    Lancashire 75-3 v Durham 493

Durham have picked up a third Lancashire wicket but in truth, Marcus Harris rather gave it away.

The Australian came down the track and tried to lift Callum Parkinson's left-arm spin over mid-wicket but hit it straight to Shaf Ghafari, who said 'thank you very much' for the second time this morning.

Harris made 11 and Rocky Flintoff is now out there with Josh Bohannon.

  2. Lunch at Trent Bridgepublished at 12:39 BST 26 September

    Notts v Yorks 30-0 - target 158

Adam Lyth plays out a maiden to Brett Hutton and that's lunch.

No prizes for guessing who this morning session has belonged to.

Yorkshire whipped out the final seven Nottinghamshire wickets for just 30 runs and have already taken as many runs off their victory target of 158 in just seven overs.

The visitors will need a further 128 runs to collect a sixth Championship win of the season.

    Hampshire 128 & 26-4 v Sussex 244 & 319-9 dec

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

This has been another disappointing day for Hampshire

Sussex enjoyed themselves earlier building on the already huge lead they had overnight.

Nobody is expecting Hampshire to win this, far from it.

But in batting second just try and take the game at least to the end of day three and show some fight.

I’m afraid confidence is drained and there appears an air of resignation amongst the batters.

It feels as though they can’t wait for the curtain to come down.

  4. Lunch at Canterburypublished at 12:35 BST 26 September

    Kent 353 v Gloucestershire 229 & 150-6

Kent's progress towards promotion appears inexorable after they picked up four wickets during the morning session at Canterbury.

Gloucestershire add six runs from the final over before lunch, bowled by Ekansh Singh, to take their total up to 150 but they are only 26 runs in front.

Kamran Dhariwal and Daz Ahmed added 54 for the fifth wicket before the former was lbw to Khaled Ahmed, and there were two wickets in the session for Matt Milnes, who has 4-26 from 14 overs.

Dhariwal remains on 26 not out but Kent are surely on their way to playing Division One cricket again in 2027.

  5. Lunch at Lord'spublished at 12:35 BST 26 September

    Middx 45-2 v Northants - target 134

Calvin Harrison pitches one on leg stump and it turns sharply past the outside edge of Ben Geddes' bat. And that's lunch.

Perhaps a little hope for Northants but they will need to make sthinghs happen quickly after the interval.

Max Holden has played nicely for 31 with Geddes unbeaten on eight.

Middlesex will need 89 more for victory this afternoon.

  6. Lunch at Tauntonpublished at 12:34 BST 26 September

    Somerset 353-3 v Surrey 422

A very good morning for Somerset as they go through without losing a wicket.

Tom Lammonby has gone to a career-best 180 while Tom Abell (114*) completed a century.

Both were dropped in that morning session and seemed pretty regulation chances - one in the slips and one at cover.

Surrey have toiled but these two look well set under the blue Taunton skies and there may be more misery to come for the visitors in the afternoon session.

  7. Lunch at Cardiffpublished at 12:33 BST 26 September

    Glamorgan 505 v Essex 129 & 37-1

Glamorgan polished off the final three wickets of the Essex first innings for only 29 runs this morning.

Zain ul Hassan finished with 5-14.

There was no surprise the home side enforced the follow-on and Paul Walter and Dean Elgar seemed to be getting to lunch with very few alarms until ul Hassan got one through Walter and bowled him.

    Somerset 349-3 v Surrey 422

A 250 partnership between Tom Lammonby and Tom Abell.

Lammonby plants Mahipal Lomror into the stands for a maximum to reach the milestone.

The Somerset 350 then comes up with a single and a third batting point for the home side.

    Notts v Yorks 20-0 - target 158

Brett Hutton runs one past Adam Lyth's outside edge as the Yorkshire opener props forward in defence.

It draws plenty of cries of anguish from the slips cordon, but in truth, they have created little threat in the opening five overs.

Lyth is struck on the glove and calls on the physio. We'll have a brief break in play, but the Yorkshire opener will be okay to continue.

The captain takes a wicket just before lunch! Ed Barnard's first of the innings and his 30th of the season.

He pins Ian Holland lbw for 23 and the Bears move that little bit closer.

Two wickets away from winning the County Championship title.

A big blow for Essex just before lunch and out comes skipper Tom Westley.

Lammonby swings Mahipal Lomror over the rope for six.

  14. Postpublished at 12:26 BST 26 September

    Notts v Yorks 17-0 - target 158

Will Luxton gets to the top of the bounce from Mohammad Ali and forces a shot through the offside for the first boundary of the innings.

Opener Luxton then clips one off his pads past Tom Giles for back-to-back fours as he looks to motor.

A profitable over brings Yorkshire 11 runs and within 141 runs of their target.

    Middx 30-2 v Northants - target 134

It's time for spin already as Yuzi Chahal joins the attack in just the 12th over.

Northamptonshire skip Luke Procter doesn't have the luxury of runs to play with to wait for things to happen.

Max Holden eases the ball into the offside for a single. Tidy over.

Spin at both ends now as Calvin Harrison turns his arm over.

Zafar Gohar found some real turn for Middlesex yesterday so worth a shot.

  17. Postpublished at 12:18 BST 26 September

    Glamorgan 505 v Essex 129 & 26-0

Running repairs for Paul Walter at Cardiff.

He wants a new rubber grip fitted to the handle of his bat.

Out comes a member of the Essex backroom staff to do the necessary in impressively quick time.

    Bracey c Dudgeon b Milnes 5 (Kent 353 v Glos 229 & 141-6)

    Brave but ultimately futile.

Injured James Bracey lobs a catch to mid-on off Matt Milnes and limps back to the dressing room after a brief 14-ball stay.

Gloucestershire are just 17 ahead with only four wickets left.

  19. Postpublished at 12:16 BST 26 September

    Somerset 315-3 v Surrey 422

Tom Abell needs a replacement bat.

A shot off Ralphie Albert catches the very bottom of the bat and splits it.

Wonder how many spares he carries in his bag?

Anyway, a new implement is in his hands and he drives for four runs.

    Warks 372 v Leics 125 & 113-7 – Leics trail by 134

It's taken a long time in the morning session but the Foxes have found the boundary - and follow it up with two more fours to move past 100.

Ian Holland (20*) and Tom Scriven (16*) at the crease as we approach the lunch interval.
