Leicestershire 186-4 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

Nick Kelly is in an open stance trying to pull James Fuller away and he is again hit on the side. Ouch. Very ouch.

It's not meant to be a pleasant game at this level.

Kelly goes across his stumps to flick a ball behind square leg.

Two runs there and the target dips below 150.

    Overton c Bairstow b Cliff 5 (Somerset 87-7 - target 287 to beat Yorkshire)

Somerset's usual hero is gone and there will be no such repeat of Craig Overton's first innings exploits.

Overton nibbles at a length ball outside off stump from Ben Cliff and nicks off to Jonny Bairstow.

Cliff has 10 wickets in the match and Somerset will almost certainly give up control of their title fate, barring a miracle.

  3. ouch!

Kelly struck by Fuller deliverypublished at 11:18 BST 18 September

Leicestershire 184-4 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

Hampshire have kept Leicestershire rather pinned down in the last few overs.

Two slips in for James Fuller. Nasty. Fuller gets one to nip into Kelly, striking the batter on the midriff.

  4. Gloucs need 392 to winpublished at 11:18 BST 18 September

    Gloucs 296 v Middlesex 326 & 361

There's little riding on this Division Two game, but Middlesex keeper Harry Duke will be hugely disappointed.

He's just been dismissed for 94 to give Gloucestershire seamer JT Langridge a fifth wicket.

Middlesex are all out for 361 in their second innings, meaning Gloucestershire will require 392 for victory.

A tough ask for a side who have lost nine of their 12 games this season.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:16 BST 18 September

    Hay lbw b Carson 27 (Sussex 358 v Notts 240 & 176-9)

    Nottinghamshire are on the brink.

A fantastic delivery from Jack Carson as he gets one to spin in a long way and it strikes Mitch Hay on the front pad.

Umpire David Millns decides it's struck Hay in line and is going on to hit.

Hay goes for 27 and Notts have just one wicket left with their lead only 58.

  6. Postpublished at 11:16 BST 18 September

Leicestershire 184-4 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

Nick Kelly is hit on the thigh pad by Kyle Abbott. One leg bye.

We have a short leg in and one delivery is almost chipped to that position. The ball lands safely in front though.

Kelly is forward, getting a thick inside edge through to Joe Weatherley at square leg.

Abbott gets one to nip away as Kelly drives and misses.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:15 BST 18 September

Pope c Foakes v ul Hassan 75 (Surrey 213-3 - target 612 to beat Glamorgan)

The first of eight wickets needed by Glamorgan today.

Ollie Pope edges Zain ul Hassan and Chris Cooke, standing up, takes a good catch.

The stand with Ryan Patel added 167.

Let's not forget that the Tykes were 54 for 6, so keep believing Somerset!!

    Steve - Cardiff

Amazing how 2 poor 3rd innings from Somerset against Yorkshire this season have cost the title!

    Simon - Cullompton, Devon

All Yorkshire are doing is rushing to the inevitable Craig Overton masterclass. Somerset win by 3 wkts with him unbeaten on 80. Nailed on

    Paul - Leeds

  9. Postpublished at 11:12 BST 18 September

Somerset 84-6 - target 287 to beat Yorkshire

Lewis Gregory gets off the mark with a lovely flick of the wrists to clip Ben Cliff for four through mid-wicket.

They're going to need a whole lot more of that.

Somerset are 11-3 so far this morning.

  10. Postpublished at 11:11 BST 18 September

Leicestershire 183-4 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

    We're ready to continue.

Ben Cox is back with a straight bat defending.

A fuller James Fuller ball is blocked on the front foot into the on side.

    Maiden over.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:08 BST 18 September

    Rew c Lyth b Coad 0 (Somerset 79-6 - target 287 to beat Yorkshire)

Somerset's hopes of a first County Championship title are going up in smoke.

Another huge blow as James Rew goes for a duck. Ben Coad finds the outside edge and it flies to Adam Lyth at second slip and he makes no mistake.

If ever a captain's innings was needed from Lewis Gregory, who is the new man to the crease, it is right now.

  12. ouch!

Ben Cox struck by a short ballpublished at 11:07 BST 18 September

Leicestershire 183-4 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

Change of bowling. James Fuller replaces Scott Currie in the Hampshire attack.

Ben Cox is forward defending in the on side.

He tries to pull a short one and is hit on the helmet.

That bounced sharply and was on to him before he could execute the stroke.

    Concussion check now.

  13. Postpublished at 11:06 BST 18 September

    Sussex 358 v Notts 240 & 166-8

Tom Giles made 32 in the first innings for Notts and he's just played a lovely shot here to guide down to third man for four off Ari Karvelas.

Giles might need to improve on what was a career-best score if his side are to have any chance of victory.

  14. Postpublished at 11:03 BST 18 September

Leicestershire 183-4 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

Kyle Abbott is round the wicket to Nick Kelly with three slips.

Kelly squeezes a thick outside edge safely to gully. No run.

Another Abbott delivery bounces and nips away. Encouragement for Hampshire - who got the early wicket of Hamza Shaikh this morning.

    Maiden over.

  15. Postpublished at 11:03 BST 18 September

Somerset 78-5 - target 287 to beat Yorkshire

Craig Overton picks up a single off Ben Cliff and he must be getting a sense of deja vu.

Somerset were of course in a very similar position in their first innings at 55-5 when Overton came to the crease.

We'd hazard a guess that there is even more pressure on this situation now though...

  16. Postpublished at 11:02 BST 18 September

    Sussex 358 v Notts 240 & 162-8

Mitch Hay pulls away nicely from Tom Price to add four more runs to the Notts total.

Just the boundary from the 60th over and Notts lead by 44 runs. Hay moves onto 18.

Plenty of work still to do.

  17. Postpublished at 11:02 BST 18 September

Surrey 206-2 - target 612 to beat Glamorgan

A great delivery from Timm van der Gugten just beats the outside edge of Ollie Pope's bat.

Wicket-keeper and slip go up. The bowler doesn't appeal.

  18. Postpublished at 10:59 BST 18 September

Leicestershire 183-4 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

Ben Cox battles through the Kyle Abbott over, still looking for his first run after 10 deliveries.

Now Scott Currie bowls to Nick Kelly - who again drives wide outside off stump and gets a single.

Ben Cox digs out a yorker and gets a run to backward point off his 11th delivery.

Kelly moves across the stumps glancing fine for four. A cut in front of point brings one more run.

In the previous innings 33 overs was when batting got easier. Drawing this game we are reliant on beating Surrey and getting 4 more bonus points than Warks (unlikely) and we come 2nd. Losing this game we come 2nd. This is our chance. C 40-50 overs to get 200.

    Simon, formerly of Taunton

Batting doesn't look too easy after 37 overs here, Simon. Yorkshire are bowling brilliantly. Somerset certainly have a serious mountain to climb right now.

  20. ouch!

Struggles for Ben Coxpublished at 10:55 BST 18 September

Leicestershire 176-4 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

Kyle Abbott strikes Ben Cox on the pad. Height is fine but too leg side.

Cox is forward to block the next ball into the off side.

Another nip-backer strikes the batter "amidships" so to speak.
