Have your say on England men this winter

  1. Eng 410-3published at 48.3 overs

    Harry Brook, wow.

He is gifted another full toss and dispatches it for six to reach 183, England's highest ODI score of all time.

    183 off 107 balls. Sensational.

  2. How's stat?!published at 12:48 BST 22 October

This is now the 11th time that England have scored more than 200 runs in the final 20 overs of an ODI innings. The most runs off the final 120 balls came against the Netherlands in 2022 where England scored 274 in the final 120 balls on their way to 498-4.

    400 up in style!

Will Jacks slams another six down the ground. He has 65 off 29!

Ha, I genuinely can't keep up.

Will Jacks launches another six over long-on, and then flays a full toss for four to bring up a 25-ball fifty. He has been magnificent, but completely overshadowed by Brook.

Sri Lanka's decision to go for four frontline bowlers has completely backfired. Dasun Shanaka has bowled six wicketless overs for 74...

  5. Eng 380-3published at 47.1 overs

England edge closer to 400 thanks to a stunning six down the ground from Will Jacks. It's ruthless.

Brook is batting like he's playing a video game with all the settings set to easy! This is brilliant!

Wide yorker outside off stump, so obviously Harry Brook sweeps it behind square.

And then goes up and over cover to end the over with another boundary.

He moves to 177, which is England's third-highest ODI score.

Oh to have as much talent as Harry Brook, this is superhuman batting. You can't play better than this.

There are not many more things I like to watch than Harry Brook in full flow.

    It's been ridiculous, hasn't it?

  10. Eng 362-3published at 46 overs

    Outrageous.

Harry Brook flicks one down leg for four, and then skips down the pitch to hammer another. Sri Lanka's bowlers are taking an absolute battering.

He has moved to 168 off 103 balls with 18 fours and eight sixes.

No length has been safe for pace bowlers today against Harry Brook. Only yorker length deliveries have restricted Brook to a strike rate of less than 100.

400 is definitely on for these two out in the middle. And they still have Jordan Cox, Sam Curran and Jamie Overton to come.

It wouldn't surprise me if Curran came out next.

  13. Not outpublished at 45 overs

    Eng 351-3

Nope, his bat hit the ground.

    As you were.

  14. SL reviewpublished at 45 overs

Sri Lanka send a review upstairs, thinking Will Jacks has been caught behind. It seems a little optimistic.

  15. 6 runs

    Eng 350-3published at 44.4 overs

Seriously, how does he do it?

Eshan Malinga is bowling his wide yorkers pretty well - at least, as well as you can to Harry Brook.

England's captain somehow manages to drive one of them over point for six?!

  16. Head out as South Africa boost hopes of beating Australiapublished at 12:28 BST 22 October

    Big, big moment in Gqeberha.

Australia had blunted South Africa for more than an hour on the final day of the second Test but, with the new ball less than six overs away, Wiaan Mulder has got the big wicket of Travis Head for 121.

Australia are 209-5, still 117 runs behind, and Steve Smith has just walked out to bat after sitting out the afternoon yesterday with a neck issue.

Harry Brook has dismantled the Sri Lanka bowling and that over was a prime example of it. He has decimated their attack.

  18. 150 runs

    Eng 338-3

A honking over for Sri Lanka.

Brook drives through the covers for four more, before Asitha Fernando oversteps and Brook reverse ramps the extra ball over the keeper's head to move past 150. It's only taken him 97 balls.

Also, England have scored 83 off the last 31 deliveries.

These shots from Brook are becoming more and more outrageous. Simply sublime. What a player!

    What? How?

Asitha Fernando bowls a pretty good yorker but Brook somehow angles the bat and dinks it past short third for four.

    Absurd.
