No hat trick for Besspublished at 16:57 BST 13 June
Warwickshire 146-6 v Yorkshire 469
Close but not quite for Dom Bess.
He floats one up to Manav Suthar who just about keeps it out.
Jordan Cox scores 204 in Essex's 401 all out against Leicestershire
Somerset bowl out D1 leaders Notts for 193 to lead by 117 on first innings
James Coles hits 224 not out for Sussex as they build huge lead against Glamorgan
Jonny Bairstow scores 68 in Yorkshire's 469 all out against Warwickshire
Kent paceman Keith Dudgeon takes 6-21 as they bowl out Lancashire for 87
Kasey Aldridge takes 5-19 as Durham enforce follow-on against Derbyshire

Notts 189-8 v Somerset 310
Lewis Gregory has gone off injured and it looks like it could be some sort of muscular injury. Somerset will hope it's not a hamstring injury.
Craig Overton bowled the last two balls of the over that was meant to be Gregory's.
Gregory walks off with 4-51 from 13.4 overs. A fine bowling display.

Zen Malik defends against a turning delivery from Bess and edges to be caught behind.
Bess on a hat-trick
Reece lbw Potts 10 (Durham 377 v Derbys 118 & 32-1)
Not much argument there.
Luis Reece plays slightly across the line and Durham have the breakthrough after making Derbyshire follow on.
There are another 29 overs for the visitors to face before stumps.
Sussex 441-9 v Glamorgan 155
Tom Norton drops short and James Coles pulls it powerfully away over square leg for six to reach 150 off 182 balls.
His career-best is 180 - can he better that with only last man Jaydev Unadkat for company?
Yates b Bess 65 (Warwickshire 146-5 v Yorkshire 469)
Warwickshire's counter attack ends as Rob Yates is dismissed in an unfortunate manner.
A full length delivery from Bess hits Yates on the pads drifting down the leg side and deflects onto his stumps.
Notts 188-8 v Somerset 310
Not good news for Somerset. Lewis Gregory, their skipper and best bowler so far, has picked up an injury and will not be able to finish his over with two balls remaining.
He walks off holding his thigh after pulling up on the follow through.

Rehan Ahmed, who is in the squad for the second Test against New Zealand, listens to Leicestershire's coach during the tea interval against Essex.
Leics 121-6 v Essex 401
Aside from Lewis Hill only Nick Kelly has really grabbed hold of the bit in the Foxes innings with the right blend of defence and attack.
And he has just won that little battle batting out four dot balls against Simon Harmer before launching a big six straight to move to 45 (72 balls).
Ben Green is playing the sleeping partner at the other end with 6 from 36 balls.
Singh b Livingston 14 (Lancs 87 v Kent 178 & 168-4)
Ekansh Singh's quick cameo is over.
Liam Livingstone gets one to turn into Singh and it goes through the gate to take off peg.
Two sixes in his 14 runs from 30 balls for Singh. Lancashire need six more wickets.
Notts 188-8 v Somerset 310
Big appeal as Lewis Gregory strikes tailender Dillon Pennington on the pads but it's probably a question of height and maybe sneaking down the legside.
Warwickshire 135-4 Yorkshire 469
Warwickshire have struggled for runs throughout their innings but have produced some impressive attacking shots since tea.
Rob Yates pulled a Matthew Revis delivery from in front of his eyes for four and then he and Ed Barnard both hit boundaries off the next over from Dom Bess.
We've talked about Hassan Ali bowling against his former team and the same applies to Bess who played one match for the Bears on an emergency loan in 2023 at Chelmsford.
Durham 377 v Derbys 118 & 30-0
No joy yet with the new ball for Durham after making Derbyshire follow on. Luis Reece dabs down to third man for four in Matthew Potts' fourth over.
Hutton c Hermann b Pretorius 6 (Notts 187-8 v Somerset 310)
Somerset are rattling through Nottinghamshire.
Brett Hutton tries to pull away the short ball from Migael Pretorius but instead spoons it high into the air and Jordan Hermann is underneath it at mid-wicket to take a rather easy catch.
That's a first wicket of the game for Pretorius and Notts still trail by 123 runs with just two wickets remaining.
Sussex 432-9 v Glamorgan 155
We've seen some cracking shots in this innings by James Coles and there's another.
He lofts Tom Norton straight back down the ground but it just falls short of the rope and he has to settle for four.
A single follows before Jaydev Unadkat edges to the third man boundary.
Lancs 87 v Kent 178 & 165-3
It's effortless from Ekansh Singh as he launches George Balderson through wide mid-on and it's flown all the way for six.
He barely seemed to hit that but that's the second maximum he's hit since coming to the crease.
Singh moves on to 14 from 28 balls.
Worcs 163-5 v Middx 369
Both batters, Matthew Waite and Ethan Brookes has despatched short deliveries to the boundary since tea to take their partnership to 83.
Middlesex have brought Toby Roland-Jones back into the attack and he's denied his fifth wicket when a lusty lbw appeal is turned down.
Leicestershire 111-6 v Essex 401

I mentioned in my previous update that Essex's first innings total of 401 looked like a very good score on this pitch at Grace Road. It is, in fact, a remarkably good score.
Jordan Cox's double hundred, played with such aggression and intent, looks like a piece of batting brilliance. Very few have been able to get going.
Leicestershire haven't batted badly. Rehan Ahmed and Lewis Hill got out to pea rollers, Joe Evison and Ben Cox were snagged by balls that jagged back from well outside off stump.
Simon Harmer is keeping it remarkably tight with his off-spin, the pacemen are thundering in from the other end.
Nick Kelly, Leicestershire's New Zealand international overseas player, is their only hope. He, like Jordan Cox, looks to be batting on a different pitch, timing the ball beautifully.
Don't be surprised though if the Foxes are batting again tonight...
Notts 186-7 v Somerset 310
Brett Hutton plays through the offside from Lewis Gregory and takes a thick edge but it's enough for it to squirt away for four behind square for his first boundary since coming in.
Sussex 423-9 v Glamorgan 155
Non-powerplay T20 field by Glamorgan, with James Coles on strike.
He's not interested in singles and pulls Mason Crane away for four to move to 141 not out.
Coles does take one from the fifth delivery and Jaydev Unadkat survives the last.
