    Eeek.

Will Jacks fancies a bit of this, too.

Three fours in the over, but it is stinking bowling. First a full toss is whipped off his pads, before Madushanka offers two half-volleys wide of the off stump and Jacks slams them both to the ropes.

It's such a lovely shot from Harry Brook. He's so still when he connects with the ball.

It's a beautiful shot. Extraordinary, really.

    Where do you bowl?

Harry Brook whips off his pads for an effortless six, before clubbing two more fours down the ground.

    400, anyone?

  8. Eng 277-3published at 40.1 overs

    Silly, just silly.

Brook sets up for a ramp but Asitha Fernando adjusts his line well and throws it wide of off stump. Somehow, Brook reverse-dabs it for four regardless.

Harry Brook now averages double as a captain than when he wasn't.

The other day when I interviewed him, he seemed a more mature character. I think his batting and general management shows that.

Harry Brook's knock has included 10 fours and five sixes so far. He looks completely locked in to add a fair few more to that tally, too.

10 overs to go. Strap yourselves in...

It's very hard to see how Sri Lanka stop the flow of runs without taking wickets. England are just able to make the most of anything loose coming at them. England are very well placed here.

And again! Brook repeats the shot, and gets the same result.

Sri Lanka are wilting, at the mercy of his brilliance.

Fantastic display of patience from Harry Brook. It's ended up being a quick hundred but he didn't come flying out the blocks. He had to be patient.

    Eng 263-3

    Unbelievable.

Harry Brook goes to a 75-ball century in the most Harry Brook way you could imagine. He shuffles across his stumps and scoops Asitha Fernando for four.

    What a ridiculous cricketer.

So simple. Brook just makes it look so easy. Just guiding it in that gap. One blow away from a well-deserved century for Brook.

  17. Eng 259-3published at 39 overs

Sri Lanka are receiving similar treatment to be fair, Jack, so you're not alone.

Brook opens the face of the bat and gloriously guides the ball for four.

    He moves to 97...

Played against Harry Brook in school T20 game back in 2017 or so. He hit 120 in about 16 overs, reverse sweeping and scooping our opening bowlers well before it was the norm. Never seen anything like it.

Will Jacks joins Harry Brook in the middle.

Jordan Cox and Sam Curran are still to come. It could be a lively final 10 overs!

That 69 from Joe Root has set the foundation for England to keep the march going on.

Now it's the chance for Will Jacks to capitalise here.
