    Robinson showing how to bowl on this pitch, very few hit me balls, good line & length. Archer and Tongue not disciplined enough to bowl similarly and allowing Pakistan to score freely. It's why Test match cricket is the best format because you need many attributes to succeed.

    Play resumes with an ugly, uncontrolled thwack from Imam-ul-Haq but it has more than enough on it to fly away for four.

    Jofra Archer responds by beating his outside edge but is later beholden to Josh Tongue, who denies Imam-ul-Haq another boundary with a tumbling interception.

    Shafique, who began the over with two, finishes it with back-to-back boundaries. Playing off his pads for the first one and driving through mid-on for the second.

    Just 0.6° of swing seen so far today, the equal lowest ever seen by this point in the first innings at Headingley. In a post Anderson and Woakes era, with England's attack evolving more to line/seam bowlers, expect to see lower new-ball swing numbers going forward.

    Josh Tongue is looking sharp, angling a delivery into Abdullah Shafique's body. The ball slams into his thigh but too high for lbw.

    That's twice now he's troubled Shafique having beaten his bat in his previous over.

    Shafique keeps the strike with a single off the final ball of the over.

    Lively fielding from Dan Lawrence - a running one-handed pick up before nailing the stumps with his flick. Alas, Abdullah Shafique is comfortably home as Pakistan nick a quick single.

    Warwickshire have announced the signing of Australian opening batter Jake Weatherald for the 2027 season.

    Having been dropped from the Australia Test side following their shock nine-wicket loss to Bangladesh in Darwin, the chances of Weatherald making the Ashes squad next summer appear slim.

    However, after a spell at Leicestershire at the beginning of this season, he will be back in the County Championship - and on hand should the Aussies require an opening batter at short notice - next year.

    Weatherald featured in the winter's Ashes series in Australia but struggled, making only one half-century as he averaged 22.33 across 10 innings.
