle Donovan charges forward down the left and then lashes a shot in at the near post.

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:36 BST 1 September

    Stoke 1-0 Norwich

Viktor Johansson with another good save for Stoke as he turns Kenny McLean's long-range strike round the upright in the bottom corner after a slight nick off a defender on the way.

  15. Postpublished at 21:32 BST 1 September

    West Ham 4-2 Wolves

    Tick, tick, tick.

West Ham have a couple of minutes of normal time to negotiate, plus whatever added time we get.

A first win is so close they can almost touch it.

Though neither of these sides are strangers to late drama this season.

  16. INJURY TIMEpublished at 21:32 BST 1 September

    Lincoln 0-0 Blackburn

Into a minimum of four minutes of time added on as Conor McGrandles hits a shot over the bar for the home side.

Can the 10-man visitors hold out for a point.

  17. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:31 BST 1 September

    Stoke 1-0 Norwich

What a fine fingertip save from Vlad Kovacevic to deny Luca Bombino, whose signing from San Diego was only announced earlier today, as the American curled a lovely left-footed effort in from just outside the box.

San Diego to Stoke as autumn kicks in. I'm saying nothing...

  18. Postpublished at 21:30 BST 1 September

    Sheff Utd 2-2 Bolton

The home side are totally on the ropes here.

Aston Villa loanee Samuel Iling-Junior is the latest to keep Michael Cooper in the home goal honest.

  19. 'A mixed performance from Wolves'published at 21:30 BST 1 September

    West Ham 4-2 Wolves

There's a lot of positivity about Wolves tonight despite that they've conceded four.

They haven't played badly. There have been bad mistakes, but there have been some good performances as well. It's been a mixed performance.

West Ham will be up there and if Wolves are to be there too, then there has to be fewer mistakes.

  20. Pompey signing Mohamed makes his debutpublished at 21:29 BST 1 September

    Portsmouth 0-2 Derby

This one looks to have gone, but Pompey fans are at least being given the chance to welcome new midfielder Iyad Mohamed.

The 25-year-old Comoros international signed on a three-year deal last week from Portuguese side Casa Pia for an undisclosed fee.
