Derbyshire survive the final over of the morning at the Riverside, bowled by Matthew Potts, after the shock of Harry Came's early exit.

Came fell to Ben Raine, who earlier advanced to 63 - the highest score in Durham's first innings - as they reached 377 before finally being bowled out.

Ben Aitchison took five wickets for the visitors, who they will need to bat well to get close to matching that total.

Luis Reece is four not out and Matt Montgomery has yet to score.

Harry Finch pounces on a short one from Tom Bailey and smashes a pull away for four through square leg.

James Coles reaches a 73-ball 50 in the final over before lunch by depositing Mason Crane into the pavilion for six, to go with two fours in an over which cost the Glamorgan spinner 15 runs..

It's been another excellent session for Sussex, who have added 123 runs to their over night 136-2 for the loss of Jack Leaning and Daniel Hughes and now lead by 104.

Hughes was lbw to Ben Kellway for 72 but Coles (56*) and John Simpson (23*) have looked in total control in adding 59 since then.

The first batting bonus point is in the bag for the home side, and they have plenty of overs left to add two or three more.

Cameron Bancroft and Joe Phillips remain unbroken in the four overs possible before the lunch break and they have nudged the score 15 runs in the right direction.

Aside from that little spell, Northants have enjoyed the best of the morning with their tail wagging pleasingly to push their overnight score from 380-7 to 465 all out.

Harry Conway (21) and Liam Guthrie (52) were largely responsible for that and at 465 the hosts have put themselves in a strong position at least not to lose this match.

Kristian Clarke finished the innings with 6-109 while Jack Taylor weighed in with a quickfire 2-11, taking the last two wickets in five balls at the death.

Middlesex's bowlers have been on top after their lower order added useful runs in the first hour with teenager Sebastian Morgan finishing unbeaten on 58.

It's been a real struggle for the Worcestershire batters who haven't managed a boundary in 14 overs.

Harry Finch edges one off Jimmy Anderson but it flies to the boundary at third man for four.

Now can the visitors get to lunch without any further damage? They lead by 96 runs at the end of the first over.

Nottinghamshire have recovered well after finding themselves 9-2 early on.

Haseeb Hameed was caught in the slips for a four-ball duck by Archie Vaughan after Lewis Gregory found the edge.

Ben Slater was then trapped in the fifth over by Gregory but Freddie McCann (19*) and Joe Clarke (26*) are just starting to build for Notts.

The hosts had removed Somerset's final three wickets for just 15 runs earlier this morning.

Game very much in the balance as things stand.

A tough morning for Warwickshire at North Marine Road. They did eventually end Yorkshire's innings but not before the home side entertained the crowd.

Jonny Bairstow reached 68 off just 59 balls before Hassan Ali and George Hill cut loose with Ali hitting sixes off successive balls and number 11 Jack White also adding a maximum at the end.

Yorkshire secured the fifth batting point with time to spare and the Bears will have been consoled at claiming the third bowling point in the final over available.

The early dismissal of Alex Davies underlined the work Warwickshire need to do but Rob Yates and Dan Mousley managed to survive to the interval.

Joe Clarke pushes through the covers from Migael Pretorius and it flies away for four to bring up 50 runs for Notts.

Kent will have to come out and bat for about 10 or 15 minutes before they take lunch.

Don't lose any wickets will presumably be the first job for the visitors. We've already had 20 in this match.

Freddie McCann completely mistimes what looks to be an attempt to pull it through the legside from Craig Overton and spoons the ball a long way into the air.

Migael Pretorius runs in from mid-on to try and take the catch on the dive but it goes through the middle of his hands.

McCann is 19*. Will that prove a costly drop for Somerset?

Having done his bit with the bat - scoring 63 - Ben Raine will bowl the opening over as Derbyshire start their first innings at the Riverside.

Harry Came collects a couple to get the scoreboard moving, but their focus will be to avoid any loss in the few minutes left before lunch.

Joe Phillips gets Glocs reply up and running with a clipped four off the first ball from Liam Guthrie.

That was a bit full and Phillips gets plenty on it to beat the fielder at the deep midwicket boundary.

We've had a flat pull for six by James Coles off Timm van der Gugten at Hove as Sussex continue to build their lead.
