    Kent 353 v Glos 229 & 80-2

That early chance to Zak Crawley at slip apart, Kent's bowlers aren't looking especially menacing so far this morning.

Matt Milnes is short and wide in his latest over and Tommy Boorman cuts for four.

What is the County Championship prize money? I’ve looked all over the internet to no avail.

    Peter, Taunton

That's a question which has also been on our minds this morning, Peter. No answer as yet.

I had a dream last night, both Somerset and Leicestershire batted until lunch on day 4, and skittled their opponents out to win. They say dreams come true right? Right?!

    Glamorgan 505 v Essex 116-7

A first and very welcome boundary of the day for Essex.

Zaman Akhter drives Ray Toole through the covers to move to nine not out.

That is quickly followed by a second four as Simon Harmer sends Timm van der Gugten to the rope.

  4. Postpublished at 10:50 BST 26 September

    Somerset 237-3 v Surrey 422

A misfield from the final ball means Reece Topley misses out on successive maidens.

He is getting the hint of some movement.

Ralphie Albert's short two-over spell is done and Adam Thomas is on.

    Budinger b Woakes 47 (Warks 372 v Leics 125 & 69-4)

    Chris Woakes does the business!

A first wicket for Warwickshire 20 minutes into the day's play and it's the important scalp of Sol Budinger for 47 as he had been batting well and could have proved an ongoing obstacle for the Bears.

Brilliant ball from Woakes as that angled in, stayed low and crashed into the stumps leaving Budinger in a very awkward-looking pose.

Just the start the home team and their fans would have wanted as they go on the hunt to wrap up the title.

    Derbys 4-0 - target 333

Three slips in place but Harry Came clips Tom Taylor to square leg for four to get Derbyshire's chase under way at New Road.

    Leaning c Gubbins b Neal 12 (Hampshire 128 v Sussex 244 & 230-6)

A first wicket of the morning for Hampshire as Jack Leaning goes for 12.

  8. wicket

    Martindale c Bess b White 15 (Notts 251 & 58-5 v Yorks 179)

Yorkshire are right back in this.

Jack White tempts left-hander Ben Martindale to play at a ball wide of off stump but the attempted drive draws a thick outside edge.

Dom Bess does the rest at third slip.

The Notts lead is just 130 as Lyndon James walks to the crease with much work to do.

In this morning's conditions, given our openers performances this year, I wouldn't fancy Yorkshire to get more than 200 max in the fourth innings and most of those would need to come from Hill and Bess.

    Kent 353 v Glos 229 & 70-2

We haven't seen much of that in this watchful innings by Tommy Boorman.

He throws the bat at a wide one from Matt Milnes and that's four.

    Warks 372 v Leics 125 & 67-3 – Leics trail by 180

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

I would suggest it looks like batting conditions are significantly better this morning which isn’t a surprise, it’s a lovely morning. There’s not much wear and tear. I think Manav Suthar may well be a factor today.

    Conway lbw b Roland-Jones 0 (Middx 255 v Northants 103 & 255-9)

The end is nigh for the Northamptonshire innings.

Toby Roland-Jones, bowling down the slope, gets one to nip back in and strikes the pad of Harry Conway who failed to get forward.

Conway goes for a two-ball duck and Middlesex have just one more to prise out.

  13. Postpublished at 10:42 BST 26 September

    Somerset 231-3 v Surrey 422

Reece Topley forces a couple of play and misses from Tom Lammonby but the pitch at Taunton looks pretty flat and batter friendly.

    He bowls a maiden.

  14. Postpublished at 10:40 BST 26 September

    Warks 372 v Leics 125 & 64-3 – Leics trail by 183

It's the ultra dependable duo of Chris Woakes and Ethan Bamber opening the bowling for the hosts in the Birmingham sunshine.

No-one has more wickets or bowled more overs in Division One of the County Championship this season than Bamber.

Sol Budinger is on 45 not out and Jonny Tattersall is on four for the Foxes.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 10:40 BST 26 September

    Gibbon c Guest b Potts 23 (Worcs 214 & 206 v Derbys 88)

Worcestershire's second innings lasts just five deliveries on day three as Ben Gibbon edges Nick Potts to the keeper, leaving Matthew Waite on 74 not out.

The last-wicket pair, though, do at least have the satisfaction of posting a 50 partnership before Gibbon's demise.

Potts finishes with 3-61 - Muhammad Abbas falls one short of 10 wickets in the game - and Derbyshire's target will be 333.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 10:38 BST 26 September

    Sanderson c Duke b Helm 23 (Middx 255 v Northants 103 & 254-8)

Early breakthrough for Tom Helm and Northants' hopes fade a little more.

Helm sends down a beauty which angles in towards off stump, forcing Ben Sanderson into defensive mode.

But a thick outside edge gives Harry Duke a regulation catch behind the stumps.

Northants lead is 102 as number 10 Harry Conway joins Saif Zaib.

  17. Postpublished at 10:37 BST 26 September

    Lancs 15-0 v Durham 493

Two early boundaries for Lancashire's Michael Jones as he steers Duanne Olivier down to third man and then cracks the South African away square.

Quite a bit of time lost in this game yesterday, which given the match position and Lancashire's recent form, was probably good news for the home side.

  18. Postpublished at 10:36 BST 26 September

    Somerset 230-3 v Surrey 422

Ralphie Albert is one of the two Surrey replacements drafted in for the final two days of this game.

He is going to open the bowling as well with his left-arm spin.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 10:35 BST 26 September

    Haynes c Bairstow b White 27 (Notts 251 & 55-3 v Yorks 179)

Early wicket at Trent Bridge as Jack Haynes falls.

It's taken just four balls for Jack White to strike as Haynes pushes forward in defence, but the ball gets a little extra lift and catches the edge through to Jonny Bairstow.

That's four catches for the Yorkshire wicketkeeper. Haynes falls 25 runs short of 1,000 for the season.

    Mitch Hay joins Ben Martindale.

  20. Postpublished at 10:34 BST 26 September

    Somerset 229-3 v Surrey 422

Reece Topley strays off line with his third ball of the day and Tom Abell drives nicely to the cover fence for the first boundary of the morning.

Somerset will want to score at a decent lick this morning.
