Yorkshire 207-8 v Somerset
Jonny Bairstow takes Yorkshire past the 200 mark with a four pulled through mid-wicket and into the Western Terrace, dissecting two fielders. Short and too leg side there from Migael Pretorius.
Four more, paddling a short ball square on the leg side.
Sussex v Notts 126-6
Nice shot by Liam Patterson-White who drives a full delivery from Tom Price past mid-off for four. They not a lot more of those.
Yorkshire 199-8 v Somerset
Jonny Bairstow moves to 70 with four runs off Jake Ball, pulling confidently from outside off through mid-wicket.
He gets a single turned to long leg. One ball left in the over.
Outside off stump and Ben Coad leaves it alone.
Tea: Essex 134 v Warwickshire 58-3
Mike Taylor
BBC WM commentator
A nagging worry for Warwickshire while they were running through Essex so easily this morning might have been the thought of how they would generate a useful set of batting points on the same surface, against a skilled home attack. Sam Cook and Shane Snater made that fear real by sending back the top three within eight overs.
Those among Essex’s rivals near the bottom of Division One should not look at the score here and wonder if the surface might be penalty-worthy, however. There has been some seam movement, and signs of turn in Manav Suthar’s short spells, but swing – and control of that swing – has made a large contribution to the batting difficulties. Constantly changing overhead conditions may have played a part in that, but the umpires kept the game going even when the lights were needed for a while this afternoon.
In the early period after lunch, George Bell extended his fine effort to an eventually unbeaten 61, playing with enough skill and judgement to be worth far more in other conditions. Without him, Essex might have fallen for fewer than 50, but he took his chances to score and cajoled the tail enough to add 101 for the last three wickets.
Ethan Bamber finally closed the show by yorking Sam Cook, completing a six-pack of wickets for the first time. Today he also passed 100 in the Championship for Warwickshire in only his second season with the county, and for now moved above Kyle Abbott as the most successful bowler in Division One this season, a landmark achievement for a bowler who combines being both Warwickshire’s workhorse and their attack-leader.
Surrey 50-3 v Glamorgan 132
Nice way to start.
England's Dan Lawrence receives a half-volley from Zain ul-Hassan and drives it to the cover boundary.
He then pushes a single as the total reaches 50.
Gumbs b Abbott 1 - Leicestershire 9-1 v Hampshire 214
Sheridon Gumbs is cleaned up by Kyle Abbott and bowled via an inside edge into off stump trying to defend.
Rehan Ahmed is in at three for Leicestershire.
Pope c Cooke b ul-Hassan 0 (Surrey 45-3 v Glamorgan 132)
Ollie Pope goes first ball!
He pushes forward in defence but Zain ul-Hassan finds just enough movement to fins the inside edge and Chris Cooke does the rest.
Pope isn't convinced but has to take the long walk.
Pope missed it by a mile. Standard of umpiring in the County Championship this season generally has been shocking.

Kuldeep c Rew b Ball 11 - Yorkshire 189-8 v Somerset
Keeper James Rew takes his third catch behind the stumps and now Kuldeep Yadav departs.
He's back in the crease to Jake Ball - possibly trying to take his bat inside the line of the ball, but nicks it.
Comfortable catch just below waist height.
Here comes Ben Coad.
Gloucestershire v Middlesex 222-8
Poor finish to the afternoon session for Middlesex as Harry Duke and Zafar Gohar both depart with the score on 222 - both of them run out.
Duke plays the ball for point, sets off for a single but is sent back by Gohar when already half-way down and is beaten by Daz Ahmed's throw to the keeper.
It's exactly the same scenario in the next over as Gohar chops Sai Kishore to point and doesn't even bother to dive as Matt Taylor's throw comes in.
Seb Morgan and Toby Roland-Jones will both be on nought after tea.
Northants v Derbyshire 228-6
Northants' bowlers came out all guns blazing after lunch, taking the wickets of Luis Reece and Brooke Guest in quick succession to reduce Derbyshire to 107-6.
But since then it has been all Derbyshire, with Wayne Madsen hitting an unbeaten century and Ben Aitchison moving to 47 not out as the pair have added 121 runs together.
Leicestershire 8-0 v Hampshire 214
There were in fact two concerns there. One was a possible leak in the square leg part of the field - and the other was a bit of unevenness on bowler's crease at one end of the pitch.
James Fuller finally completes the fourth over of the innings.
Yorkshire 189-7 v Somerset
Migael Pretorius bowls outside Kuldeep Yadav's off stump, but the latter is not going to play that one.
Over bowled. Jonny Bairstow is squared up by Jake Ball, who gets one to keep low but defends well enough.
the Yorkshire captain gets a single off the next ball - and a sweetly-timed push through point by Kuldeep brings four runs.
Burns lbw ul-Hassan 20 (Surrey 41-2 v Glamorgan 132)
Zain ul-Hassan is back from injury for this game.
It didn't go to plan with the bat as he was out for a duck.
But he strikes with the first ball of his opening over as an inswinging delivery has Surrey skipper Rory Burns leg-before.
Three more to go before tea.
Hay c Tear b Price 2 (Sussex v Notts 121-6)
Can Notts afford to 'draw a blank' as far as batting bonus points are concerned?
Mitch Hay plays a loose drive at a ball from Tom Price and Charlie Tear takes the catch at first slip.
Experienced Brett Hutton, back in the Notts side for this game, comes out to join Liam Patterson-White.

"I think there's a leak under there."
Leicestershire 8-0 v Hampshire 214
Down the leg side from James Fuller - and a great diving stop from keeper-captain Ben Brown down the leg side.
The umpires are inspecting the ball for as yet reasons unknown.
They're now looking at a patch on the ground. The plot thickens as a member of the ground staff come on to the field.
Durham 292-5 v Worcestershire
Quite an afternoon for Durham, who have added 175 runs for the loss of two wickets at the Riverside.
India's Mayank Agarwal is 109 not out, having shared sizeable partnership with both Ben Stokes and Colin Ackermann.
Stokes reached 50 off just 39 balls but was then lbw playing across the line and looked rather cross with himself after being given out.
The Division two champions are eight runs short of a second batting bonus point, and Agarwal's latest partner, Ollie Robinson, is on 21.
Essex 134 v Warwickshire 58-3
Sam Hain and Vansh Jani successfully negotiate a sticky session to see Warwickshire through until tea.
Rob Yates, Zen Malik and Dan Mousley all fell cheaply early on and the Bears were rocking on 20-3 before Hain and Jani steadied the ship.
They trail by 76.
Earlier, Ethan Bamber took 6-26 and George Bell struck a fine 61 as Essex recovered from 33-7 to post 134.
Kent v Lancashire 161
And that is that.
Jimmy Anderson goes for a golden duck as he's caught by Sam Northeast off Khaled Ahmed.
Khaled takes 5-42 from 15.5 overs and will be on a hat-trick in the second innings. Matt Milnes with 4-28 from 16 overs.
