    Lancs 87 v Kent 178 & 152-3

Singh launches a big six over long on and that's some way for the visitors to bring up 150 runs in their second innings.

    O'Neill c Rew b Gregory 21 (Notts 178-7 v Somerset 310)

Somerset make a key breakthrough to split up a promising Nottinghamshire partnership!

Fergus O'Neill dangles his bat just outside off from Lewis Gregory and it takes a nick on the way through to wicketkeeper James Rew.

Gregory has four wickets and Somerset are in the driving seat at the moment.

    Notts 178-6 v Somerset 310

And that is enough to take Haynes to his 50 from 80 balls for Notts.

    Notts 175-6 v Somerset 310

  8. Postpublished at 16:28 BST 13 June

    Lancs 87 v Kent 178 & 144-3

Lancashire took three wickets in three balls for a team hat-trick just after tea yesterday.

No such repeat today but can they apply a bit of pressure on Kent to keep the score down?

    Bell-Drummond c Moores b Balderson 34 (Lancs 87 v Kent 178 & 143-3)

Much like they did yesterday evening, Lancashire strike immediately after tea!

Daniel Bell-Drummond tries to tickle it down the legside from George Balderson but feather it and Joe Moores is alive to it behind the stumps to take a smart catch.

Can the home side shift the momentum?

A dominant session for Sussex adding 148 runs largely through an excellent seventh wicket partnership of 114 between Jack Carson and James Coles.

Coles, who has been short of runs this season returned to form with a vengeance, his innings so far containing shots all around the wicket.

The news that Henry Crocombe has been called up to the England squad means that Dom Goodman makes his first appearance for Sussex since his move from Gloucestershire last winter.

    Durham 377 v Derbys 118 & 15-0

Matthew Potts hasn't got his line right yet and Harry Came collects two boundaries through the cover off back and front foot.

A positive start by Derbyshire and they need to keep it going.

  13. Yorkshire 'win battle of wills'published at 16:19 BST 13 June

    Yorkshire 469 v Warwickshire 124-4 - tea

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

Yorkshire have a clear advantage after winning a long battle of wills after lunch. Their bowling has been more disciplined than Warwickshire managed yesterday, steady and consistent in line and length, waiting for the batters to make an error without giving them many ill-directed balls to hit in the meantime.

It took a while. Rob Yates and Dan Mousley resisted sturdily for half an hour, but in his first over of a new spell Hassan Ali induced Dan Mousley to push away from his body and drag the ball on to the stumps.

Sam Hain survived one low chance in the slips and edged a pull over the wicketkeeper, but was starting to find his rhythm when he chipped a legside half-volley, the first ball of a new Jack White spell, to midwicket.

When Beau Webster fell in the same fashion in White’s next over, Yorkshire knew they had won the session.

They would have won it more comprehensively if they could have disturbed Rob Yates, but the left-handed opener set his jaw against the breeze and ground out a half-century. Yates will know his team need him to be ticking over for a while yet.

  14. Tea at Worcesterpublished at 16:18 BST 13 June

    Worcs 152-5 v Middx 339

Worcestershire were up against it throughout the session but an unbroken sixth wicket stand of 72 between Matthew Waite and Ethan Brookes has got the home side back in the game.

The batting side of Waite's all rounders contribution has been looking increasingly important to Worcestershire this season.

He's played crucial roles in saving matches at Derby and Southport and he's batting confidently here despite being knocked off his stride when hit by a bouncer from Eathan Bosch.

Toby Roland-Jones has shown he still has plenty to offer with the ball at the age of 38 taking four wickets during an excellent spell.

  15. Tea at Northamptonpublished at 16:15 BST 13 June

    Northants 465 v Glocs 118-4

James Bracey (27) and Graeme van Buuren (29) have done well to steady the ship from 56-4 with the right side of those numbers having more than doubled since they came together.

The partnership is up to 62 at the tea break which has refloated the innings when the Glocs boat looked to be listing in the water.

Northants 465 still looks a long way off which goes to show how well they timed their innings, particularly as the second new ball got older and softer.

Liam Guthrie, who did much of the late damage with the bat, has done well with the ball as well with the Australian 2-28 from his six overs.

  16. Tea at Scarboroughpublished at 16:14 BST 13 June

    Warwickshire 124-4 v Yorkshire 469

Yorkshire's bowlers have been on top throughout the session after completing a big first innings score this morning.

Jack White has enjoyed the most success with three wickets. He's bowled some very good deliveries but two of his victims, Hain and Webster, were guilty of loose shots on the leg side.

Rob Yates has offered the most resistance with an impressive battling innings scoring 53 off 145 balls as Warwickshire have struggled for any fluency.

They're still a long way from the 320 they need to avoid the follow on.

  17. Postpublished at 16:14 BST 13 June

    Durham 377 v Derbys 118 & 4-0

Back out in the middle at the Riverside and Harry Came tucks Ben Raine's opening delivery to long leg for four as Derbyshire follow on.

A repeat of their lacklustre afternoon batting and this one could be over tonight. But let's not get ahead of ourselves.

  18. Tea at Grace Roadpublished at 16:08 BST 13 June

    Leics 104-6 v Essex 401

    Nick KellyImage source, Shutterstock

That has been Essex's session, Essex's day and is rapidly turning into Essex's match.

Only Nick Kelly has got hold of an end and kept it although Sheridon Gumbs hung on to his despite not being able to use the platform he had so patiently built.

The pitch is doing all sorts with Simon Harmer getting turn and the seamer's getting the odd one to stay low.

Not easy and you feel the Foxes are going to be facing a significant first innings deficit.

  19. Tea at Hovepublished at 16:08 BST 13 June

    Sussex 407-7 v Glamorgan 155

Richard Hawley recorded a song a few years ago called Coles Corner, and James Coles has certainly turned a corner as far as his batting form is concerned this afternoon.

Coles is 135 not out at tea, a 164-ball innings featuring four sixes and 16 fours and, having claimed a fourth batting point, Sussex now lead by 252.

They added 148 during the afternoon session for the loss of three wickets, including John Simpson (34) and Jack Carson (46) following stands of 74 and 114 with Coles.

Glamorgan are going to have a whole lot better in their second innings than they did yesterday if they are to extricate themselves from this situation.

  20. Tea at Trent Bridgepublished at 16:07 BST 13 June

    Notts 171-6 v Somerset 310

Nottinghamshire have recovered well from 122-6 but still have a lot of work to do as we head for tea at Trent Bridge.

Somerset have taken the first six wickets for 171 runs and Notts trail by 139.

The defending champions do have Jack Haynes at the crease and unbeaten on 43, while Fergus O'Neill has got his eye in with 21*.

Breaking up this partnership could be the key for Somerset.
