    Leicestershire 171-7 v Hampshire 214

Tom Scriven has played a useful hand here, helping to add 21 for the eighth wicket with Hamza Shaikh.

Three slips in for Kyle Abbott, bowling to Hamza Shaikh - who pushes a single into cover via a thick edge.

Scriven shapes to drive to off and gets an inside edge into the leg side for one.

Leicestershire scrapping for every run on a seaming surface.

    Sussex 18-0 v Notts 240

Two boundaries in a row for Sussex opener Tom Haines as he drives consecutive deliveries from Mukesh Kumar through the covers for four.

Eight from the over and this has been a decent start in reply by the hosts.

Pretorius struck on the handpublished at 11:00 BST 16 September

    Yorkshire 212 v Somerset 86-8

Another beauty from Ben Cliff and Migael Pretorius jabs the bat down in time.

Cliff has 6-37 and has Somerset on the edge. The Cliff edge.

Nasty. The ball rises awkwardly and strikes Pretorius on the glove.

That glove is coming off and the physio is coming on.

    Pretorius will bat on.

  5. Postpublished at 11:00 BST 16 September

    Kent 184-7 v Lancashire 161

Jimmy Anderson strikes Zak Crawley on the knee roll and he likes the look of it. His team-mate do too as they all go up...

But Crawley is quite a long way forward and his height means that not out is probably the right shout. Would've been going a fair way over the top.

  6. Postpublished at 11:00 BST 16 September

    Sussex 10-0 v Notts 240

George Thomas is off the mark for Sussex with a nice drive through the covers off Olly Stone.

Notts got off to a decent start in their first innings, putting on 47 for the first wicket before slumping to 150-8.

Sam Hain sends the ball to the boundary rope with an authoritative shot for his second four of the morning.

He is batting well and is not rushing anything.

Vicious. Bouncing and leaving the bat via the edge.

Nothing Jack Leach could've done about that and Ben Cliff has six wickets.

    Migael Pretorius to bat next.

  9. Postpublished at 10:57 BST 16 September

    Sussex 6-0 v Notts 240

A big appeal from Oly Stone and the Nottinghamshire field as they hear a noise as it zooms through George Thomas on the way to wicketkeeper Mitch Hay.

Not out is the call and replays show it looks to have brushed Thomas' shirt rather than bat or glove.

  10. Postpublished at 10:56 BST 16 September

    Surrey 115 v Glamorgan 132 & 57-0

A well directed bouncer from Dan Worrall catches Zain ul-Hassan by surprise and the Glamorgan opener is fortunate to glove it overt the slip cordon and away for four runs. The lead is now 74.

  11. Postpublished at 10:56 BST 16 September

    Kent 181-7 v Lancashire 161

Matt Milnes isn't hanging about this morning for Kent.

He guides one down to third man for four off Mitch Stanley and Milnes moves to 29.

The next major target for Kent will be the batting point. They'll need another 69 runs to get there.

  12. Postpublished at 10:55 BST 16 September

    Leicestershire 166-7 v Hampshire 214

Hamza Shaikh pushes a ball from Kyle Abbott that barely passes the crease at the non-striker's end. Tom Scriven just makes his ground as the return throw hits the stumps.

Scriven also survives an LBW shout in a probing over.

We're looking forward to seeing Jack Auld bowl, according to an email we've had he's really quick. The email said 'I played against Auld this season when he took seven wickets. Easily the fastest bowler I've ever faced. Then he points out he was one of the three Auld didn't get'.

  14. Division Two updatepublished at 10:55 BST 16 September

Are Durham going to fall short of maximum batting points?

Matthew Potts is gone, bowled by Matthew Waite for a duck.

They are 444-9 against Worcestershire and need another six runs for the fifth point.

Ollie Robinson is now 84 not out.

  15. Postpublished at 10:55 BST 16 September

    Sussex 6-0 v Notts 240

Mukesh Kumar's first over for Nottinghamshire on debut and it's a maiden. Just the one leg bye from it.

  16. Postpublished at 10:53 BST 16 September

    Yorkshire 212 v Somerset 86-7

That'll do. Jack Leach gets four runs off Ben Cliff, edging off the toe of the bat and wide of the slip cordon. They all count.

Now Leach is forward to Ben Coad, pushing into the leg side for a single.

We're down to two slips for Craig Overton with deep third now covered.

Overton is on the defensive and Jack Leach will face Ben Cliff again.

  18. 50 up for Glamorganpublished at 10:51 BST 16 September

    Surrey 115 v Glamorgan 132 & 48-0

Auqib Nabi with Dan Lawrence and Rory BurnsImage source, Shutterstock

Lengthy advice from Dan Lawrence for Auqib Nabi while we wait for a helmet to be brought to the middle so Ben Foakes can stand up to the stumps.

"Keep it away from his pads" would be wise words for anyone bowling at Tribe.

Nabi beats the outside edge - that's a painful blow on the hand for Foakes!

But the next one is angled at the pads and that's four leg byes added to the Glamorgan total - which passes 50.

  19. 'A shot of real class'published at 10:50 BST 16 September

    Essex 134 v Warwickshire 161-9

    Kit Harris
    BBC Sport commentator

Hain just stepped inside the line of the ball and played a lofted perfectly judged shot. A shot of real class and perhaps one that indicates within the first 15 minutes Hain as already got his eye in

  20. Postpublished at 10:50 BST 16 September

    Sussex 5-0 v Notts 240

A first boundary of the innings for Sussex as Tom Haines drives Olly Stone on the up through the covers for four.

See ball, hit ball, barely moved. Lovely shot.
