  1. 'Derbyshire are in a spot of bother'published at 16:02 BST 5 September

    Glos v Derbyshire 40-3 – target 319

    Dave Fletcher
    BBC Radio Derby Sport

Madsen goes forward, it takes the edge and goes straight into the slip’s hands.

Derbyshire are in a spot of bother because the ball is turning and they have absolutely no idea what to do with Sai Kishore, he’s picked up all three wickets and they are still a long way behind.

A third wicket for Glos and a third wicket for Sai Kishore!

Wayne Madsen tickles it to Ed Middleton at second slip after scoring only five from 11 balls.

Kishore has five wickets in the match now.

    Finally!

Adam Finch is caught by Tawanda Muyeye - Matt Milnes picks up his third wicket to seal the W.

Kent got there in the end but, my oh my, they were made to work for everything by Worcestershire.

Brett D'Oliveira's unbeaten 103 epitomised their determination and pride at trying to take this match as deep as possible but in the end Kent were just too far ahead.

Their seamers got it right in the end - Keith Dudgeon rediscovered his rythum and his three wicket spell around tea broke the back of the Pears' resistance.

Both Finch and D'Oliveira were stunned at the end. The captain sinking on his haunches when the catch was taken and defeat confirmed.

They'll be huge disappointment to get this close but what an effort.

For Kent, this is a brilliant win - their fourth in five - and the 19 points they takes them 15 clear of Northants into second spot on their own.

  8. 'It's a massive win for us' - Callum Parkinsonpublished at 15:39 BST 5 September

Durham beat Northants by 153 runs

Durham spinner Matt Parkinson was the match-winner in their stunning 153-run win at Northamptonshire that takes them (at the moment) 55 points clear at the top of Division Two and closer to promotion.

The left-armer took 6-20 as Northants were rolled out for just 50 trying to chase down 204.

"I got a couple of wickets in the first innings, but probably didn't spin it to the extent that those two did. Granted, they're obviously leg spinners, but probably came in today with a bit of nerves, a bit of pressure, knowing that I'm probably the sole front-line spinner that we're playing," Parkinson said.

"But obviously delighted with how I bowled. I thought Matt Potts set the tone really well, and also our catching on the whole throughout the game has been magnificent.

"Ollie Robinson was outstanding behind the stump in the second innings, Kasey [Aldridge] with a great catch, and those things make a massive difference as a spinner when you know that you've got such class helping you around the bat. It's a big confidence builder.

“I just thought we were relentless. We brought a really good intensity today, which was something that we've not necessarily lacked, but Alex Lees is naturally an aggressive captain, and the lads really went with him.

"We've played front foot cricket all year, and it's a massive win for us in terms of getting back into the top division.”

  9. Kishore on a hat-trickpublished at 15:39 BST 5 September

    Glos 237 & 359-5 dec v Derbyshire 278 & 20-2 – Derbyshire need 299 to win

From 20-0 to 20-2 in the blink of an eye as Sai Kishore takes two in two balls!

Harry Came is trapped lbw before Matt Montgomery is bowled.

    Can Kishore complete his hat-trick?

Rishi Patel gets one to turn and bounce and left-hander Freddie McCann pokes it to Steven Eskinazi at slip.

    That woke everyone up!

  11. Tea at Bristolpublished at 15:21 BST 5 September

    Glos 237 & 359-5 dec v Derbyshire 278 & 20-0 – Derbys need 299 to win

That's the tea interval at Bristol, one last session to go for these two sides.

Derbyshire have navigated their way to tea with all 10 wickets still intact and there are 39 overs scheduled left to play.

  12. Interval - Tea at Canterburypublished at 15:18 BST 5 September

    Worcestershire 283-7, target 380 v Kent

That wicket of Tom Taylor has put this match back in Kent's hands you feel.

The fact that they've had to wrestle it back at all has been down to a tremendous effort from the Pears. Led by skipper Brett D'Oliveira's unbeaten century.

It looks like being in vain but getting this 380 victory target down to under 100 has been an excellent effort.

The new ball is only eight deliveries away and Kent will feel they can wrap this one up with that.

With Northants' capitulation against Durham, it would be a sweetly-timed win.

A 90-minute afternoon session comes to an end.

Notts and Leicestershire seem to have settled for the draw which will suit them both at each end of the table.

Haseeb Hameed goes to tea on 66 with his side leading by 186.

Sai Kishore and Ollie Price are bowling for the hosts as they look for the first breakthrough.

    Taylor lbw b Dudgeon 10 (Worcestershire 283-7, target 380 v Kent)

    Big moment in the game.

Keith Dudgeon shapes one into Tom Taylor and it nips further back at the right-hander.

It's zipped though and looks like it's taking the top of middle and leg.

D'Oliveira is still there but Kent will know the other end is open now.

Right on the stroke of tea.

Worcestershire still need 97, Kent three more wickets.

A brilliant innings from the Worcestershire captain. Leading from the front, and then some.

He rocks back and steers Grant Stewart down to deep third for a couple.

It's his first of the season, first against Kent and 14th in first-class cricket.

It's the reason his team still have a sniff of winning this superbly poised match.

for Hameedpublished at 15:07 BST 5 September

    Notts 451-8 dec & 93-0 v Leics 365

It feels a bit like a practice match out there at Trent Bridge at the moment.

Haseeb Hameed has just gone past fifty, the 67th time he's done it in first-class cricket.

Hameed is up to 62, and Notts lead by 179.

A minimum of 20 overs to go as the spinners rattle through them.

Leicestershire will take 11 points when this game ends in a draw to move them seven points behind eighth-placed Yorkshire.

The Foxes have back-to-back home games against Somerset and Hampshire before ending the season at Warwickshire.

Will they stay up do you think?

  19. GLOS DECLARE - DERBYSHIRE NEED 319 TO WINpublished at 14:43 BST 5 September

    Glos 237 & 359-5 dec v Derbyshire 278 – Derbyshire need 319 to win

Soon after James Bracey reaches his century, Glos decide it's time to call their players in.

We have about 45 overs left to play today.

Derbyshire's batters will head out to the middle after a short break.

    Finally for Kent!

SOS for the stumps again as two are flattened by a thick inside edge off Keith Dudgeon.

It ends a terrific effort from all-rounder Matthew Waite whose 37 soaked up nearly an hour and a half in support of his captain.

But, boy did Kent need that.

Four more needed. The Pears still need 115 runs.
