Peterborough manager Robbie Savage names an unchanged side from the one that swept to a 3-1 win at Leicester last Saturday.

Brewers boss Gary Bowyer has made two changes from the side which started the 1-0 defeat at Doncaster.

Centre-halves Toby Sibbick and Harvey Araujo come in for Jack Armer and Will Collar.

The good times appear to be back for Peterborough who have chalked up two wins out of two since Robbie Savage took charge during the international break.

United scored three first-half goals in a fine 3-1 away win at Leicester last weekend - one fewer than they’d managed in their eight previous league games.

The Posh are today chasing back-to-back league wins for the first time since way back in the wintry depths of February as they look to climb away from the relegation places.

Burton have made a solid start to their league campaign and sit 10th, four points better off than their opponents.

Much of that is down to their clinical edge up front, having found the net 14 times in League One this term from a total xG of 8.5. Impressive.

  6. Five changes for Dons, Luton unchangedpublished at 12:24 BST 17 October

MK Dons v Luton (12:30 BST)

MK Dons make five changes from their humbling 5-1 loss to Reading last weekend.

Alex Gilbey is back in the XI to captain the side as Ibrahim Fullah and Sam Silvera make their first league start.

Elijah Campbell returns to the line-up after missing out last week alongside Jack Sanders.

Curtis Nelson doesn't make the squad but Dan Barlaser, Gethin Jones, Ben Wiles and Cohen Bramall are available from the bench.

Luton, meanwhile, keep to their line-up after their successful 4-1 over Wycombe.

The only difference to the squad is the inclusion of Callum Marshall on the bench after he missed the win on the weekend due to personal reasons.

  7. Draw specialists MK search for a first winpublished at 12:23 BST 17 October

MK Dons v Luton (12:30 BST)

MK Dons are the only team in the EFL not to win this season and while they've only lost two in eight, being draw specialists is doing them no favours.

They are second from bottom, just two points above, and in real risk should they not starting collecting three points instead of one.

In order to earn that all important first win, they need to beat a team whose supporters didn't exactly welcome them when they first moved near their neck of the woods from Wimbledon in 2003.

Just 20 miles separates the Dons and Luton Town but they have only met in a single campaign once before. A rare meeting in close proximity - a storybook would suggest this is one to truly kickstart a campaign.

Plymouth Argyle are sitting pretty at the top at the moment but there are four other teams who can unseat them this afternoon - all with a game in hand too.

Sheffield Wednesday will be looking to break back into the play-off spots to relieve pressure on boss Henrik Pedersen.

While it's madness down at the other end with only Wigan Athletic guaranteed to remain in the bottom four.

  10. Rovers pair return; Shrews make one changepublished at 12:20 BST 17 October

Shrewsbury v Bristol Rovers (12:30 BST)

Bristol Rovers have joint top scorer Bobby Kamwa and captain Richie Smallwood back in their starting line-up to face Shrewsbury.

The pair replace Ellis Harrison, who is among the substitutes, and midfielder Tommy Leigh - serving a suspension following his red card in last weekend's 3-1 defeat to Barnet.

Shrewsbury boss Gavin Cowan makes just one tweak to the side that lost to Exeter last time out, bringing Josh Davison back into his forward line while Isaac Fletcher drops to the bench.

Of all those heading to Croud Meadow this lunchtime, it’s hard to imagine anyone could be more eager than Bristol Rovers striker Fabrizio Cavegn.

The 24-year-old Swiss grabbed a hat-trick last time the Gas travelled to Shrewsbury, on New Year’s Day, to earn his side a 3-0 victory and spark their climb away from danger in League Two.

Rovers go into today’s game in a rather healthier-looking ninth place – yet they do need to address an alarming slump of four defeats from five games, along with the worst defensive record in the division.

However, the good news for Rovers is that they haven’t lost to Shrewsbury – or indeed conceded a goal – in the last six league meetings between the sides.

The Shropshire club, whose start to the campaign has been overshadowed by a potential takeover from an American consortium, are 18th in the table after their four-match unbeaten run was ended by a 1-0 loss to Exeter last weekend.

  12. Douglas, Jellis & Bradshaw start for Millers; Fleetwood unchangedpublished at 12:16 BST 17 October

    Fleetwood v Rotherham (12:30 BST)

Rotherham boss Alex Bruce has shuffled his pack with three changes from the side that suffered a 4-1 defeat at home to Gillingham.

Defender Hamish Douglas is handed his first start of the season, with Jamie Jellis and Tom Bradshaw also brought into the Millers' starting line-up. Kieran Ngwenya, Ossama Ashley and Kian Spence are the trio making way.

Fleetwood's Matt Lawlor names an unchanged starting XI from the side that fought out a 1-1 draw against Walsall last weekend.

  13. Struggling Millers seek to tighten up at Fleetwoodpublished at 12:14 BST 17 October

    Fleetwood v Rotherham (12:30 BST)

Rotherham badly need to plug their leaky defence, so a trip to misfiring Fleetwood might be just what the doctor ordered for Alex Bruce’s less than merry Millers.

Bruce’s side tumbled to their heaviest defeat of the season last weekend, going down 4-1 at home to Gillingham – just a few days after shipping another four goals on their own turf against Bradford in the EFL Trophy.

So maybe being away from New York Stadium will do the Millers some good as they seek to rectify their run of one victory in seven games and start climbing the table.

Opponents Fleetwood, four places above their visitors in 16th place, are looking equally out of sorts, having failed to win any of their last five league fixtures and mustered a total of four goals during that sequence.

With that said, the Cod Army did discover their scoring touch recently in the EFL Trophy when they put four past League One side Barnsley – all of those goals coming in the second half.

Any of the top four could end the day at the apex, while the top 12 could cause a shuffle in the play-offs spots.

At the other end of the table, five teams will be wary of ending up in the bottom two but no one has a bigger task than basement side Crawley Town. They are already trailing by three points and on goal difference as it stands and have to face league leaders Salford City to try and pull themselves up.

Five things to look out for

The leaves are turning, the shadows of British Summer Time are lengthening and you can't move for Halloween paraphernalia in the shops.

It's a special time of year, not least in the EFL where teams are already jostling for position in the race for promotion, and survival.

We're still a week away from the clocks going back but a glance at the top of the Championship might convince you we've rewound well over a decade already, with seven of the current top nine teams having sat outside the top flight for at least half a dozen seasons, and plenty of them more than double that.

The third tier is also as intriguing as ever while you can pretty much throw your cap over the League Two promotion chasers.

Here are some of the standout fixtures and narratives across the EFL that you should be keeping your eyes on this weekend.

  17. Welcome!published at 12:00 BST 17 October

    League One & League Two

    Ready for more EFL delights?

Today features a doozy between League One leaders Plymouth Argyle and fourth placed Huddersfield Town, while an unsettled Leicester will look to avoid dropping into the bottom three against table neighbours Doncaster Rovers.

Before that, we will see if MK Dons can regain their composure against Luton Town to avoid giving Wigan Athletic the chance to lift off the bottom.

As for League Two, well, it's quite the rodeo. Bottom dwellers Crawley take on top dogs Salford, who are one of nine teams in the battle for an automatic promotion spot.

Settle in folks, the show will soon begin.
