  1. Postpublished at 13:03 BST 22 August

    Millwall 1-0 Norwich

You say all that and then Norwich do fashion a chance.

Andre Brooks is wasteful and blazes his effort wide from inside the 18-yard box.

  2. goal

GOAL: Birmingham 0-1 Bristol Citypublished at 13:03 BST 22 August

    Scott Twine (33 mins)

You could say it's been coming...

The Robins win a free-kick on halfway and the ball is launched into the Blues box by Jed Wallace where Rob Dickie wins the header and the ball drops to Scott Twine whose initial shot is blocked but in a scramble he fires a low effort past James Beadle and into the net to put the visitors ahead.

  3. Postpublished at 13:02 BST 22 August

    Millwall 1-0 Norwich

How do Norwich get back into this?

They have rarely threatened and look vulnerable every time Millwall get forward.

The positive for the Canaries is they are only one goal behind - not for the want of trying from the home side who have hit the post and had one chalked off for offside.

  4. 'City look miles better'published at 13:02 BST 22 August

    Birmingham 0-0 Bristol C

    Gary Owers
Former Sunderland & Bristol City midfielder on BBC Radio Bristol

Bristol City look miles better than they have done so far this season. They are putting doubts into the minds of the Birmingham defenders.

  5. goal

GOAL: Lincoln 1-2 Portsmouthpublished at 13:02 BST 22 August

    Reeco Hackett (penalty) (32 mins)

The home side are back in it!

    Pressure, what pressure?

Reeco Hackett thumps his penalty high to the goalkeeper's left.

    Game on!

  6. PENALTY: LINCOLNpublished at 13:01 BST 22 August

    Lincoln 0-2 Portsmouth

Handball from Zak Swanson and the home side have a penalty!

Adam Reach's shot bounces into the turf and then strikes the full-back's outstretched arm.

He can't believe it but does look the right call to me.

  7. CLOSE!published at 13:01 BST 22 August

    Birmingham 0-0 Bristol City

    Best chance of the game.

Rio Cardines' corner from the Robins' left is too deep but is worked back in from the right of the box only for Lorent Tolaj to get his header all wrong at the back stick and loop the ball over James Beadle's bar from six yards out.

    Got to do better, there.

  8. 'One goal would change everything'published at 13:00 BST 22 August

    Lincoln 0-2 Portsmouth

    Toni McHamilton
Former Lincoln City Women Captain on BBC Radio Lincolnshire

It feels like a long way back for Lincoln at the moment, but you feel like one goal would change everything.

  9. Postpublished at 12:59 BST 22 August

    Birmingham 0-0 Bristol City

Yu Hirakawa embarks on a mazy run forward as Bristol City turn the ball over but the recovering Bright Osayi-Samuel does brilliantly to pinch the ball back in the box.

Good spell from the visitors, though, and they have won their first corner.

  10. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 12:57 BST 22 August

    Milwall 1-0 Norwich

Straight from the free kick Norwich are lucky to escape conceding a second goal.

Millwall skipper Jake Cooper thumps a header into the net but is inches (maybe an inch) offside.

  11. Postpublished at 12:57 BST 22 August

    Lincoln 0-2 Portsmouth

Lincoln win a corner wide on their right but Reeco Hackett's ball into the middle is easy for Nico Schmid in the Pompey goal.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 12:56 BST 22 August

    Millwall 1-0 Norwich

Josh Coburn is hauled down as he gets beyond his defender.

Jose Cordoba pleads his case but earns the game's first yellow card.

  13. Postpublished at 12:56 BST 22 August

    Birmingham 0-0 Bristol City

Rio Cardines whips in a dangerous free-kick from the Robins left flank and Rob Dickie arches his neck to get his head on the ball but it loops up and away from target.

Pretty scrappy stuff still, and every set-piece is turning into a Royal Rumble.

  14. Postpublished at 12:55 BST 22 August

    Birmingham 0-0 Bristol City

Blues keeper James Beadle races out of his box to head clear a bouncing ball under pressure from Lorent Tolaj but Yu Hirakawa can't latch onto the loose ball 40 yards out and the glimmer of a chance is gone.

  15. Postpublished at 12:54 BST 22 August

    Lincoln 0-2 Portsmouth

Whatever happens this season Lincoln will have chances in games because they are so dangerous from long throws and corners.

One of the former leads to one of the latter and defender Deji Elerewe almost heads them back into the match.

  16. 'First goal is going to be huge'published at 12:54 BST 22 August

    Birmingham 0-0 Bristol City

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

You can't read too much into the early games but the visitors are certainly playing to a higher standard than they have been previously.

You really get the feeling that the first goal is going to be huge.

  17. Postpublished at 12:52 BST 22 August

    Millwall 1-0 Norwich

Wow, almost a second for Millwall.

Norwich fail to deal with a corner and when Jake Cooper nods it down, Caleb Taylor's back heel is deflected over the bar.

Norwich are wobbling under intense pressure.

  18. Postpublished at 12:51 BST 22 August

    Lincoln 0-2 Portsmouth

    Lincoln v PortsmouthImage source, Shutterstock

Lincoln City haven't found themselves 2-0 down in a game since 17 March when they came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Huddersfield.

The last time they trailed 2-0 in a home game was against Wrexham on the final day of the 2024-25 season.

  19. Postpublished at 12:51 BST 22 August

    Birmingham 0-0 Bristol City

Ref Will Finnie is having to lay down the law in the penalty area before Birmingham set-pieces as some of the big-guns on show are getting very handsy indeed.

Sam Tickle comes off his line to get two hands on the latest Alex Cochrane corner and though he can't hold on cleanly, his defence bail him out.

  20. CLOSE!published at 12:49 BST 22 August

    Birmingham 0-0 Bristol City

Bright Osayi-Samuel pounces on a tame clearance just outside the Robins box and whips a curling shot with his weaker left peg which flashes half a yard past Sam Tickle's right post with the keeper at full stretch.

    Good effort.
