Leicestershire 327-4 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

It is not numerically possible for Nick Kelly to get his century now but he'll settle for a win and a not out here for sure.

He's on 86. He goes down the track, misses a swing to leg and an appeal for caught behind is turned down. Over bowled.

Leicestershire are on the cusp of victory and of course have a One-Day Cup final on Sunday.

James Fuller gets one to cut back off the seam and Ben Cox is nearly cut in half.

Cox has one hand off the bat working a ball to fine leg for one.

    Seven to win.

Surrey 328-6 - target 612 to beat Glamorgan

Ben Foakes steps onto the back foot to work it through mid-wicket off Mason Crane and it runs away for four. Foakes then nudges another single to mid-on.

Tom Lawes takes one to end the over. Six from it.

  7. Postpublished at 13:51 BST 18 September

Leicestershire 322-4 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

Kyle Abbott is off and now Manny Lumsden is in the attack.

    Is he changing ends?

A very short ball is swiped away to deep square leg by Ben Cox for a single.

Short again. Nick Kelly swivel-pulls behind square for four.

Kelly goes down the track and top edges over the slips for four. A bit of a slog really but he's got away with it.

A drive goes through Lumsden at around head height and down the ground for four.

Another pull shot. Four to square leg. 12 to win.

Surrey 321-6 - target 612 to beat Glamorgan

Surrey need about 5.3 an over to win this. They've gone along at four an over so far.

    Seems rather unlikely, doesn't it?

Glamorgan are within four wickets of a win which would take them above Surrey in the Division One table

  9. Postpublished at 13:47 BST 18 September

Leicestershire 305-4 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

James Fuller is back in the attack. He replaces Scott Currie.

The first ball is guided to fine leg by Ben Cox for one.

Wide from Fuller. Kelly reaches for a cut, nearly falls over and misses.

Kelly goes for a big hit, trying to swipe an off side ball to leg and misses again. He's in a hurry to wrap this up.

Kelly digs out a yorker to point. The sixth ball is stroked to backward point and Ben Cox declines the run.

Hampshire paying the price for an awful recruitment and release policy in the last few seasons. Have let quality players go to be replaced by not so quality players. Were lucky the last two seasons not to be relegated. Hope they give the kids a chance now.

WICKETpublished at 13:43 BST 18 September

    Thomas b Crane 0 (Surrey 316-6 - target 612 to beat Glam)

Beautiful delivery from Mason Crane. He draws Adam Thomas forward and the ball turns and knocks out off stump.

This is no longer a run chase. It's a question of whether Glamorgan can take the four more wickets they need for the win.

  12. rain stops play

Rain delays in Division Twopublished at 13:43 BST 18 September

Away from the Northants chase, the other two games in Division Two are off for rain.

At Chester-le-Street, Worcestershire were 32-1, chasing 253 to beat Durham, when they came off.

In Bristol they've just gone off with Gloucestershire 111-6, set a nominal target of 392 by Middlesex.

Well deserved congratulations to Sussex who are probably heading for 4th in the table (3rd if you include the points deduction). With all the off-field shenanigans, a commendable effort without a number of first team players for most of the season.

Leicestershire 304-4 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

Three slips in for Kyle Abbott. Kelly tries a scoop to leg and is hit again - this time on the arm. He's been through a few tough moments here.

It's worth remembering he will be needed on Sunday for the One-Day Cup final.

Just outside off stump and swung through the line by Kelly for four. Risky but he's got the ball away through mid-wicket.

The physio is coming on, presumably for Kelly.

  16. Postpublished at 13:36 BST 18 September

Leicestershire 300-4 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

If Leicestershire make these runs - it would seal a first win over Hampshire in the County Championship since 2012.

Short from Scott Currie and pulled away for one by Nick Kelly.

Ben Cox flicks a ball fine off his pads for a well-run two.

Full and driven through mid off by Cox for four.

That's the innings 300 in the 85th over.

Cox is beaten playing inside the line to see out the over. 34 to win.

  17. SUSSEX BEAT NOTTS BY SEVEN WICKETSpublished at 13:34 BST 18 September
    Breaking

    Sussex 358 & 76-3 v Notts 240 & 193

Oli Carter steps back and cuts away for four to the point boundary off Liam Patterson-White and that is game over.

A dominant Sussex pick up a well-deserved victory over the defending champions.

The home side have controlled proceedings from the first over on day one to the last on day four.

Nottinghamshire's hopes of retaining the County Championship title for the first time in the club's history are dealt an almighty blow.

Notts will be 15 points behind Division One leaders Warwickshire heading into the final game of the season and four points shy of Somerset in second.

Sussex are up to fourth in the table. They would have been level on points with Notts without that 12-point deduction this season - and third by virtue of the fact they have now won six games.

That's the same number as leaders Warwickshire and second-placed Somerset.

Sussex 72-3 - target 76 to beat Notts

Oli Carter tries to finish the game with a flourish off Liam Patterson-White but he miscues it to Mukesh Kumar at short fine leg... but Kumar puts it down.

  19. Postpublished at 13:31 BST 18 September

Leicestershire 293-4 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

Kyle Abbott is round the wicket to Nick Kelly.

Another nip backer! A drive on the up brings an inside edge on to the pad.

    Kelly switches to defensive mode.

A play and miss doesn't carry through to Ben Brown behind the stumps and this is going for a bye.

  20. Postpublished at 13:31 BST 18 September

Sussex 68-3 - target 76 to beat Notts

A single apiece for George Thomas and Oli Carter to get the required number of runs needed into single figures for Sussex.

    Just eight more.

Thomas has 38 and Carter seven.
