    Oooooh.

As close as Everton have come to finding a goal. Lovely run down the left by Tyrique George but Thierno Barry's header is parried away by Antonin Kinsky.

The Toffees forward should perhaps do better.

Mateus Fernandes has a go from outside the area but it's gathered by Jordan Pickford.

Ironic cheers from the crowd as they applaud their first genuine shot on target. That earlier Andy Robertson cross-come-shot also counted as a shot on target but it wasn't a particularly clear one.

  4. 'Delivery into the box hasn't been great for Spurs'published at 18:33 BST 12 September

    Tottenham 0-0 Everton

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Chelsea and Fulham goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

So far the delivery into the box hasn't been up to scratch for Spurs. They've been in really good positions. Savio I've mentioned a few times has been in really good positions on that right hand side, great turn of pace, great control. That finally delivery, the lay off hasn't been quite good enough.

  6. 'We deserved a point'published at 18:32 BST 12 September

FT: Crystal Palace 2-3 Ipswich Town

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Pierre Sage, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "It's difficult when you play 10 v 11 - but I think we did well with that because we reorganised in a 5-3-1 and we didn't allow them too much space. We made a mistake before half-time. In the end we came back in the game by playing and being together. We had the opportunity to make it 3-2 and we missed. I am frustrated for the players because they gave a lot and deserved at least a point."

  7. 'Plenty of positives'published at 18:31 BST 12 September

FT: Crystal Palace 2-3 Ipswich Town

    Ipswich Town

Ipswich Town manager Gary O'Neil, speaking to Sky Sports: "I'm pleased for the players and the fanbase. It is tough to win away from home in the Premier League is a newly-promoted side. We've done it after the second away game of the season. Fantastic character, three good goals and we look like a threat. Plenty of positives. There is lots we need to improve but in terms of character, there was some big pluses."

Villa to go down? They have brought and spend their money horribly. They replaced those players who have left with average or unproven players. Think they'll be in a relegation battle this season.

    Sul, Birmingham

Forest benefited today thanks to an abysmal tackle that injures a Villa player which resulted in a yellow card. You can’t have a situation where injuring an opponent benefited you.

FT: Aston Villa 1-2 Nottingham Forest

    Aston Villa

Aston Villa goalkeeper Zion Suzuki: "It's tough to take. Overall we dominated the game. The second half was completely different and our approach was not good. It's a disappointing result."

  10. 'I made a great decision to come to Forest'published at 18:29 BST 12 September

FT: Aston Villa 1-2 Nottingham Forest

    Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest forward Liam Delap, speaking to BBC Sport: "It's always nice to score, especially finishes like that. We know Villa play a really high line. I have only been here a few weeks but everyone has welcomed me and I have really enjoyed it.

As a young player all you want to do is play. I think I made a great decision to come here and hopefully I can play well. The manager has a very clear plan of how he wants to play. Today, we showed we can execute it."

  11. 'Maybe we need time'published at 18:27 BST 12 September

FT: Aston Villa 1-2 Nottingham Forest

    Aston Villa

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "For me it was really clear, it was a red card [foul on Ian Maatsen]. I watched it after the match. I watched it on TV and it was clear.

"We need passion and to try and keep in balance our expectations.

    "Maybe we need time."

FT: Aston Villa 1-2 Nottingham Forest

    Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest boss Oliver Glasner, speaking to BBC Sport: "I'm really proud of the team's performance and the spirit they showed. We did better after 10 or 15 minutes but we were a little bit impatient in the final third.

"We were too impatient and eager. It was a little bit up and down. In the second half we moved the ball quicker and switched from left to right and we saw the confidence grow.

"Liam Delap's hit didn't surprise me because I see it in training. That's what a striker should do. I feel this goal gave him a lot of confidence because he was a lot more present. It was a top team performance."

  13. 'It was a red card'published at 18:25 BST 12 September

FT: Aston Villa 1-2 Nottingham Forest

    Aston Villa

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery, speaking to Sky Sports: "We played the first half like we planned. We dominated and we were creating as well. We didn't score but we were more or less playing the way we wanted. The second half completely different. I don't know why. Even with the injury to Maatsen, that was a key moment because the tackle was strong. Maybe it could have been an action for VAR. For me watching it again, VAR should be there. For me if I was in the VAR and I was a referee, it was a red card."

  14. 'We can be a very difficult team to beat'published at 18:24 BST 12 September

    FT: Liverpool 0-0 Fulham

    Fulham

Fulham boss Alvaro Arbeloa, talking to BBC Match of the Day: "I'm happy because of the point but also for the performance of my players, in this stadium against a very big team - we're happy.

"After the Crystal Palace game, my players realised where the problem is and we fixed it. Today we were more balanced and played really, really well and we controlled the counter-attacks of Liverpool.

"We played well against Chelsea and Crystal Palace and we lost, but we did many things well and we have to keep doing these things well. Today, against a really good team, we improved and have been working really hard this week.

"I know it's really difficult when you aren't winning games to tell the supporters that we're doing things well and deserve more. We can be a very difficult team to beat. I'm happy to be back at Anfield, a very special stadium for me with these supporters. It was my first time here [since leaving the club] and hopefully I will be back again."

  15. 'We need to find ways of winning games'published at 18:23 BST 12 September

    FT: Liverpool 0-0 Fulham

    Liverpool

Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola, speaking to Sky Sports, said: "Clearly we lack some freshness and didn't have the moments to create and it has cost us. In the second half we improved but all in all it has not been a good performance.

"We have not conceded and the only clear chance [for Fulham] was a mistake from a goalkeeper. Offensively we need to do more. In every game we have been dangerous but we lacked this freshness today.

"We cannot use it as an excuse because this will be the season. We need to find ways of winning games and find moments to score and win these type of games that are close.

"Fulham have been playing well, even if they have not won the games. They have quality players and is a team that is a demanding game."

  16. 'This is how you have to play against big teams'published at 18:22 BST 12 September

    FT: Liverpool 0-0 Fulham

    Fulham

Fulham boss Alvaro Arbeloa, speaking to Sky Sports, said: "It's a very good performance from my players, a very good effort, very good commitment, attitude, character, personality and played very well against a massive team in a very difficult stadium.

"I don't want to talk about the referee as maybe I will be in trouble. We got the point and that's fair. Liverpool are a very good team with top players and it was not so easy for us. The players gave us energy and we had some chances to score but I think the draw is fair. It is not about the system, it is about the mentality and I think they did very well.

"We came here with zero points but we played really well against Crystal Palace but we had to improve and fix something and we did. This is how you have to play against big teams, with that personality and energy."

  17. 'We are not happy at all with the draw'published at 18:21 BST 12 September

    FT: Liverpool 0-0 Fulham

    Liverpool

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson, speaking to Sky Sports, said: "It was a poor performance, sometimes from myself, and collectively we didn't play well. Many things we tried to do we could not do it. We could not press them well in the first half, we spent too much energy trying to press them.

"It's a big challenge [playing] Wednesday night and Saturday and another one on Tuesday. We need to get the right mentality and we didn't do that. With the ball, Fulham have quality and we didn't create as many chances as we would expect, that's the challenge and we have to do better.

"If we want to do something special [this season] we have to cope with playing a game Wednesday, Saturday and then Tuesday. We need to have the right mental state and that was not the case from what we showed. Inside we have it, but we have to just put it out and put more energy on the pitch.

"We are not happy at all with the draw. It is not something that should happen with Liverpool. To be unbeaten, but with three draws, is not something to celebrate too much with this shirt.

"We take the clean sheet but we're not happy at all. We wanted the three points."
