As a Yorkshireman I have conflicting feelings as I would have liked Somerset to win the Title. It has to be said however that in a match that has seen 3 innings with each scoring over 200, the Somerset collapse says a lot about coping with pressure.

    John, Newark

This Championship season feels like a missed opportunity for Yorkshire. We have had some hugely impressive & dominant wins, only to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory on at least 2 occasions. Hopefully next year…

    Allen, Penistone

Yorks have been rubbish at polishing off the tail all season, ... until now! What's made the difference?

Leicestershire 234-4 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

Ben Cox is down the track to Felix Organ.

The ball pops off a length, landing just in front of short mid-wicket.

A full ball is driven down long off for four! 100 to win now.

    64 for the current partnership.

Lingering sense of what could have been in Yorkshire. Two agonising white ball QF defeats and losses against the two bottom CC teams (and the Surrey heartbreak) proving costly. This team has something though, and could be a serious side with another step forward next year.

    John, Keighley

Lifelong Bear here. Good to see the Yorkies win, and I'm glad that the missed run-out yesterday had no bearing on the result.

    Mike, Sutton Coldfield

At least this title is being settled by results on the pitch and not the weather. Come on you Bears!

Leicestershire 230-4 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

Nick Kelly cuts Manny Lumsden to deep cover point for a single.

Ben Cox cuts in front of square - and we have another hard-run two.

A Lumsden inswinger is flicked away leg side. Two again, piling pressure on the fielders.

Lumsden bowls a leg side short ball that Ben Cox leaves.

Cox is tucked up by the next ball but squeezes it away in front of square leg for one.

Now then! Kelly is across the stumps trying to glance to leg on 41...

An inside edge bounces just a little in front of Hampshire keeper-captain Ben Brown.

Sussex 24-2 - target 76 to beat Notts

George Thomas clips away through mid-wicket from Olly Stone and it races away for four.

Thomas then unleashes a big cover drive for another four from the last ball of the over.

That's 10 runs from the over for Sussex and they're now 52 runs away from victory.

Oh well another season another disappointment at nearly the last hurdle. Losing 3 matches out of 14 you will never win the County Championship.

    Nick, Taunton

Somerset woke up this morning with the taste of champagne on their lips, and they lunch with the taste of defeat on their plate.

    Bob, London

Have Somerset fell off the Cliff

    Derek, Crete

    Very good, Derek. Too soon?

Leicestershire 224-4 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

Felix Organ floats one up just outside off to Nick Kelly - who drives off side for two.

Organ gets one to drift into the pads and Kelly blocks.

Kelly goes back to the sixth ball of the over and drives for one into the off side.

    Yorkshire 212 & 275 v Somerset 201 & 101 - Yorkshire win by 185 runs

Worth mentioning that Ben Coad ended with 4-33 in that Somerset second innings.

Ben Cliff also took 3-29 to end with 11 wickets in the match and overall figures of 11-105 from 31.4 overs.

Leicestershire 221-4 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

A lone slip in place for Manny Lumsden.

Ben Cox is beaten going back outside off stump.

Single now to the leg side.

Nick Kelly pulls a short one outside off and the ball is dragged just wide of Kyle Abbott at mid on for one.

A wide ball is cut behind square by Ben Cox for two.

He pushes his next ball through mid on and sprints a two, much to the applause of home supporters.

A clear change of tempo for Leicestershire ahead of the 80-over mark when the second new ball is due.

    71 overs bowled so far.

Clark lbw b Hutton 0 (Sussex 14-2 - target 76 to beat Notts)

    Nottinghamshire couldn't, could they?

Brett Hutton traps Tom Clark in front and Clark goes for a two-ball duck.

You'd still expect Sussex to win this comfortably but Notts do not want to give up their title without giving it a good go with the ball.

Worcestershire need 253 to beat Durham

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Matty Potts and Callum Parkinson added some real niggle value at the end of the Durham innings. Their stand was worth 48 and it means Worcestershire are chasing a demanding 253 on a track which has been doing all kinds today.

The variable bounce could be a real issue, particularly if the bowlers can hit a certain spot from the Finchale End.

Durham were all out for 235 when Potts was bowled By Fateh Singh with his first delivery of the day. Parkinson made 16*.

  12. Postpublished at 11:56 BST 18 September

Leicestershire 215-4 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

Nick Kelly leaves Felix Organ outside off - as the spinner gets one to bounce and turn away a little.

A shorter, wider ball is cut away by Nick Kelly for two.

Kelly squeezes a ball to gully off a thick outside edge.

He'll get a single pushing off a thick edge into the leg side.

Ben Cox is down the track pushing to wide mid off for one.

    Haines b Stone 8 (Sussex 13-1 - target 76 to beat Notts)

You can't leave a straight one.

It's nipping in on a length from Olly Stone and Tom Haines inexplicably shoulders arms.

The ball clatters into the top of off and Haines goes for eight. Nine more needed for Notts...

Sussex need another 63 to win.

  14. Postpublished at 11:52 BST 18 September

Leicestershire 211-4 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

Manny Lumsden replaces James Fuller in the attack.

He starts with a short ball and Nick Kelly ducks it.

Kelly taps a single into the lg side.

Width! Cut! Four to Ben Cox!

Four more off the next ball - this time cut behind square!

A few supporters are starting to sing "Leicestershire! La, la, la..."

It's all over at Headingley. Somerset's hopes of a first ever County Championship title are officially no longer in their own hands.

Full, fast and straight by Matthew Revis to clean bowl Jake Ball and Somerset are all out for a dismal 101 to fall a long, long way short.

No way to dress it up for Somerset this morning. An atrocious performance with the bat in which they were 28-7 on day four.

Somerset will go into the final game of the season 11 points behind Warwickshire.

  16. 1,000 runs for Vasconcelospublished at 11:51 BST 18 September

Northants 120-0 - target 349 to beat Derbyshire

The over enthusiastic announcer called it five runs too early but Ricardo Vasconcelos does go on to reach the 68 he needed to reach a thousand championship runs for the season.

He becomes the third player to reach that treasured landmark this season following Durham's David Bedingham and Joe Clarke of Nottinghamshire.

It's been a remarkable season for the 28-year-old who is now chasing his sixth century of the season

Surrey 258-3 - target 612 to beat Glam

A lovely cover drive for four from Dan Lawrence who's got Surrey going again after they'd gone through a slow period.

They require a bit more than 4-and-a-half a over to pull off an incredible run chase.

  18. Gloucs in troublepublished at 11:50 BST 18 September

    Gloucs 22-3 (target 392) v Middlesex

Gloucestershire's pursuit of 392 to beat Middlesex isn't going well.

They've already lost three wickets, including Miles Hammond first ball.

  19. Pears need 253 to winpublished at 11:48 BST 18 September

    Durham 465 & 235 v Worcestershire 448

Durham have been bowled out for 235 in their second innings at Chester-le-Street - Matthew Potts the last batter to go after a breezy 35.

It means Worcestershire will require 253 for victory and to hand the Division Two champions their first defeat of the season.

  20. Postpublished at 11:48 BST 18 September

Leicestershire 202-4 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

Quick single to Ben Cox off Felix Organ, pushing the spinner down the ground.

Turn for Organ this time as Nick Kelly goes back and misses outside off stump. Palpable tension for both teams really.

130-odd doesn't feel like a lot with six wickets in hand - though one must factor in the importance of the chase plus the second new ball - due in 12 overs.

Kelly will keep the strike with a single driven to mid off.
