Early League Two leaders Bristol Rovers will hope to consolidate their position in the lunchtime game at Grimsby.

Since a 3-2 defeat to York on the opening day, Rovers are unbeaten and have won their last three under Steve Evans.

The Gas are joint-top scorers in the league with 12 goals but face an unbeaten Grimsby side with a taste for draws this term. Their last four matches have seen the spoils shared.

Potentially concerning for the Mariners, though, is the fact they have conceded two in each of their last three games.

Will that leaky defence be punished today?

  3. Four changes for Crawley; Cheltenham unchangedpublished at 12:11 BST 12 September

Crawley make four changes with Nicolas Michalski, Kellan Gordon, Dion Pereira and Dylan Morgan in for Jackson Izquierdo, Akin Odimayo, Klaudio Krasniqi and Malcolm Ebiowei.

Cheltenham are unchanged from their 2-2 draw with Grimsby, with Andreas Weimann again in attack after he scored from the penalty spot.

Cheltenham will be hoping to make early inroads towards the top of League Two in their early kick-off at struggling Crawley.

Victory could take The Robins up as high as second at least for a few hours, with just one league defeat in their opening five matches.

This one could be a high scorer, with 13 goals from their last three outings alone. They are yet to keep a clean sheet this season.

Crawley sit in 21st with just one win and three defeats from their opening five. They were beaten 3-2 by Accrington last time out.

Bristol Rovers will get the chance to earn another week at the top in their early kick-off against Grimsby Town.

If they don't, Swindon leads the line of pursuers ready to jump in should the Gas fail.

Down in the basement Port Vale look for their first victory in a bid to get off the bottom spot.

"You stay upright and move forward so long as you keep up the momentum."

Former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon might not have been talking specifically about the English Football League when he produced that quote, but he's right, success, or failure, in the EFL is just like riding a bike.

Plenty of teams across the 72 have already found their rhythm in the early stages of this campaign but others are seemingly in desperate need of stabilisers.

Read Alex Hoad's full list of things to look out for in the EFL this weekend here.

Thursday night's showdown against Stevenage and Luton Town had so much to give.

Should Hatters captain Liam Walsh been awarded a free kick before the first goal? Was Josh Magennis offside for the second (spoiler alert - yes!)? Were Stevenage worthy winners?

Relive our live text from the night here and make up your own mind.
